Members sheilaforever
Ratings firm Eurodata TV Worldwide released new data at the Monte Carlo TV Festival last night branding three US shows: 'CSI,' 'Desperate Housewives' and 'The Bold and the Beautiful' world's top television programs. "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," about a team of forensic experts in Las Vegas, drew 79.9 million viewers, beating out previous title holder, sequel show "CSI: Miami" as the most popular TV drama series. In the TV comedy category, the all-female cast of "Desperate Housewives" attracted 70.2 million viewrs, beating "Monk" (U.S.) and "Mr Bean" (Britain). "The Bold and The Beautiful," (show stars Lesley Anne Down and Drew Tyler Bell pictured in the post) with 24.7 million viewers, was the most popular soap, against two Colombian soaps "El Cuerpo des Deseo" and "Pasion de Gavilanes." What a group shot of TV-Stars! LMAO at Prins Break's paedophile/killer T-Bag next to Prince Albert of Monaco....
Members All My Shadows
Wow...Drew Tyler Bell has grown up a little bit since they took him off contract, hasn't he? Congrats to B&B, though. It's nowhere near what it once was (and I can truly say that I remember the glory days of B&B!), but any show that manages to be the world's most-watched soap has to be doing something right... Members sheilaforever
He most definitely has! Drew has also comleted two movies recently to premiere later this year: "Her Best Move" with 'Gilmore Girls' Scott Patterson and "The Dark Is Rising" with Ian McShane, Frances Conroy and Jonathan Jackson... I want Thomas/Drew Tyler Bell back on B&B damn it! Unbelievable that we got Kyle Lowder instead of Drew as the new young show anker. Puuhleeze! This "TV audience award" BTW is a bit sketchy. The numbers seem to vary a lot because of outside influences and them measuring just one single day worldwide. I believe, last year B&B had an estimated number of above 30 million viewers, such a huge drop would make no sense unless the show were cancelled in Italy... LOL! Members All My Shadows
I so agree. They were starting a great thing with Thomas and Amber a few years ago, but then they just dropped it. And then when they had Thomas going to work for Spectra...and then they dropped that. I don't think they've truly given Drew a chance to show what he can do. You look over at the other CBS soaps and you have amazing young actors like Jesse Soffer, Van Hansis, Michael Graziadei, Greg Rikaart, and, hell, even the Emmy-winning Bryton McClure, you have to wonder why B&B is so reluctant to give Drew some serious material. And that [!@#$%^&*] with Gabriela does not count!

Members sheilaforever
Awesome Philou! And isn't Lesley-Anne Down stunning. You got so close with your cam to her and she still looks marvellous. Drew Tyler Bell in tux looks SO right for that new ABC series "Dirty Sexy Money"... I really hope a great career lies ahead for him (if Brad Bell insists on not using him for B&. He's a very talented young man.
Members Faulkner
I wonder what international success does for a show like B&B. Will that help it survive any more than the other soaps on the air? I recall "Santa Barbara" being an international phenom, too, but it didn't help it.
