When is Peter Reckell's contract up? I just need this for my own selfish purpose. If I lose, I have to buy my friends dinner at a restaurant. If I win, I'm going tanning and I'm getting a massage.

I don't understand why Max is sabotaging Nick. What's his motivation? Where is this coming from?

So Dr. Jonas doesn't tell anyone about this procedure because it was too dangerous but when Lexie/Kayla find out about it, he decides to do it? What a freakin waste of time! And if they can't diagnose what Bo's illness it, how can they know how to help Bo?

Today we first saw Paul Hollingsworth (great casting choice here, I like Linden Ashby), but he doesn't have an accent like his daughter Morgan? Maybe Paul moved all over the country while Morgan stayed at home and that's why she has an accent while he doesn't?

I'm very confused on these topics.

Also, they ended Wednesday's show the exact same way they ended Tuesday's show - Hope laying beside Bo. I hate when that happens.

Again, Max and Stephanie were talking to each other like they weren't part of THE SAME FAMILY.

Max: "My family can't catch a break."

Steph: "I'm sorry."

Next scene:

Max: "So what's wrong with your family."

COME ON NOW!!!!!!!!

Yup, I'm complaint central over here. LOL :D

I dont know the first one, but i hope to find out. I do like that right now we do not know. I dont mind that as long as we find out down the line what the reason is. I am loving Max right now tho.

Yes i agree. However as far as for the reason it happened, that doesnt bother me at all. That happens a lot. People get something major all the time and the dr's have no idea why or what the reason is. it still needs to be treated tho.

I hope for a hostile relationship between them. Give Morgan some layers and depth.

Toups, I agree completely with your post. This show is frustrating me right now. Same conversations day after day, the stories aren't going anywhere, and we're seeing way too much of Stephanie and Max, who IMO are the weakest links on the show.

I just finished Tuesday's show.

One thing that I think the show is beginning to do better is dropping hints about future storylines in the middle of current ones. For example, when we learned of Bo's illness before the plane crash or the priming for the Jawn/Dimera v. Kiriakis showdown in the midst of Bo's illness storyline. Hogan's weakness (for whatever reason) was the whipflash that we seemed to get with changes in storylines.

Nice to see Philip's conversation with Bo. The little moment in the chapel at the end when Belle turns and Philip's has this very lonely look was very good. It is good to see that reminder of their relationship being acknowledged in a tasteful way. And, boy, did it make me really want a good romance for Philip. He really deserves it.

Victor totally rocked. I loved the way he talked down John, his total desperation to help Bo and the sweet moment when he walked in to the chapel with Chelsea with his arm around her. I think the Kiriakis v. Jawn/Dimera business war will be interesting and can bring a lot characters into play ( I bet Max will be involved also). But I was happy to hear about it because I am really going to enjoy that we will continue to get Victor on our screens more.

Kristian is doing such a great job showing Hope's strength and despair. Peter is also doing a great job showing his acting chops, especially when you think about how little movement and variation options he has.

As for not knowing what caused the pancreas shut down, I don't see that as lazy writing. If they really wanted to come up with something, they could just stick to the motorcycle accident theory and work off of that.

As for realism, it is probably more realistic than people want to think about that major and horrible conditions don't always get diagnosed. I had an uncle who out of the blue one day just fell down and died when he was 50 years old. Even after an autopsy, they were never able to determine what caused his death.

For some reason, I don't seem to be feeling the storyline stalls to the same degree that some others feel. A stall is what happened in the Spring of 2007, IMO. Even if people wanted Bo's illness and hospital stay to be less than 2 weeks, I still see a lot of other future storylines being set up. Last year, we had *nothing* else going on other than the 3 main storylines which primarily isolated characters and did not have many other major characters involved.

Okay so Chelsea gets drunk (Kate's sitting there letting her?) when she knows that she could be a match as a donor?? It makes no sense at all for Chelsea to get drunk.

The doctors didn't want, at first, to reveal the name of the donor because they have to inform the donor first? That happens in real life? They sure wasted time because you would think they'd want to tell the people who might know where to find her - her family!!

Yesterday, Ava doesn't believe Eddie when he tells her that the "blonde woman" is Patch's wife, yet Ava still thinks it's Hope because of a the way Hope/Steve were hugging??:unsure:

LOL And also because Hope is the one who looks most like her or seems to be most like her (Ava). I also suppose Ava is sticking to her theory because Hope said she loved Steve. Ava does not seem like the type who might understand that platonic type of love.

^i agree, however MUCH worse has happened on days (coughJERSHITcough)

As for the doner thing, that does happen in real life... but wtf? they ntell everyone bo is sick before bo but wont tell chelsea's family shes a match so they can go get her? whatever.

and as for chelsea getting drunk, i so buy it. she is 21ish yearsold and has had a damn hard life in recent years. i dont even think shes thinking about being a match for bo. shes thinking about herself, her pain, how this related to her. shes being selfish. shes being like she was before. and i dont see anything wrong with that. even when people mature and grow they do sometimes fall back and hit the bottom again before relizing what they are doing.

