Members ian
I've thought of this for years... actually ever since the days when you'd hear "We'll return for the second half of Days of our Lives in just a moment." What if they did just that? Like, for half the show show a couple storylines, some characters then the second half of the show entirely change the focus to different characters and tell their story? so say on Days you have JoMar, cut to a scene with Sami and Kate for the first half, just an example then for the second half it's Bo and Hope and then scenes with, I dont know, Steve and Kayla... How many people watch the teasers see that none of the scenes are interesting, know exactly who's going to be in the show for most of the hour and just change the channel? This would eliminate that cause you'd change back at half past to see the second half. This may be a logistical nightmare in regards to where the characters are and having storylines mesh, but you can always move them forward, im not saying split the show down the middle, im saying just show different parts of it at different times It'd be like 2 half-hour episodes back to back. This way I think they would eliminate filler and better balance their cast... mind you this tack wouldnt work with B&B unless they just aired 2 episodes back to back LOL
Members jcar03
The overall problem isn't character balance it is just poor writing. If they did this format nothing would change.

I thing actually on Days when Sami/Austin was getting married in vegas, there was a week i think where one day would be all the evgas stuff, and the other day would be salem stuff.
