Please, ya gotta love Kayla's sensitivity and really everything about her -- except her frumpy, tacky wardrobe and F'ed up hair. But that's another story entirely...

Well I am kind of lovin' the hair. No comment on the wardrobe choices except to give the benefit of the doubt that maybe they look good in person and the camera makes them unflatttering. ;)

Speaking of wardrobe and looking back at Thursday's ep - Did anyone notice how EJ's tie matched Sami's shirt? They were both a kind of unique shade of green. Not sure if it was just coincidence by wardrobe or whether they were trying to go for some subtle pairing look in those scenes.

My, what good eyes you have! I didn't realize that about EJami. Oh, how I'd LOVE for them to secretly try to trick us and send subtle messages to get us ready for an EJami pairing. It's my greatest daytime wish. NO FOOLIN'!!!

EJami ALLthe way, guys!

The thing about Max is he is such a one-note character. Here is his history on Days. Chelsea, Stephanie, Mimi. Here is Mimi's grown-up story. Rex, Shawn, Max Both of them went from lover to lover to lover with no real in-between development. Even Mimi had a little tiny tad but Max has had none. We never see Max hanging out with the guys or a guy coming around to shoot the bull with him or doing anything at all to tell us what he is like and what he wants to do or be except drag the first available girl into his sordid little spot of life. He needs a major character development and story to show off just him without any love interest whatsoever and then when everyone feels for Max and wants to be involved with him, bring in a girl he has to work to get (ha). His dumping his bad stuff on Abby just grosses me out. She is a child for crying out loud, not a grown man who could offer some real understanding and help him deal with his feelings and how to work it out.... Being a good looking actor does not automatically say anything good about the character. Look at Brody Hutzler (Patrick Lockhart). He could have been a great character if he had been given development.

Oh I agree that the character needs development. The slut needs to get genital warts or something, as part of his turning point before he can "earn" Abby's love and stop being such a manwhore. :)

Amazing show. Great rebound from yesterday.

Steve was hilarious with the the doctor today. I love the way he took her phone and flirted with her. I remember that actress from Fresh Prince. I like her. I like how Steve called EJ.

Kayla/EJ was great. Fiery Kayla has really become one of the best parts of the show. Loved the little warning EJ gave Kayla. Also like Kayla mentioning the Brady's always triumphing and the reference to John raising Elvis. Glad that was brought up.

Rachel Melvin and Blake Berris were great today. Can't wait for Monday to see this play out. I like the way we saw Nick hint at what it was, Billie come in and give Chelsea more to think about, and then have Chelsea flashback and figure the rest out. I am glad she put it all together and the flashback was used perfectly. That slap was great. Great stuff with this story.

I love me some MABY  . Glad they had Max deal with his past mistakes and regretting how he dumped Chelsea, Stephanie, and Mimi. Great nod to Max's past too. Benson and Brooks rock.

Sami/Celeste was my favorite. I had the same vibe today that I had in 1994 when Marlena double-crossed Marlena. The fact that she interupted sami's conversation with Lucas yesterday as she was about to tell all makes me very suspicious. If Celeste is indeed working for the Dimera's, I would love that. I can see where EJ offered her a deal to protect her daughter and grandson or maybe EJ has Lexie and Celeste knows it and that is why she is secretly helping him. This has setup written all over it and I can see Lucas or Sami being the victim of the setup. Sami out of the picture leaves the child to EJ and Lucas out of the picture leaves Sami and the baby to EJ. I do think this supports the chance that Lexie will be back at some time this year as that could be driving why Celeste is back in league with the Dimera's. She just acted very strange. I loved the nods to Sami's past actions ( to Celeste joking about the DNA test switches) , to Elvis being taken from Susan (glad that was addressed), and the Tony reference came out of nowhere but it worked. I always wanted to know why he had an interest in her and that made total sense. Loved it. I would love for Celeste to be involved with the Dimera's and I can't say that enough. That ending was great. This week gave us a alot of forboding in terms of the Dimera's and EJ's plan. I am excited now. Tanya Boyd is underrated and it's nice to see her doing more then having visions. I like Sami/Celeste scenes.

Great show. This is an episode that Days can use to springboard into next week. This makes me feel better for what is to come. I feel like we are building to something big but it better happen ASAP.

I agree. They would not have to look to far to give some meat to Max's character. For example, they could show how the issues in his childhood affect his ability to commit today. I noticed that Abby did briefly reference his childhood troubles today so maybe they are going to delve into this stuff some more.

But not with a child. It's the blind leading the blind. We have already seen how immature Abby is and her insights although sweet are totally childish. Max needs a mentor. A real man who he can look up to and want to immulate, who will show him the real meaning of life and what it takes to gain satisfaction from living a good life. This is a pitiful way to handle these two young people even though Max is mid-twenties...far too old for Abby right now. If Days wants to make Max a MAN they need to give him a major overhaul.

