I saw the show five or six times since it opened on Broadway, and I am so excited to see the big screen version on Wednesday.

Anyone else going to catch it when it opens?

Just saw it. It was about 57 varieties of awesome. The new girl they got for Joanne is absolutely unbelievable! I am crazy over her now!

Again, nothing to compare her to, but yeah, Joanne was great! As was Rosario Dawson as Mimi!

But Joanne's portrayer was in Rent, right? Just not in the original cast?

Joanne and Mimi weren't in the original nor any broadway cast since the show opened, which makes it that much more amazing that they did so well.

I loved this movie so much. My favorites were Jesse Martin and Idina Menzel. They rocked beyond words.

Great movie!!! loved it!! My favorite character is Moureen!!! I love that song she and Joanne sang!!! "Take me for what I am"!!!

Was a big fan of the stage show and saw it three times.

They cut out my favourite song from the movie. I was bitter.

But it was still good.

I kept thinking about George Huff from American Idol every time I saw Jesse L. Martin.

I saw the movie a few nights ago and loved it!!! I was really impressed by Rosario Dawson. The rest of the cast was also first rate!!

Going to go see it this week or weekend.
