OK, thanks for correcting me and identifying who was in the promo. I could've sworn that was Beverlee, but had she left by this point?

Nope. She was still on. She left around November 1981. This was likely the spring of 1981. Ryan and Ginny were in love but their relationship was complicated by Barrett's return. Barrett was psychologically unstable. I think Barrett was written out in June 1981 though resurfaced briefly a few months later. Interestingly, Stephen Newman also played Mike Marshall, the father of the Marshall kids when Texas was introduced on Another World in the summer of 1980. Mike committed suicide.

Gail Kobe was producer. I think Dorothy Ann Purser and Samuel Ratcliffe were head writers. Pam Long took over as head writer in the last months of the series in 1982.

OK, thanks!!! It seems that in its brief run (not even two and a half years), there was quite a bit of turnover in the writers/producers.

When TBS started airing the show in half hour segments in 1983 at 11.35 am following The Catlins, there was talk that if it proved to be a success, the show might go back into production.

Did that run start with the first episode? If deemed a success, how would the reruns mesh with new episodes?

The Catlins was reported as rating a 1.2 and P&G were looking for similar numbers for Texas.

I believe the TBS run began with the shooting of Alex Wheeler. The episodes were from November 1980.

No luck there. I found these characters in synopses found in the archives of this site, French Fan posted them a while ago. I checked most of the usual sites.

I didn't even know David Sederholm was on Texas - this was obviously before his run on RH. Maybe he was an extra? An under-five?

Probably, a lot of the old Who's Who on Soaps[an annual magazine] in the 80s would say actors appeared on other soaps without character names. I think a lot of them may have been under fives.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to tell. A lot of them don't even have this show on their imdb pages that I could see.

I don't recall them appearing on Texas. I did a The Google search and came across a number of articles about their appearances. So maybe it did happen.