I did not enjoy Kayla at all today. I thought she was wild and pathetic. This story for Steve and Kayla is really awful. I wondered why no one called security to escort her out. That was a professional office building and disorderly conduct isn't well received at all in those areas. LOL, I also expected EJ to wop her on the bottom like he has been doing all the ladies recently.

No one's disagreeing that Days4Life is brilliant to figure it out -- but Idisagree that Hogan's TWIST would be brilliant or very effective. Who wants to see Sami in jail -- again? We want to see her happy at SOME point in her life!

Sorry, for me, I'd rather have EJ THREATEN to turn her in for trying to kill her -- unless, oh, yes, EJami fans -- UNLESS sh emarries him. And they do.

,, AND !!!

Thanks for calling me brilliant! :D

I don't think Sami necessarily has to go to jail. This is just my idea of how the DiMera plan COULD work. There are several twists and turns the story could easily take, but EJ's statement that Sami would not be raising this baby convinces me he has some plan to get her out of the way/neutralize her. I hope she doesn't go to jail; I hate the falsely imprisoned storylines. As for Sami being happy, I don't think that will ever happen. At least not long term.

Great show today!

Does anyone else feel like EJ totally has everyone right where he wants them? It seems like it is totally hopeless for everyone on the show right now. Sami is going to lose her baby and Lucas. Kayla and Steve are finished, and Steve will always be in the Dimera fold. Shawn and Belle may as well stay on the run because if they come back, EJ will probably have Shawn killed. Well actually, he will probably find them wherever they are at right now. EJ probably has Lexie. Celeste and Willow are probably under his control now too. I just wonder what is going to happen to turn this around. Does anyone think that maybe this is why they have kept John in a coma? I know if John was around things would be totally different. I guess what I'm hoping is that John is back soon, because we need him to kick some Dimera ass!

  • Member

I've been thinking the same thing, Jonphil. John has always been the one to take on the Dimeras so with him in a coma, EJ can pretty much do as he pleases. No one else seems able to stop him. Or wants to stop him. I still am amazed that Billie is so ready to jump into a business relationship with EJ. She really has no judgment when it comes to men! We have a super villain right now, but no comparable character on the "good" side.

Oh, GOD, I agree with you. I don't think Sami will be happy either. I had a poor choice of words there.

No, I just meant I want Sami with EJ -- happy or NOT, lol. They look GREAT together.

I thought EJ would want Lucas out of the way. He surely wouldn't want him there to protect Sami if EJ has killed himself off so to speak by faking his death. He would want Sami very vulnerable.

But Lucas never protects Sami. He has a history of abandoning her whenever he uncovers one of her lies. She even referenced this in their conversation in the church the other day when Lucas was trying to get Sami to tell him what was upsetting her. He promised to love her and stand by her no matter what she had done and (sorry, I don't have the exact quote) she said something like he never does that, whenever he finds out about one of her lies he takes his love away and leaves her. I loved that conversation because she laid out their entire relationship. He was telling her how much she'd changed, and she said "But I haven't changed. I never will." After she told him about taking his love back, he looked a little stunned and said "I never realized I did that". Lucas could be the factor that wrecks EJ's plan, if he actually sticks by Sami this time. Which he should do, if he really, truly loves her. He has to realize that Sami will always have a tendency to lie and scheme and be vindictive when she's crossed. He has to accept those traits along with her good ones and realize that's just who Sami is. And I have to admit I have mixed feelings about this because while I think Sami deserves to have Lucas stand by her and protect her, I don't like them as a couple. I would prefer Sami with EJ, except for the fact that he raped her. I don't see how they could ever redeem him from that--although I know it's been done before (Jack, for example).

I'm confident that Lucas will stand by Sami if and when she tells him about the rape. Yes, he has a history of being quick to judge her and believe others over her but that may well be the point of this story: it gives him a chance to redeem himself. Lucas has seen first hand the violence that EJ is capable of and although there was a time when he was insecure about Sami/EJ, I think he now realises that she is genuinely afraid of him. Even Sami acknowledged in this ep. that his reaction might be different this time: "I mean, half the time I think that he'll believe EJ's version, and the other half, he'll hate himself for what I had to do to save his life." I think the latter is closer to what his reaction will be.

My concern is that by the time this secret does get out, Sami will have gotten herself into a much worse predicament, either by continuing to do EJ's bidding or by taking Celeste's advice and attempting something reckless and stupid to get rid of him. The more deseperate she becomes, the more I see her doing something to endanger her own health or the health of her baby.

Max just needs to take a hike if he can't get more interesting, as far as I'm concerned :P

Commence tomato throwing.
