I went to college in Vermont and its really sad that a suburb of Burlington is one of the biggest citiies. But alas, it just might be true. Barre, which is outside of Montpelier might be bigger. When I was in college we went to visit some friends in Montpelier and it is soooo small. THey had one Stop light and 11 crosswalks. And its the capital.

For New Hampshire, Portsmouth might be bigger than Concord. I could be wrong. Nashua and Manch get a lot of people from Mass. living there

Interesting list

Tishy I know what you mean about Montpelier, but it that's part of its charm I guess - more like a village. The (Green Mountains?) backdrop to the state capitol building is very pretty.

What surprises me is the number of second and third places cities I've never even heard of.

And yeah, I think of Nashua as a suburb of Boston.
