  1. Is that Niki? Great photo!
  2. Lots of chuckles, particularly for the meta stuff, maybe three genuine LOLs four episodes in. Kimmy's, "I didn't leave you. I forgot you." had us cracking up.
  3. My s.o. and I have watched the first four episodes. We enjoy it in the same treacly way we enjoyed the original. I have to say, I'm impressed/relieved (?) that Candace is willing to "go there" with certain things that I'm sure bump up against her Evangelical sensibilities. I was ready to cut my favorite Miss Stephanie with that God awful English accent in episode one, so glad they cut. it. out.
  4. I miss you! I wish there was more to talk about around here these days. :-/
  5. Kelly looks like she's sitting in front of the NBC peacock.

My friend Amanda Seales was supposed to be a guest panelist, but got cut last minute. Look her up, I think she'd be a great addition, particularly to balance Raven.
  7. Thanks for sharing that! I'm so sad that the New York soap opera has gone the way of the dodo. I'm sure there are a million stories like this one. As an actor who works primarily in the theatre, I'm really sad that I never had the chance to be a part of that community. They'll be back someday in some shape or form, though. I just may be an Asa instead of a Ford (God willing!).
  8. That Carol clip is priceless!
  9. I knew that Luther was a jingle singer, but I didn't realize that he had gigs as lucrative as this one.
  10. I didn't know that Meredith and Melinda were close friends. That's quite an ironic nugget of history that could have been mentioned during one of Viki and Dorian's many encounters in subsequent decades.
  11. I had a rough go of it buying Greenlee at first. RB as Michelle on GL was still fresh on my mind. I think RB has the most beautiful big brown eyes, but I can't say that I ever cared for or about Greenlee. Or Kendall for that matter post-SMG. TBH, I don't think I cared about any character created after 1995.

A 20/20 special about this whole mess is currently airing Eastern.
  13. Those brown pants make it look like she isn't wearing anything. The fake audience reactions are ANNOYING AS HELL but I like the main actress (I've seen her before as a talking head on one of the news networks). I feel like I've seen this exact same plot on probably 3 different web series...but it was very cute. Ha, I see what you mean about the pants. The studio audience reactions, that was just a joke for that scene, they don't do that all the time, thankfully. Yeah, Amanda and her facial expressions got some attention last year for a CNN segment about catcalling. She was a VJ/talking head for MTV/VH1, and when she was a kid in Orlando, she was on that Nickelodeon show, My Brother and Me (and the cinema classic, Cop and a Half starring Mr. Burt Reynolds).
  14. Angell Conwell (Leslie, Y&R) guest-starred on my friend Amanda's webseries:
  15. No, and I still wonder what conversations were had among the Shapiros, Spelling, and ABC about this. Did they just not care? They wanted an Alexis-like character for The Colbys, and I suppose it would have been cheesy and terribly transparent to hire another Brit and not expressly tie her to Alexis. It's especially odd when Miles shows up with amnesiac Fallon aka his new bride Randall and Sable is practically salivating at the fact that Miles has married Blake Carrington's daughter... also your FIRST COUSIN's daughter. However, when Monica and cousin Jeff start a flirtation, Alexis says no worries because Sable was raped and Monica and Miles aren't Jason's biological children anyway. Scandal!
  16. I came here to post this. Would love to see it but probably won't unless comped (Arena ticket$$$$).
  17. I'm almost positive that Skye had already left town. I don't remember any scenes involving her within this storyline, mostly Adam, Hayley, and Arlene. I do remember Hayley mentioning off-canvas Skye in loaded conversations with Adam re: his children/parenting skills during the time before CG's "Toni" showed up. BTW, I thought the way they shoehorned Toni into Skye-dom was so clunky and awkward.
  18. Yes indeed, seems like yesterday. Of course, who knew that sisters had just met for the first time? (Can we just forget that retcon bull about Skye not being Adam's?) I also recall the first time we saw her blonde hair. I want to say that Brian was up on a ladder, changing a lightbulb or painting or something, and she came in from the kitchen/other room, bashful running her fingers through it. Brian (and we at home) were so taken aback. In my youth, it never occurred to me that she was wearing an Elvira wig. I just assumed that she dyed it.
  19. I was fully expecting a predominantly white, Jewish cast for Potomac and thought, "Maybe Prince George's County is next." PG County has the highest concentration of wealthy blacks in the country. I was surprised to see so many people of color for the Potomac cast. Darren Starr is from Potomac, 20854, and based 90210 on his high school experience. Lynda Carter is Potomac's biggest celebrity and everyone seems to have their own first- or second-hand story of seeing her at Montgomery Mall. Kennedy-Shrivers, Stallones, Sugar Ray Leonard, several NBA players have all lived there.

Well I guess somebody out there is listening... finally, Jennifer Holliday this Wednesday!
  21. I think we were robbed of some potentially great scenes with Laureen, Sam, Myrna, and Trey.

??? She said she was "dating" Sammy in the early 70's? He was married to Altovise. ??? She said she was "dating" Sammy in the early 70's? He was married to Altovise. Yes indeedy, she specified that she was Sammy's mistress while he was with Altovise. She was mistress of ceremonies for his cabaret act.

Not sure if I missed her being mentioned upthread, but I fell down the rabbit hole the other night and stumbled upon clips of Kathy McKee (Lonette's sister) claiming that she was also sexually assaulted by Cosby. Kathy had bit parts on Sanford and Son and dated celebs like Richard Pryor (he insisted that she was given a cameo in his SNL episode), and Sammy Davis, Jr., who she says she was dating at the time of the assault. Kathy made a few IMDb posts that I remember reading some years ago. Apparently her sister wanted her to "keep her name out her mouth" so to speak as an alleged representative for Lonette made posts telling readers that Kathy in no way represented Lonette and that there was no communication/relationship between the two sisters.

I think that's more like it. I'm no defender of the co-hosts, but I feel like folks are blowing this out of proportion.
