What are the odds of this happening (them getting their act together)??

I mean seriously watching the show gives me one heck of a headache and that's something it didn't do before. It's like getting whiplash from the scenes changing so fast, characters changing personalities on a dime, and trying to figure out what's going on (when they stop letting us see) and what's going on in general.

Is Days trying to do itself in before '09? That's the impression I'm getting, and I don't know if it's because it doesn't feel like they have a clue what they're doing or because I see them destroying the positive things/characters regarding the show.

Where are the DiMeras? Where's Anna? What are they doing to EJ? Does Sheffer know what romance is? Are they willing to turn the show into a parody of itself because of hateful fanbases? Where is the Days I've loved all these years??

First off, why would it even be necessary to show the scenes of Nick marrying China Lee or Bo being slashed by the knife? Those things were meant to be shocking. They weren't meant to be displayed right in front of everyone. Think back to Theresa and Julian's "wedding" on Passions. We only saw that through flashbacks after the fact yet no one complained about that because it was played as a shocking story, much like the Nick/China Lee story. I am with everyone on certain scenes being skipped over but the scenes in question today are not a part of that. It was all meant to be surprising to the audience, especially if they are spoiler free. Seeing everything would ruin the excitement of it all. Yes, I want to see how we get from one point to the other but when you are having shocking twists you don't always want to show everything. It lacks suspense and ends up with no reaction. Besides, Peter could no way do that scene. What would happen if he fell or if something went wrong? It was clear his injury affected most of this Ireland adventure.

Now...today was good. The baby story is the best story this year IMO. The writing is stellar and we are getting good emotional material. Steve is so cute with "Pocket" and Kayla is being played perfectly in this position by MBE. SN and her are just great and Shelly Hennig proved today again why she is a find. She showed her range today and her connection with SN was evident. Good scenes and I was happy they went into Stephanie's feelings a bit.

Who knew Jeremy and Stephanie and the rest of the "Touch the Sky" crew would get so interesting? Stephanie has been much better and Trevor is making Jeremy tolerable. I liked bringing Andre and the Dimera's in. It fits with how "Tony owned a strip club in 2003 under Higley and since that was Andre, this whole scheme goes along with that. I just love Max seeing Max so involved in this. I am into this story now.

China Lee rocks. Chelsea and Nick are themselves again and loved Nick standing up for himself, along with Chelsea being proud of him.

Bo/Hope/Andre was intense and very good. We need more of this.

Days has had a more "together" feel to it this month. The balance is alot better too. I wonder if we are seeing changes already.

I love China Lee. I am really over the Chelsea/Nick coupling. And I like the China Lee/Jett foils. Nick is the most inconsistant written character on Days. I really like Days right now. I think Hogan is a good writer for this show. It still hasn't peaked to his golden days at ATWT. I hope he reaches that milestone.
