Yeah, but at least I *tried*. Which is more than I can say for all those head writers.

Why is this the well that DOOL keeps going back to? I don't mind the DiMeras, per se. But just make them this dark, dysfunctional family. I'd like the Bradys on one side, the DiMeras on the other, and the Hortons in the middle, mixing shades of light and dark. (The Hortons have quite the dark history, in spite of the Tom/Alice love story, what with Bill/Laura, and the Tommy thing, and Maggie's alcoholism, etc.)

Why we have to keep going back to this sci-fi/three prism/brainwashing/memories on a disk crap is beyond me. Stefano is an interesting enough character. Why does he have to be Dr. Doom?

But that has always been my problem.

How is changing John's face, brainwashing him and giving him to the family as Roman Brady screwing them? Stefano never had any intention of allowing Wayne's Roman to ever escape. That all happened by accident.

This is what happens when 9 different HWs screw up the history of a character and family. It's so bad now that I would now prefer killing Stefano, John & Roman and just getting rid of the whole damn thing.

Yep. He moved in briefly to protect her, and no one knew who was doing the killing.

Stefano never said he had feelings one way or the other about Marlena. He was pissed at Roman for shutting down his drug oepration while he was playing Pillar of the community.

Say what?!

It's Maryanne Caruthers all over again, lol.

Honestly, I am so fed up with soaps rewriting history (and on-screen history, in particular) to suit current story needs. There was no reason for...whoever to say the feud has been all about Marlena. No reason at all.

Or......

They could recast the role, explain why a new actor is playing Roman (I hate the "The part of -fill in the blank- will be played by......) and put the new Roman with Marlena.

John can then do whatever the hell he wanted.

That's why the Alex North thing made me so angry. Even if the story was AMAZING and PURE GOLD, it still stops you from casting Wayne as Roman again for awhile.

Then again, they brought Judi back as Adrienne after Bonnie was gone for A MONTH. So what the hell do I know?

I thought it was only me, but I'm not liking Stefano back at all. I hate super-villians who are capable of so much. Stefano was in a "coma-like" stae but he was able to put this entire plan in motion, before any one relized he was conscious! Did I miss something? And the hallucinigenic gas? I'm sure this is the segue for the 2 week Olmpic storyline, but really.

I like villians who are human and eventually lose. I thought it was great what Marlena did to Stefano. I always knew he would come back, but I wanted him to dook it out with Victor. I can't remember them both being on the canvas at the same time. Does anyone know if they ever were?

They've definitely been on the canvas at the same time, although I don't recall a whole lot of them crossing paths. Victor was mostly dealing with Justin/Adrienne, then later on, Isabella/Marina/Ernesto, then Kate (when Deborah Adair played her), while Stefano was mixing it up with John/Marlena/Roman. There may have been some crossover with Isabella, but I don't recall a whole lot of Victor/Stefano scenes.

    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
    • @Efulton thank you. I don't know how I missed it or didn't recall it.  I'll blame amnesia . Anyway @Errol Could the newer thread be merged to the existing? Thanks in advance.
    • I just finished watching and I have to admit, not once did I find myself wondering who wasn't there. Quick question for anyone who followed this better than I did: was it only Andrew who rescued Cat and John from Clyde, or was Shane involved too? The reactions during their scenes today felt a little off to me. I know it was meant to be vague, but I didn't find it strange that they already knew each other.
    • Yeah, financially, Luna is in better shape than Deacon and Sheila.   -- Scott Clifton must have decided to chew the scenery in every scene of this "Liam is Dying" storyline. Yikes.
    • If J.R. wasn't busy with Ewing Oil, he'd be a heckuva soap recapper. He was SO gleeful at recapping Jenna-Bobby-Pam when the trio and Mark encountered each other at the Oil Baron's Ball. That being said, Lucy, presumably Sue Ellen and maybe Ray should all know this story, or at least part of it. Lucy was definitely at Southfork during Jenna and Bobby's relationship, and I believe Sue Ellen was about to marry J.R. around the time Jenna jilted Bobby. (Ray might not have given a damn.)
