Days: Sad Francis Reid (Alice Horton) News

It's really sad, and I actually wish they would kill off Alice before Frances passes away. Even though she might not always remember it, she's just such a gift to Daytime and should be able to see her legacy. It'll be sad not to have Alice on again because almost every DAYS viewer has grown up with her in some way.

From what the actors have said, Frances Reid is the exact opposite of Alice Horton. She's a real spitfire and loves four-letter words. And they all love her dearly!

I know I'm always talking about youtube, but I was watching some old clips this past week and miss the days when Alice used to walk into a room and take control over the situation. She was such a powerful force back then. Just think, there would be no supercouples without Alice's intervention -- especially in the case of Bo and Hope!

Deidre Hall said in an interview that the hardest thing she ever had to do was prepare for Marlena's "murdering" Alice. She didn't want to do it, and Frances told her to do it and to give it her all. Dee said that when she saw Frances coming down the hall of the studio that morning, presumably for the last time, using her walker, Dee just lost it. ... Later, when Corday was ready to announce the "new cast" of DAYS and have the former cast members surprise the cast members who were left, Matt Ashford, I think it was, said Frances said to them, "Let's not go out there when he calls us. What's he gonna do, fire us?"

Love her.

Frances seems like such a spitfire. Watching Deidre, Kristian and Missy all tearing up at the SoapTalk Anniversary show though was just so sweet.

Also read that Deidre asked that they not show Alice actually dead (strangled) after Frances told her she had to do it. They showed her leaning over the table. Frances told her to go all out and, of course, Frances knew she would be coming back.

I know this is what Corday said, but didnt Frances said once about the conversation that she was told she was going to be alive "funny,I dont remember such conversation"?

and please,no Faux-Jennifer for the funeral.I have no doubt Missy would return for those episodes.I just wish Days will do it justice, whenever it will happen.
