I just don't get why actors say something that's not really the case, seen it before as well (example: Ali Sweeney said in an interview that Sami cheated on Lucas when she was raped by E.J. )

Luke didn't push Lily down the stairs. She fell while they were fighting. It wasn't like he wanted her to fall. Otherwise it was a nice interview.
