Days:- Why did the writers make Jennifer so Boring?

I have always been thinking about why, when Melissa Reeves returned her character Jennifer Horton Deveraux was made into the show bore, she was so boring any other character where funnier than here, why didn`t they write something fun or exiting for her, her mother Laura where always a little bit weird, a little bit psycho off again, why coudn`t they do the same thing with Jennifer?, anyone knows what the writers where doing with Melissa Reeves and her character Jennifer?..........

IA. I couldnt stand her when she returned. They made her into such a whiny biyatch and hated how she treated Jack and it was ridiculious to have 3 men panting after her bc she wasnt all that. Once she did get with Jack, they were just plain boring

Jennifer was never boring to me! And I absolutely loved her with Jack. Again another great supercouple! I do think that the writers did not really know how to write for them. They shold have been doing some sleuthing and solving mysteries and reporting. They could have been used for that whole Dimera-Brady feud too, investigating it filled with alot of danger and being nearly killed. I could go on and on. But they were awesome and Jennifer Horton Devereaux, who I think that the show could use or at least their daugther, Abby, needs to come back too.

I actually do think Abby is needed. But not jack or jen, and esp them as a couple.
