I like that OLTL's highest ranked is #24 TSJ. I do think over the course of the year OLTL did a really good job of moving stories and characters to the front burner then giving them some down time.

How does GL have nobody in the top 50? Nobody's in at least 1/3 of their episodes. Is their cast that big? Do they completely change stories every few months?

ATWT and GL HAVE to do character balance because of budgetary reason. They could only afford to pay 20-somethings for 80/90% of a years' episodes but then they would shaft someone like Michael Park and Kim Zimmer who have their episode guarantees anyway. So basically those shows feauture who they have to feauture for contract reasons, also trying to avoid massive viewer backlash by a newby overload which they have anyway.

Looking at GL's year end totals, Marcy Rylan was the highest and was in 145 episodes. According to the list, GL had 253 episodes this year, meaning she was in 57.31% of the episodes, putting her below the list. However, in the episode count, she should have tied the three other actresses at the end of the list.

I have Marcy Rylan at 143 and that is double and triple checking my numbers all year long and Daniel Cosgrove had 144 episodes falling just out of the episode count verison.

I went throught the tvmegasite transcripts for all three - One of the dates (11th?) had Aidan walkes in or something similar; but he did not have any lines and for Darnell Williams I could of missed a date because I know Jesse was sneaking around watching people when he first came back.
