Members NYC123
Days of Our Lives and All My Children are in hot water with the Writers Guild for barring certain scribes from returning to work after the strike and keeping their scab replacements. Not OK, says the union. But let's not get hasty here! Days went from tedious to terrific when the strike material started airing, and AMC has been slowly, surely recapturing its glory days. (Love that Sugar and Erica!) The dumped writers should of course be paid off per their contracts. But rehired after doing a crap job? No way! — Michael Logan http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TV...-Dont/800037989
Members brimike
Oh, come on, Logan. He should know better... this isn't about quality, it's about breaking union law. Nobody gets a free pass just because their work was more well-received by the fans. It's not about who the better writer is. Why do so many people have such a hard time grasping this? Members dragonflies
Honestly Logan needs a frosty mug of STFU, I'm sick of his constant ass kissing
Members Kubla Khan
Logan makes it sound like the whole AMC team was dumped during the strike. Not so - only Stephen Demorest didn't come back post-strike. Jeez.
Members Southofnowhere
AMC was written by B&E before during and after the strike so what is this gut talking about! Has he ever said a bad word about the soaps anyway. He's jsut like the soap mags follow the company line so the soaps stay on the air and he has a job. Members Jess
Yep, I agree. It is totally about break union laws, and in turn aiding those who want to break the union.
