What type of woman does JFP come off to you?

^^^ Great post, titan1978. I can't claim to have seen any of her shows other than GL (and for me it was great under her). But your post was very intuitive, IMHO.

On Guiding Light she fully supported the ensemble work of that show, and no one was the single star from what I have read. The writers wrote for everyone, and she produced the hell out of it.

Ah yes, the first, what three years of GL under her were great. But then she started to overload the show with her friends, Marcy Walker and particularly Justin Deas. As a matter of fact, the reason Maureen Bauer was killed was to loosen up money for Deas (not his fault, but I resent both he and Buzz to this day) and to obscure the Bauers to make the Coopers the main core family. Deas and Buzz became THE star of the show, totally destroying the esenble feel JFP created, and week after week we had to watch as Buzz decided if he should leave town or not, while Nadine, the woman he treated like [!@#$%^&*], had to pine away for him. It's here where we see the start of GL's demise..and JFP's obsession with her "bad boy rascals."
