Members sheilaforever Posted July 23, 2009 Members Share Posted July 23, 2009 Was ok - the directing was pretty fierce in parts (loved the intro with the sights of London *sigh*) but the screenplay was a joke. As a film it was still fine but they totally changed the focus of the book. The dark moody Horcrux story was nearly totally pushed aside (as well as many little moments in the film made zero sense within the movie or the context of whole series of movies) and replaced by sth. which felt like "American Pie Lite". This offered great laughs and made an enjoyable film but left the shallow taste of yet another teen flick. My favorite film by far is Part 3 which was fantastic. Finally, shallow statement of the day; I was glad that Daniel Radcliffe could be looked at, unlike when he guested on Letterman recently and looked like a Zombie.
