I think that Greenlee is very needed and that recasting her is a good idea. Ryan and Annie, though I like them, are very boring imo.

Well I am very sad she wasn't cast with a vet, but I am glad she is coming back. I hate it is a new face but I am ready for the Greenlee/Kendall stuff to finally play out. It was left hanging when Greenlee left town and I so want to see them go at it.

If they do give her a lot of airtime - at least it will be 3 women the show revolves around and not just 2.

If only the same fate could befall Kendall & Babe too.

I am looking forward to Greenlee's return and hope she will spice things up between Ryan/Annie. Better Greenlee in the mix, which would make sense, than the ridiculous use of Kendall in their storyline to give them some kind of non-existant angst which does not make sense.

Ryan/Annie's chances at success have IMO nothing to do with the Zendall fanbase. If anything, Ryan fans are the ones who need to step up to the plate and support his latest pairing. As a Zendall fan, I'd like nothing better than for Ryannie to be the 2007 breakout couple, LOL.

I am liking Ryan & Annie together too, but the Zendall fanbase hates them so much that I don't see anything ever coming of it. I don't like Ryan that much anymore but am starting to like him again. He has done some bad things, but I can't see all the hate for Annie that I read about.

As a Zen fan I really take offense to that generalization. I for one don't care anything about Ryan and Annie. I'm pretty sure that there are others like me that don't care either way. Maybe you should look towards that other Ryan fanbase for answers as to why Ryannie will never be.

I know that the other fan base hates them too, but my comment was still not a generalization. From reading other boards and now overseeing 2 Rate The Characters games here on SON I have seen the Zendell fans comment about both Ryan & Annie and Ryan/Annie the couple. And looking at the votes the last time and this time in the game I am doing it is the fans who put Zendell at 1 or 1 & 2 who have the most disgust or lowest rankings for Ryan & Annie. It was the same way in the last game for Dixie.

In fact from some of the posts in this game thread and the last and looking at the votes - many Zendell fans don't have any regard for anyone unless they are Zendell propers or within the Zendell love on the show.

Sorry it is not a generalization but supported by fact. I am not saying every Zendell fan is like that but there are a lot out there. And many not just on this board but on other boards too.

The Zendell fanbase is not the only one - other shows have them too. I have no problem with couple fanbases but when they want the whole show to be about their couple and their couple only I do have a problem.

I respect that you are not like that, and appreciate it. But there are many out there who are not.

Just my 2 cents:

I am a big Zen fan but I don't want Zen to be the center of the AMC universe. LOL. I like Di, Aidan, Julia, Jamie, Jonathan, Amanda and really all 6 don't prop Zen or within the Zen storyline but I still like them. Zen is the highlight of AMC for me but I know they aren't the whole show nor do I want them to be.

I liked Ryannie in the beginning but now everything feels rushed between them and that is killing them for me.

I adore Zendall, but I hate Ryannie because Ryan sucks as a rule lately, and because MCE and Cam have zero chemistry, IMO.

IMO, Ryannie is the most contrived offering since Rylee. When Frons pushes and salivates over something as much as he's pushing Ryannie, you'd expect them to have payoff. Instead Ryannie is fizzling because very few fans of AMC in general like them. They don't like them because super sperm daddy and mother earth don't make for much excitement.

I don't want to watch a woman who previously had spunk become Ryan's latest podwife. All she does is exalt him all day long while he compliments her mothering and bedroom skills. Ryannie was interesting for about 10 seconds before it became a pairing designed to make Ryan look like God. As if he needed another prop.

Bring back the real Annie that first graced our screens. She was interesting.

Do they look great together? Yes. Instant family? Yes. Conflict and passion? Nada.

I like to think an AMC fan in general will speak against any pairing with zero chemistry that I feel is being forced down my throat.

Ryannie has needed both Kendall and now Jonathan to make them interesting. If they can't stand on their own and float...must not be the next supercouple.

Now they need Greenlee to add spice. Why can't Ryannie stand on their own?

I am a big Annie fan but not a big RyAnnie fan. I am not sure if I like them yet or not. But many of the things that you say about RyAnnie can be said about Zendell.

I have not seen Zendell be interesting yet - not once. To me the only thing interesting about them has been Erica's hate for them and then Alexander's hate for them together. That is the only 2 times I have cared about watching them.

If I tape the show I always fastforward through any scenes that are just about them. I think they are the most boring couple to ever hit AMC and maybe even daytime. That about as interesting to watch for me as paint drying. And right now so is RyAnnie.

That is one reason I am glad to see Greenlee coming back - maybe she will stir up something for both couples in that she hates Kendall right now and that should be interesting to watch and hopefully she will still want to get even with Ryan too.

I hate Babe with her two men right now too but the saving grace there is that the story is interesting.

Sadly right now AMC is hurting big time with interesting couples. Hopefully that will be something the next writer fixes.
