See the pattern? Anthony’s entire two year run on the show is basically a kind of "palindrome"!

I enjoyed reading your thoughts tremendously. Thank you for taking the time to post it.

I find the "palindrome" point particularly fascinating. Wonder if that was deliberate. I tend to think they might have had a 2-year plan for Anthony - but the palindrome just happened.

Thank you @kalbir and @DRW50 I may have to look back for sure myself. I know the following year 2003’s “Hot Enough For You” with that Daniel Bedingfield song also generated some controversy as well for racy content, mainly for a B&B ad that showed Amber holding Little Eric over a cliff with the announcer yelling “Is this hot enough for you?!” and that Bedingfield appeared on GL to sing his song (very poorly) at the Bauer BBQ or something.

I loved the Hot Enough for You promos. And I adored the song.

    I'd love to see B&B's Deacon-Macy-Amber promo.

Another possibly unpopular opinion - I actually like Sly as a character (in pretty much the same way I like Clarke - he's not exactly a good guy but he is entertaining and fairly well-developed). I think it was the way his introduction was written that really impressed me, because in a single episode we got a PERFECT snapshot of exactly what Sly was about.

What episode was he introduced? :)

BTW I love you guys' posts!

Another "famous" case is Y&R's Donald Feinberg (a/k/a Don Diamont) who'd spent 20+ years using a non-Jewish stage name and living a non-Jewish identity.  Just as Diamont began embracing his heritage, the Y&R writer, Lynn Marie Latham, decided to retcon Brad Carlton into a Jewish guy named George Kaplan who'd been hiding out in plain sight marrying Gentile heiresses.  Now suddenly he was at odds with the Evil Art Thieves, and Victoria Newman was crafting faux reliquaries out of construction paper and glitter.  Nevermind, let's just forget that one, lol.

I didn't know that DD was secretive about his Jewish heritage and embraced it later in his career -- although I'll admit back then, reading his interviews about the dreadful Reliquary storyline, it was the very first time I had seen him mention his Jewish background.

Why is this show allergic to scoring scenes?! Every other soap still does but this trash bag of a program thinks all scenes should be silent or have that lame twinkly music they use at the end of every episode!

Maybe they think it's more primetime-ish or something?

Brenda’s first day back is on YT again after so many years. I can’t imagine Adair playing these scenes with such fire and intensity.

Question for our tech heroes - how can I download this clip now that YT1s is down?

I've always appreciated the fact that Anne Heche embraces her beginnings in daytime. She's as at home talking about Marley & Vicky as anything else she's done. Some actors like to bury their past in soaps as if they're somehow ashamed of it. But, sometimes it's not the actor who is guarding their bio that way, it's their handlers.

Well, I mean... she was outstanding. She must be rightly proud of her work there. ❤️

It's from the Y&R youtube channel which I think works only in the US.  It's the scene at the end of Monday April 25 US episode when Jack brings Nikki to Diane's hotel room. The very last one minute and 8 seconds of the episode.

Thanks! Here's hoping someone will upload it to Twitter or TheVault 🤞
