This question gets asked at the main Dallas MB, and it starts a major fight between members.

I think that he was, but that's just me. I just wanted to know what other Dallas fans thought.

If you are talking about fake jock coming back from the dead, I thought originally that he was suppose to be and then they changed their minds. But I don't know that as a fact.

You are right.

Steve Forrest was supposed to take over the role of Jock Ewing, but at the Barbeque, which was the episode where he was supposed to be revealed as Jock, it was re-written when the National Enquirer printed the story two weeks before it was supposed to happen, and angry fans hit the roof.

I thought that they wrote it as if Wes was Jock's friend from way back when and tried to take over his identity after Wes survived the plane crash. Could be wrong. It's been a while since I last saw the series.
