Why is Lou Dobbs downing Matt Damon? "He doesn't have political experience." Where the f*** is your experience Lou? I forgot you where the king of.........nowhere.

Anybody and their mother could make these videos. It's just that nobody pays attention to any of them unless they're celebrities.

And about the book banning thing. Yes, we know, she didn't actually ban books. No there wasn't a list of books. But here's the thing, just the idea that somebody uttered the phrase, banning books, in the year 2008, is insane to me.

Am I correct in saying that she considered banning a book, and actually wanted to fire the librarian for not doing so?

Just what we need. She's interested in World War Three is she?

Nucular War will be different. Won't be no veterans when it's over.

A old Redd Foxx joke. :P

From what I've heard/read, she just asked how to go about banning books and then that she made a comment about the librarian's future. Whether or not those events are connected, I don't know.

A majority of voters, 60 percent, think that Biden is qualified to be president, while 31 percent think he is not.

Whether or not you agree with his policies, I don't see why he couldn't run the country.

Palin Drops "Bridge To Nowhere" Remark.

Maybe she figured that the Alaskans would actually know better so why tell that lie to them?

So Charles Gibson had to tell her what the Bush Doctrine is.....too bad he won't tell her the definition of a lie. I guess I'm surprised that he didn't do the whole puff and fluff thing with her but he's super duper lite compared to what she probably would have gotten from Katie Couric.

She didn't know what the Bush Doctrine was?

After two weeks of prep? Did she say anything about Alaska being close to Russia?

I think at some point it is fair to make the statement that if she is offended by comments like these, then she isn't up to the job that she is applying for. There really is an expectation that she be accountable to the public and not just stand up, say a few words and then go hide.

They could send the action figure replicas of her out.....just program them to say they were against the bridge to nowhere.

It's a good thing they have a woman moderating the vice presidential debates so that they can bypass that sexism complaint....if it doesn't go their way they can launch an ideological charge but any sexism charge will have to be leveled at Joe Biden who might get dinged if he shakes her hand the wrong way or looks at her the wrong way.

I don't know why anyone should fuss over McCain taking up the change mantile or even dubbing him and sidekick as the original mavericks. They've given maverick a whole new meaning that I don't really think carries much weight and McCain doesn't look like an agent of change.

I don't know. I didn't watch it and I don't plan to. I read a partial transcript:

Palin asked about the Bush Doctrine... She doesn't know:

GIBSON: Do you agree with the Bush doctrine? PALIN: In what respect, Charlie? GIBSON: The Bush -- well, what do you -- what do you interpret it to be? PALIN: His world view. GIBSON: No, the Bush doctrine, enunciated September 2002, before the Iraq war. PALIN: I believe that what President Bush has attempted to do is rid this world of Islamic extremism, terrorists who are hell bent on destroying our nation. There have been blunders along the way, though. There have been mistakes made. And with new leadership, and that's the beauty of American elections, of course, and democracy, is with new leadership comes opportunity to do things better. GIBSON: The Bush doctrine, as I understand it, is that we have the right of anticipatory self-defense, that we have the right to a preemptive strike against any other country that we think is going to attack us. Do you agree with that?

PALIN: Charlie, if there is legitimate and enough intelligence that tells us that a strike is imminent against American people, we have every right to defend our country. In fact, the president has the obligation, the duty to defend.

She did not know what the Bush Doctrine was. The worst thing about that, in my opinion, is that she tried to bluff her way out of it.

She did say that she knew a lot about Russia because Russia was a neighbor to Alaska. She said she could look out and see Russia.

You would think with her being a female version of George W. Bush (and 4 more years of the same) that she would know the Bush Doctrine word for word!
