Barack Obama Elected President!

That was a very interesting article. I still have serious reservations about the people Obama has running his campaign. They just don't seem capable of dealing with problems. I do think the race is tightening. When you look at polls, McCain really did not get any bigger bounce out of his convention than Obama got out of his. However, Obama's campaign just seems a little slow to respond.

When Obama said he didn't have anyone doing opposition research on Palin, I thought why not? Does anyone believe that the Republicans don't do opposition research? Come on.

Ignoring Palin's views on the bridge to nowhere....

Ted Stevens, who was the father of that, is basically neck and neck with his opponent again. He's also in some legal trouble with making false statements to the senate. He's such a proponent of "pork-barrel" spending....and he could win again.....that's insane. Although I guess it's just Alaska that's voting for him and they like getting all the money they don't need.

This post is another example of an uncalled for remark. Let me know if I have said something to you to deserve that..

There is a big difference in disagreement and rudeness. When someone says I make snide remarks, I take it personally. When someone tells me to educate myself, I take it personally. When someone jokes about Republicans being Nazis, I take it personally. When some says I play martyr, I take it personally. Please let me know when and where I have posted something that has constituted all of these personal comments.

Is it too hard to argue the issues with me?

Look, its obvious that I am the minority here. I am one of very few that have put my views out here. I've tried to lend respect to those that disagree with me.

Is it too much to ask to be respected in return? That's all I am asking for.

With that being said..I love to be the thorn of logic in your side! :P

(to every pro-Obama poster) You guys throw more out there trashing McCain/Palin than you do in support of Obama. Everyone knows your not going to vote for McCain, so why not give those that are undecided more reasons to vote for your guy..But if not...I will continue to defend my candidates and be the brunt of rude remarks.

I dont see how you can blame those that run his campaign solely for the last couple of weeks. There has been a number of issues that has lead to the McCain surge.

1. Obama not picking Hillary

2. Snooze factor of Joe Biden

3. Obama's stances/flip-flops are becoming known (through his convention)

4. McCain's stances are becoming known (through his convention)

5. McCain's pick of Palin

6. Attacks on Palin

etc...

What polls are you looking at? All the polls that I have seen, had McCain substantially behind and now ahead. Much bigger bump for McCain.

No opposition research? Who sent the 30+ investigators to Alaska to dig up dirt? I thought it was the Obama camp. If not, I guess the DNC sent them out.

Democrats Have “Air Dropped a Mini-Army” of 30 Investigators into Alaska to Dig Up Dirt on Sarah Palin

3. Well since Obama got a bump after his convention, I don't see how you could contribute a McCain bounce to that.... McCain got a bump after Obama got a bump for the same thing...that would mean that both sides gained independents.

2. Comparing Biden to Palin...yes. But I don't think Biden is any more boring than McCain.

It scares me that she didn't know what the Bush Doctrine was.

I also heard that Palin requested 3 billion dollars to do a study on themating rituals of fish? I know I have that mixed up, so if someone can clear that up, that would be great.

(Sounded like the boss from Office Space :P ).

Not sure if this is has been said in here or not, I have gone back and looked but forgive me if I have missed it.

Todd Palin and 12 other staffers in the Alaskan Governors office were subpeoned today about SP misuse of power. It's been claimed that she fired the commissoner because he wouldn't fire her former brother in law and the people that were subpeoned today heard her discuss it. She wants it brought to a special three person council to hear the case, which is appointed by the governor herself.

I really do think that Obama needs to stop campaigning against Palin and focus more of his effort on McCain. He is running for President against McCain, not Palin. Personally, I think Biden's record speaks for itself. If Obama is elected, Hillary will have a very nice cabinet seat with her name on it. She doesn't need to be vice President, she has already run the White House for 8 years.

Top 5 reasons to vote for Barry Obama..

5) I've never taken an economics course. For that matter, I've never understood budgeting or finance. I'm told we need to tax those nasty big businesses and I couldn't agree more. Clearly that won't affect me at all... I don't buy anything from big business (like gas) or work for a big business. Same thing with raising the cap on Social Security withholdings. I mean, if we take an additional 7% of peoples' pay over $102,000, they will probably continue to spend the same amount in real dollars after the increase than they did before the increase. They'll just save less, and what could possibly be wrong with that, right???

4) When I lose my Auto / Textile / Furniture / Steel job, I want a candidate to come in and tell me that he's going to bring my uncompetitive job back into an uncompetitive market and make me feel safe again (despite the sheer absurdity of that argument), instead of having a candidate who will be level with me and say "that job is probably gone for good. Let's find something else for you to do."

3) I think that the U.S. Government is the most efficient vehicle for taking care of our uninsured. Government bureaucracies have clearly demonstrated their effectiveness in the past on Social Security and all sorts of other GSA programs. Sure, if you're one of those guys who doesn't have insurance (like me), you probably want big brother looking out for you, too. I grew up in Detroit before moving to New York and I remember how well regarded the Canadian universal healthcare system was. (Actually, I remember the Detroit hospitals having a HUGE percentage of Canadian patients, even despite the $0.70 exchange rate, which is what is was when I moved. I can't imagine how many there are now...)

2) We need to appease the international community by electing a guy who really wants to open the doors for negotiations with countries who want to destroy us for who we are. For example... IRAN!!! You know who (Ahmadinejad) has just been approached the wrong way, which is what makes him want to kill us all. We just need to elect someone who wants to talk to and placate that lunatic so he can understand the virtues of the American lifestyle. After Ahmadinejad or Kim Jung Il see how wonderful quasi-capitalism is [which is what it will be after a year or two of Obama's presidency], they will no longer disagree with us and we can begin the lucrative free trade to those countries. Of course, we may lose the trade of every other country that realizes that these people are loonies, but who needs to trade with Britian or Germany anyhow.

And number one:

1) I think that change for the sake of change is a valid enough reason to vote for a candidate. I don't know what's so different about what he's saying than what Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have been spitting out for the last two years, but it says "change" ALL OVER those pretty little blue signs I see behind Obama when he speaks, so there must be an element of change here, right??? Good enough for me!!! Give me "Barry"!!!

Ask a Barry supporter to tell you three differences in the platforms of Obama and McCain [of course there are many, but most people cannot list more than one], and I'm sure you'll get an informed answer. Take a poll next time your in Madison Square Park or (better yet) Union Square Park. It could make your afternoon!!!

OMG your signature!

Barack Obama=Jesus

Sarah Palin=Pontius Pilate....

Got to love Susan Sarandon! She is the epitamy of the angry left!

BTW, I have asked others here the same question (with no answer)

What exactly is a community organizer? I'm especially confused now to learn that Jesus would fall into the category..

Their conventions were literally back to back. That has only happened three other times in history. So the conventional thought behind the "bumps" are different in this election.

McCain had a much bigger bump. He rallied many more independents than Obama. I can post some independent polls here if you would like. (so I'm not accused of having little substance)...

Casey is there a reason you think I was speaking of you? The only possible reason you could think that is because perhaps you cry every time someone disagrees with you and yell unfair, or perhaps because you threaten to quit posting once a day because your feelings get hurt (of course you never follow through and generally come back within the hour or day at the most) or perhaps because you post more about imaginary slights than you do about the topic. I can not think of any other reason you would assume that post referred to you.
