April 27, 200817 yr Member Leave GH alone Guza!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Funniest thing I have ever seen!!
April 27, 200817 yr Member We work very hard around here to show the consequences of violence to our characters. We want to say, "If you choose this lifestyle, it is going to come back to haunt you." Sonny is arguably one of the more haunted characters in all of daytime, precisely because h doesn't die but the people around him do. We've been ratcheting up the mob stuff for a long time, trying to come up with the single worst thing we could do to Sonny, Jason and Carly. The ripple effect is enormous. So the consequences of violence for Sonny is that loved ones die but are replaceable. Being haunted must be ah honorable thing because none of this has prompted any change. I'm not sure how Bob Guza says this with a straight face. The enormous ripple effect is that the person responsible for setting this wheel in motion by contracting with the crooked doctor, is going to get a free pass because she has daddy issues and whatever else. If he's trying to say he didn't start the mob and he has no choice because of that he should exercise his right to remain silent. Oh and I love Ryan's mafia cat.
April 28, 200817 yr Member Here's an excerpt from Carolyn Hinsey's interview with Bob Guza. Carolyn: So, whose idea was shooting Michael? Yours or the replacement writers? GH fans are very upset. Bob: Yes, we need to address this. They should be upset. It's a very upsetting thing -- and it was my idea. Carolyn: Was it in the works before the strike? Bob: We knew we'd do it at some point. Let me preface this by saying that this show had long been [accused of] being too violent, and of glorifying violence. Let's take them separately, because they are different issues. In terms of being too violent, that's fair. But we are a show whose central characters are mobsters and have always been mobsters. Tony Geary's character came on this show Frank Smith's runner from the mob. So this is not something that started with me. Is it too violent? Yeah probably. But it is the nature of the characters and the stories you have to tell. But the question of glorifying it is a different issue, and you and I have talked about this a lot. We work very hard around here to show the consequences of violence to our characters. We want to say, "If you choose this lifestyle, it is going to come back to haunt you." Sonny is arguably one of the more haunted characters in all of daytime, precisely because h doesn't die but the people around him do. "...the single worst thing we could do to Sonny, Jason and Carly." Wow, sounds like Guza hates his three puported cash cows! Imagine that. Guza is practically admitting that at least two of these three characters are completely hated by most of the fans (or, at the very least, tolerated). He knows that at least two of these three characters are played out. And yet he still features them 24/7! BTW, Carolyn's assertion that "GH fans are very upset" about Michael's shooting is misconstrued. It's not the fact that Demon Spawn got hit. It's the fact that Sonny's "lifestyle" (as if he were a vegan or something!) caused his coma. But Sonny will never change and neither will the status quo on this show. That's why fans are upset.

I never really considered that they probably get a fair amount of mail complaining about their constant presence. He's seems to be saying that these are the characters he loves and he's going to make you feel sorry for them by giving them the greatest pain. Is it working?

But I'm sure somebody somewhere is crying over the pain Midget Dimples is going through. Anybody? Anybody? Edited April 28, 200817 yr by Cat
April 28, 200817 yr Member Thanks for sharing Toups My frustration with Guza and Frons continues. I guess Disney knows what it's doing by keeping these two on the pay roll My BP is going up just thinking about these two hacks still having a job, after all of these years. The SOB's at Disney need to get rid of these AH!
