Yes, the midwestern Italian descent who ate Oakdale. I should note here that Janet & Katie were both trying to be the first to eat Oakdale!!!! You do know how ATWT ended up hiring Passanante, right? Please if you do not, say so. I had a Twitter/DM conversation with her once, about Lumina & it was NOT reassuring. That was AW, though, not why she landed & stayed at ATWT.

At that point there was no way GL could afford Conboy. He is constitutionally incapable of being even a minimally decent EP if he cannot spend money on stuff. What role did Pinson win for? I guess ATWT which is a shame. I have a great fondness for both PAS & Pelphrey. I was a huge fan of both Otalia & Jami & his bipolar character on OZARK was a best ever. Millee is a dream come true. But if I were HW dreaming for GL during this time period I'd want what I did want: Nancy Curlee back. Period. In my own way I hold a grudge soapily with the best of them. I never watched even as much as a promo for PSSN. And, I am one of many AW fans who wear that as a badge of honor.

"'Mo was a Reardon by birth, a Bauer by marriage, Michele's mother by circumstance, seen by many fans as the inheritor of Bert's matriarchy, a tentpole legacy character and Roger's only real friend, … " - about JFP killing Ellen Parker's character, Maureen, on GL 2 focus groups on 2 shows did not see the value in 2 female characters who were both actually quite beloved likely because focus groups can be misused as easily as well used. In both instances said character was killed off to uproars that lasted years after the actual events.

Yeah, there's been some questionable quality. That one picture of Ashley in the camera, though is one that is excellent. Sometimes they are nailing details like that & some time not. But, anything tech, to any degree, I'm telling myself that we know Carruthers had her hands full n the beginning. And Monday is Episode 28, right?

Both Jason & Carly had scenes with Danny when Sam died, which was Halloween, and off & on for a few weeks after, so in November. I think Jason has made reference to speaking to Barcelona boy, whether that was just texting, unsure, but twice. So typical contact for soap kids. Nothing special.

Weren't we told he's set financially? I think so. All they need to do is drop documentarian. Straight-up photog is fine. Not papparazzi, just a guy who takes good pictures.

Okay, well, it definitely was known in some quarters at least that the show did take Michelle & Danny off canvas specifically because of idiotic fanbase wars. No, the notorious Buzz Board was pervasively warlike. Arrive there, express any opinion & immediately someone called you out for warfare. Civil posters avoided it. Spaulding Mansion was neutral. Sure, some fought. Most did not. I detested ConWest. Yes, he was obtuse & out of touch while she was inept. Don't even get me started on Marty West, baseball diamond, running off Aubrey Dollar or the dreaded sock puppet!!! LOL Oh, and CCulliton & whoever else did a year's tenure as co-HW were saints! Podcast I think was 4-6 months, maybe.

Wait ... Carmen, Sandra Santiago, right? And, Maria was their abuela? If so, I respectfully disagree. To me their abuela was very different from the character Santiago played. That said, I was not at all a fan of the Santos family & their show eating. Also Tony & Marah were a very different couple than Michelle & Danny.

GH wanted Laura a whole 6 months before she could get free. The 3rd of 4 Carlys was hired & worked for that 6 months. LW was first "The role of Carly (whatever her last name was then) is now being played by Laura Wright" in early Nov. 2005. Was that when the show got rid of Danny & Michelle because they were sick of the fanbase wars over which Michelle? And KZ was the only person to refuse that pay cut. I never knew Cole had one of those pay or play contracts. Jim Reilly had one. RKK had one.

LOL! Yes, I have written a blog on Kim's book, a review, and I would not put much stock in this particular paragraph. She doesn't do a very good job describing actors being moved from contract to recurring nor does she explain the pay cut or why these things had to happen. I have to laugh. Wheeler, like anyone, wanted to do the best she could with what she had to work with & in the circumstances she inherited. White knight? Getting rid of vets? Presumed preference for younger actors? GMAB. Not what was going on. Where is the word budget or Procter & Gamble too cheap to pay an experienced EP? Or dissolving MADD's exec position? Wonder why Kim doesn't mention any of these things. I never knew that. Of course, that was GH sending a message.

ALL: General Retro Soap Discussion
Scott McKinsey, Beverlee's son, had that interview but he'd never watched it, so he didn't know what he had. Someone had given it to him. I discovered it & asked his permission to listen to it & I of course was amazed. Here was a forgotten gem. I asked him if I could post it & with his permission I have put it out in the cyberspace universe. He & I agree that it is her most candid & also most interesting interview. Totally agree that it would be fabulous to have had her time as Alex included, but it wasn't to be. However, the Micheal Logan interview after she left GL is also quite candid. One thing I liked is it shows her friendship with Victoria Wyndham.

I've always said 4-6, so your 5 is an average of my estimation. And, that she did is a kind of a tribute to her & also imo something of a miracle, if we believe in that kind of thing. Of course, our truths on this point fly in the face of the somewhat idiotic idea that instead of giving it more years that she killed it, are just ridiculous. I mean look, see, pay heed. And, agree with you that in no way did she get rid of any of the show's heart. And, it wasn't that he was smoking a cigar, it was that he put it out on the soundstage floor, in a spotlight, nonetheless! What does Justin Deas have to do with Phelps & her focus group? What do you mean here? This is news to me if he had any part in it. And, if so, I certainly want to learn what it was.
