Anybody know what this is about? according to SOD grapevine section there is an audition script out for a character with the name "Grayson". This name was used back in 2002 for a Mike Kasnoff recast. Then in SOW it says almost the same but he around 30ish? I'm confused.

SOD article says "auditions are being held for a 20-something currently named "Grayson". Thats why I was confused 20s or 30s I just wondered who was right.

This is a code-named character. Grayson McCouch, who played Dusty, was just killed off (dumb dumb dumb)... but it sounds like they're using his first name to cover who the character really is.

The "Grayson" script currently being used is an old Mike and Molly script (though they often change) with the names disguised. It COULD be a Mike recast or they could just be looking to cast a "Mike-like" character and therefore are using an old Mike script.

I don't think it is a code name fo Dusty. There is another script out there "Michael" that appeared to be for Dusty and has been out there since shortly before word leaked he was leaving. They decided not to recast however.

This is a different character. The name "Grayson" was used for the Mike recast in 2002, before Grayson was ever on the show. Using the same name and what sounds like the same script it does sound like a Mike recast. It is confusing that the two magazines have different ages, as Mike is definitely in his 30's. Of course it could be with the writer's strike the last thing they wanted to worry about was a script for a casting call and are just using a Mike script but it isn't even Mike.

No no, I didn't say it was a Dusty recast. Someone probably got the bright idea to name the character Grayson when it's really Mike, or Andy, or someone like that. :)

I have heard rumors of an Andy return. :) Hopefully, Scott DeFreitas returns.

If not, I won't be happy. <_<

It won't be Scott. He is too busy doing other things. I dont think he is interested anymore.

What other things is he doing?!

If he had been asked long time ago he probably would have done it. Now I think he is done with daytime. I dont blame him after the way he was treated.

^^Yeah, but that's what was said about Bryce because of his behind-the-scenes projects prior to coming to ATWT.
