I love the way Hugo's mom doesn't pronounce the H in front of his name. Ugo! Ugo!

I still don't think they're answering very many questions. Now we know that Daniel has been time travelling, or something, like the eyeliner guy, Richard I think his name is.

I feel like the people on the island will just be running in circles until the 6 decide to come back.

Who is that old lady at the end again? Wasn't she in a story with Desmond?

Why do I have a feeling that ben might not be so bad afterall? It seems like there some kind of society that was formed years ago are reconnecting with ben. An that old woman was in desmonds flashback. Sun is very cold-blooded right now and I like it.

This whole time travelling stuff is very confusing. LOL

I'm starting to get that feeling too. I think the "bad guy" is suppose to be Penny's dad.

An that old woman was in desmonds flashback.

Was she? I don't remember her. What's her significance?

Sun is very cold-blooded right now and I like it.

I like it too. Badass Sun rocks.

Back from Season 3. Went back and looked eariler today. It's from the episode where Desmond keeps saving Charlie's life.

Anyway about that lady, Desmond tried to buy Penny a ring from her but she wouldn't let him. She knew his future, all about his stuff on the island. And she said if he didn't do all the island stuff, everybody would die. She pointed out that man wearing red shoes and then he died.

So I guess between locke and desmond, and to a lesser extent ben they are there only real hopes of getting the others to return to the island to save the others. Ben lies so damn much, I just wouldn't trust him. I think when ben moved the island it left a 70 hour window for the people who left to return, if they don't return everyone on the island will die from their own memories one by one with the red-haired chick whose nose was bleeding being the first to go. I also want to know if this is Whitmore's opportunity to return, he probably could if he returned with the 6 that left. I really hope they don't make us wait to find out who that gray haired woman is and the woman that worked in the butcher shop.

ABC says 20 million caught premiere. I see it says 11 is the average on here. I'm really suprised it's that low.

11 million is about the average of season 4.

Serialized shows, especially confusing ones like Lost, don't really well in their later years. But the good thing is we don't have to worry about ratings because we already have an end date.

I'm really confused about where abc is getting 20 million from, from all the places I read it was more like 11 million.

I can understand the confusing part. And this past season definitely had its weird parts. But I would've thought there would be a at least a little spike just for the season premiere. If the premiere only gets the average of last season, it seems to me to indicate the season will automatically be lower. And it seems like they promoted the heck out of it.

Charles Widmore was on the island. :o So that's how he knows about the island!

Awww....Desmond named his baby after Charlie. That was a nice touch.

Henry Ian Cusick and Sonya Walger are always so good in scenes together. They way they look at each other.......I just love Desmond/Penny! :)

I think at some point, 20 million people were watching, but we only see numbers for the hour average.

Yup, that seems to be the trend.

I absolutely love desmond/penny, desmond-centric episodes along with Locke-centric episodes are the best. I think that curly blonde woman that was an other is daniels mom, and several people seem to think that widmore is daniels father.

I want to see more of the woman who was doing all the math stuff on the board. There's something about her that I really like.

And now we know that Richard pre-dates Whidmore. The fact that we saw Whidmore as a teen and just a follower takes some of the punch out of him older and saying "his island." As near as I can figure out, Whidmore was part of the "natural" islanders (apparently like Richard), then Ben came with Dharma, killed Dharma, and teamed up with Richard? So where does that leave Whidmore? Is he just mad that Ben took over? There needs to be something deeper than that. And this last episode would seem to show that Whidmore wasn't/isn't connected to Dharma, as far as being behind it?

Next episode looks more off-island centered, or so the preview looks like.

About the ratings,

I think the college basketball season may be holding them back just a little, maybe a few tenths of a point anyway. The ABC affiliate from my hometown has an SEC basketball game on EVERY Wednesday at 7, no matter if the state school is playing or not. It has something to do with a contract that if they were going to get the home state games, they'd have to get other conference games. So Lost is always on around midnight or 1am. If other stations have to deal with that, they could be impacting the ratings. Even the anchors on the station used to complain that they'd have to stay up late or record it.

As far as Whidmore is concerned I think he may have been the leader between richard and ben, just because we saw him as a young man doesn't mean he was selected when he was younger. I remember last season that ben said it wasn't his idea to kill off all of dharma, and it didn't seem like something richard would do, so what if that was Whidmore's idea if he was indeed the leader. I get that idea because he sent in mercenaries to kill everyone on the island but ben, he seems to have no problem killing off huge groups of people. As far as ben is concerned Whidmore probably got pissed that ben was his replacement. Maybe there is a time frame for leadership and at a certain time a new leader has to take over.

Ben was part of Dharma, so maybe Whidmore was pissed because Ben was part of "them" and then became the leader? I feel like him just being a "leader" like Ben is a let down.
