Which, sort of, goes to say - Carolyn is an awful editor. (The criterion used: same R Sinclair's one for Jeff Beldner.)

Those scripts are an insult to person's intelligence.

EDIT: Oh, brimike, just wrote it!

Well, it doesn't help that Carolyn is surrounded by extremely craptacular scriptwriters. No one can spin a lot of that crappy dialogue into gold.

Carolyn's one of the very few writers that's worked in every position, I believe. I heard she started off as Rauch's secretary or something at AW, but I was looking at a GL end credits clip from 1980, and she was listed as Douglass Marland's assistant.

B&B:

- Shannon Bradley first listed as Script Writer on August 26

Toupsy:

Is Swajeski now listed with teh script writers or is she gone?

She hasn't been listed, but I don't think she's gone.

That's why OLTL desperately needs Elizabeth Korte!

Ugh, I have a love/hate thing with Korte, I think she needs to be demoted. I thought Michele Val Jean was a much better script editor, and I do believe Michele's the best writer on the GH team, at least IMO.

Michele edited from 93-95 (she also wrote scrips), and even though GH still has the best dialogue to this day, I thought it was a lot sharper in the mid 90's.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Can't really tell.

Depends — good thing for us fans of good dialogue, baaaaad thing for scriptwriters whose scripts she edits.

I agree that Val Jean would do a better job. But since they will probably never promote her...

Alvin, what was the writing staff like from 90-95?

Wait — this is all wrong:

General Hospital

- Script Writer (1993-1996; 2002 - December 21, 2007; April 7, 2008 - Present)

- Co-Head Writer (January 2001 - April 2001)

- Associate Head Writer & Occasional Script Writer (1996 - 2000)

Those are Michele's GH credits. I don't see her being SE.

I meant 93-95, Michele was Labine's script editor. I started watching GH somewhere in 93, so I watched the entire Labine era, thus Michele's entire tenure as script editor. Labine didn't have a big staff, and out of those writers, only Val Jean, Harris, and Korte remain on the show today.

As mentioned millions of times, GH does have the best scriptwriters. However, if I had to choose my favourite, it would be Val Jean. More than often, I find myself liking her scripts the best, and it's a shame she'll never be allowed to HW that show again.

I could've sworn she edited in the mid 90's.

Korte was always Guza's SE, she held that role when Guza first came to the show in 96 and has it now.

Michele was Script Editor. I just didn't edited it in, but I'll make a note of it so next time I edit her profile, I'll include her SE position.

No one said she wasn't — all we said is your database is faulty. :P;)

BTW, where is 1994? :D
