I know that John Loprieno returning to OLTL for the 10,000th episode is old news, but I ran across this little interview with him and thought it was interesting, and that I would share it with everyone...

College instructor revisits daytime soap

Moorpark College theater arts instructor John Loprieno will reprise his role of Cord Roberts on the ABC-Disney's daytime drama "One Life to Live" 10,000th episode scheduled to air on ABC-TV Thurs. and Fri., Aug. 16 and 17.

Loprieno originally played the role of Cord Roberts from 1985 to 1997 and also worked as a staff writer from 2004 to 2006. The writing staff was nominated for a daytime Emmy in 2006.

"I'm really looking forward to bringing Cord back to Llanview," said Loprieno. "It's like putting on an old pair of well-loved jeans. I can't wait to see what they'll have Cord getting into this time."

The last time Cord Roberts returned to "OLTL" for a brief appearance was in 2004.

For the past year, Loprieno has been teaching full-time at Moorpark College, where he also directed "JB" by Archibald MacLeish. This summer he is teaching online and directing the comedy "Scapino!" which will run July 19 through Aug. 5.