I don't buy the timing and reason though. She knows that she could be a match. Today she was whining how it's taking forever to find a donor but it's only been less than 24 hours since everyone got tested.

It would make more sense if they couldn't find a donor and then she started to drink.

^I agree, but from her view... idk. i guess i could see myself doing the same.

i will say this, wtf? kim is being tested in la, but not sami and roman in salem? okay...

however, i do give them credit for bringing up philip only having one leg. i dont really know why, but good nod to recent history none the less.

date: Tuesday, May 13 | Sara A. Bibel, Jazmen Darnell Brown | Anthony Pascarelli So Deadbeat's secret has to do with a car accident? At least Nicole is getting dressed. That's a sign of good things to come. Eva looks gorgeous in her sparkling pink number. Very age-appropriate and fashionable. So, Douglas is back to his gambling addictions and lying to Vanessa, and here comes Joey, ready to fully cash in on the debt owed to him. Jan, you look gullible, but do not let Dana continue to trick you into believing her sob story, because it's just that: a story. If you're going to eavesdrop on someone, maybe do not make it so apparent (i.e., the new character: Kenny). But at least Deadbeat isn't running for president anymore. That's a sigh of relief. Anastasia, the town gossip, is a mood. Hoping she's an occasional guest when things need to be spiced up a bit. So, Deadbeat is no hero? This is alluding to this big, bad secret that's being harboured. Interesting. "You is kind, you is smart, you is important." We love historical references, this time to The Help. Oh, the showdown face; Nicole's slight eyebrow lift at the sight of Ted and Eva. If Vanessa knew she'd be showing up with Dani, then she really should have given them a heads up about who was at the country club. Not Derek just throwing his nasty, dirty shirt on the ground. I would be completely pissed off... and I guarantee he's using all of the steamy hot water, and I would absolutely off him. He and his ugly-ass chair would be out of the home. Oh, so everyone knows about Anastasia, and I do adore her. She gives me Leanna Love from Y&R, but even juicier. Eva, don't beg Dana for forgiveness; she manipulated you most of all... and you deserve better. So Anatasia wants lip filler? Or is she hinting at something else...? Well, well, well... Joey's true colours are finally coming out, and not going to lie... I believe him. Dana putting on a show that makes her look even more psychotic than she actually is. Dougie boy, do not sell out Vanessa and her business. The anvils dropping about Dana's future in Fairmont Crest keep coming out more and more. Months to build debt and one week to pay it off? Sounds about right to me. Notes: Karla Mosley (Dani) was right during the premiere week: Dani would be leveled out, and these last few episodes have showcased that. It's nice seeing Mosley showcase some good range and the capability of everyday range, as well. Jon Lindstrom (Joey) is showing what a capable actor he is; GH only barely tapped into that during the long-winded, dragged-out Kevin Chamberlain revisit. Ambyr Michelle (Eva) continues to be the undisputed standout amongst the cast. She's going places. Brandon Claybon (Martin) and Ben Gavin (Derek) continue to be standouts in the most needing of being recast, immediately. We've now got a second year under our belt, so now is the time to tweak the casting on both roles. Although Derek could easily be written out via a fire or emergency via his job.
    • Typo as I am referring to Dani alone.
    • She's jealous and resentful that Bill didnt fight for her the way Ted is for Nicole
    • Trisha makes it so hard to hate Leslie. Missy is just getting started to unravel. Can not wait.
    • CharacterS, plural. Who besides Dani are you speaking of here? Just curious. Of course, could be the s is a typo.
    • Very happy we got Mona's reactions yesterday and now Jan's today.  I'm so happy they aren't forgetting these minor characters.
    • Some of this is just YMMV. For example, I couldn't be more positive about Dani. I believe she has avid fans like me, people like you who do not appreciate her & probably most people in the middle for varying reasons. I see a lot of people liking her BUT feeling she is one step forward & then two back.  And, then I am not as enamored of Leslie/Dana/Sheila/Sherry/Anna/Etc. as some are.  I think it's a good thing that there's a variety of opinions on specific characters! I picture this Venn diagram of us where as a whole we REALLY LIKE THE SHOW but like soap fans we don't agree about specifics. OH! I had an amazing encounter yesterday - a soap opera fan who hates the show. Turned out she was as racist as could be. UGH.  Otherwise, I loved the reveal & last Thursday & yesterday. Specifically yesterday I loved Dani, Anita, Nicole &  Mona.
    • Now Vernon feeling bad for Eva too. The Dupree women will NOT be happy with the men in their family
    • Ambyr Michelle continues to win! That scene with Martin was good, and nice to see him be nice to her like that. I'm very curious who the guy is spying on everyone at Orphey's.
