This vendetta storyline is turning out to be a huge bust, if you ask me. All it's been since the letters started is a way of pimping out E.Jami. I know they have their fans, but it's not gonna work with me. At this point, I could give a rat's ass about Lucas, Sami, and E.J. I wanna know where John, Marlena, Bo and Hope are, and WHY are THEY not the center of this story?

I love how Hogan Sheffer said that he couldn't really write for the vets because of the budget, and now that they're available, he has them sitting around doing squat. Marlena, John, Doug, and Julie are in exactly the same position that Caroline and Maggie have been for years... onlookers, props, only present to say exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. (Happened with Ross on GL, too. Look where that ended up.)

I see EJ and Sami reading the letters as logical since both look like their ancestors. It was a huge piece of the story that was ignored and had potential for improving the story. Instead, up till this preview, EJ wasn't reading the letters at all and neither he nor Sami realized the other had even seen the pictures. None of this made any sense - as in if they're going to tell a story, tell it right and yes that means including the characters involved.

IF Colleen was being portrayed by say Dee; and Santo by Drrake; then Marlena and John should have both seen the pictures and read the letters. BUT Santo and Colleen are not portrayed by Drake or Dee, so at this point, while the story involves them to a point (in ending the vendetta), they're not the focus - and there's no reason the two characters who look like their ancestors should have been shut out of any of it.

It's not a matter of getting ticked off that the vets are being used as props. I don't like that and feel they should have had their own storylines. But to tell a freaking story, it's logical to make it significant, intensify it and tell it right. For me, it's not been told "right" mainly because of the Sami / EJ factor.

But that's not even the point. Just having Ali and James play these two characters that had this epic romance in the past is what I consider to be the E.Jami propping. I don't care if they're reading the letters or not.

I agree with you on that, but since they are I'd like to see it written as good as possible. I don't think it's EJami propping as much as someone at Days thinking (or maybe hoping) that EJami fans would be satisfied with this and not want Sami and EJ together. Not much realism there, so, yes they probably should have used different characters. Then again there aren't too many options when it comes to a DiMera man and a Brady woman... And I think JS and AS are doing a wonderful job.

I hear that Jett gets fired from his job. Whether it's from the CIA altogether or just from tracking Jeremy, I don't know. Hope he has to leave the states to find another job LOL.

Wonder who the guy in the Panama hat is. Since it's spelled out a "Panama" hat instead of brimmed hat or just hat, I suppose he will be Hispanic and looking for his kids....hopefully.

Why is Hogan going back with Stephanie and Max? He squashed that once and now here we are again.

I just learned that my hubby and I are fourth cousins. We share great-great-great grandparents and I have to tell you, I'm feeling a bit misplaced and weird about this. It means that his family are my relatives as well as all mine are his. Now, I'm not only mother to my son, but I'm his fourth cousin once removed and my granddaughter and grandson are my fourth cousins twice removed....same on his side. He is their fourth cousin once removed etc. Sorting all this out is just weird. LOL, I tell him that Henry and Eleanor just wanted to live out their lives through us again.

I don't understand Max and Stephanie Part 2, either. I mean, are they really THAT desperate to find something for Max to do? At this point, I'm thinking it would be better just to write him off the show altogether if this is the best they can come up with.

The vendetta story is definitely filler for me. It bothers me that John & Marlena are not wrapped up in this, as they have so much history with Stefano! He was obsessed with her for a long while, yet they barely get scenes with him. Now, I admit I am an EJami fan, but they should have their own story apart from being the focus of the vendetta. These friggin' letters are not gonna make me want EJami even more, it's just gonna make me hate them because they're boring me to tears. In any case, ok previews I guess.
