  1. THANKS!! WOW, she really does look like Bridget. Never got that before. Thanks.
  2. Jason is spending time with various people, but it's people who are relatively new rather than traditional persons from his past. Anna, Sasha, most of the people at the Qs since he lives there now. He & Carly did not see each other for a period of almost 3 weeks. We only saw him with Spinelli twice, once finally reunited after Jason returned & then a terrible time when Jason gave Spixie the news that Sam had died. But, he's seen Anna, Sasha & Tracy more than ever before. I believe he sees Danny often & we don't witness it.
  3. He played Lucky, didn't he?
  4. I also loved Staab on PC & more recently in this movie about a girls volleyball team.
  5. @MaximWho knew? KaMo has pipes!!! https://www.instagram.com/p/DIJWpqJggKh/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  6. My main knowledge of him is as Travis Montgomery on AMC. Plus I am aware that both he & Lisa Brown functioned as acting coaches on some shows. Does anyone know which shows that was? Not that it matters but I don't really remember Kyle on GL.
  7. Thank you so much. From context, I guessed an alter but am only familiar with others, not her. Got it now. ( I have watched only the tiniest amt of OLTL.)
  8. At least we had the great gift of Stephanie dying in Brooke's arms. I will never forget that day. It was if they were long time lovers, not adversaries. Brilliant work on the part of both of those amazing dames!!!
  9. https://archive.org/details/beverlee-mc-kinsey-1982-city-lights I also have it up on my Rumble account. In case you have any problem with the Internet archive, just PM me.
  10. For those of us who aren't familiar with Jean Randolph, can you explain?
  11. I think about Bill Bell saying he thought the sex between Bill & Laura was consensual that awful night & I think OH SH*T ... I think about JER & yes I get it about the ratings but still & all the time was so divisive & polarizing. Finally, left with Carlivati to think about how his tenure was just as notable but in totally a negative way. The last thing I think is @JAS0N47how is it that we've thought all this time that his last day was the 23rd & now we learn it's really the 22nd? Can this be explained?
  12. Ya know, that entity whoever it may be, screws up with fair regularity!
  13. Nooooooo, not to my Andre. He is far too precious.
  14. What I said was that it put him in an awkward & difficult position because he is as close to Nicole as he is to Ted. But, what danger is it that you are thinking of?
  15. Like what other reasons? That he wanted to be a team player or something like that? I do think there is some method to the madness when they idealize an interracial couple to some degree because it gives them rootability for the non-bigots. They know they're going to get backlash so it's that much more important that the couple be wildly popular!
  16. That was all Ellen Wheeler. P&G would not even budget for the products. And, it was also not something that was mandated by CBS, which the new production model was. She was determined to show using product placement within the context of the show was possible instead of buying ad time. Other things that were her idea: the Otalia pairing, the special Wednesday episodes (Into The Light) & building houses in certain communities.
  17. Actually knowing her at the end of the show I know she didn't dislike the show or certainly not its history & I've never read anything she said that made me think that. Now, that is not the same as her having objections to things like, just one example, that NBC was trying to push AW to be more like DAYS at one point, or that she was knowledgeable about the politics behind the scenes. Because of her acumen the AW cast & crew were the best informed, the most savvy but also the most politicized of any soap at that time. Is there anything specific she said that bothers you? I mean, so we could talk about it, etc.
  18. VW was savvy so of course she was frustrated but I don't think her devotion & loyalty to the show ever wavered, period. Besides doing COUPLETS & LOVE LETTERS for the fans she took over the annual fan luncheon & ran it with an eye to 100% participation by the entire cast & also to seeing that it, too, was FOR the fans. Fan club president Mindi Shulman just took her marching orders from VW instead of P&G. Plus, she never gave less than 100% any tape day. And, she & CK did, both, mentor young actors & also they did tweak their scripts plus she pitched stories & did some writing. There was never any serious consideration on P&G's part that VW was anything but the star of the show. Now, NBC both wanted to kill the show & wanted to get rid of VW but that's a totally different situation.
  19. Of course the bias you are talking about only exists for US daytime dramas, not for Brit soaps for example & not for US primetime soaps either. I have always thought it was a pink collar thing, straight-up sexism, misogyny, etc. but is why the genre is ghettoized. (If that is actually a word.) This of course was not the case in typical US entertainment for a very long time. Most of what was provided by the 3 networks then was flat-out episodic TV. But, it has now also been a long time since primetime began to heavily poach US daytime. Personally I think of Hill Street Blues & St. Elsewhere as the shows that began to produce more soapily, first, had success with it & then that spread because the US is so very prone to copycatting. I've got someone in my soap group on FB that wants me to do this so we can have a discussion about what people like & dislike in their soaps today, right now & I have been resisting because it seems so impossible to codify, quantify, qualify, etc. just as you seem to be saying.
  20. I suspect I am a typical viewer when it comes to Spinelli. Used to despise him with a passion & now I love him. D'uh.
  21. Hey! I love every scene with Anita.
  22. AW: Rachel vs Iris Cecile vs anyone Cass was with Vivian vs. anyone who didn't like to laugh Carolyn the gorilla vs. the fans Felicia vs. Tall Boys when she ran into it in an 18 wheeler Wally vs. diseases that kill little people P&G vs. NBC Reginald Love vs. Vince McKinnon Vicky vs. Lisa (Vicky won Jamie.) Vicky vs. Marley (that twin animosity) JFP vs. Donna then Frankie
  23. I'm sorry. I know this means I am no fun to play with but I absolutely hated the very idea of Ryan's corneas being implanted in Bobbareno's eyes! However, I am positive that you are correct & this was what the other article WAS TALKING ABOUT!!! BTW, at some venues, on Sunday, after doing COUPLETS on Saturday, VW & Charles DID DO LOVE LETTERS. Not in Atlanta so I didn't see it but lots of places other people did!
  24. Oh, that's so funny to me because my reaction & impressions are so very different. I loved Judith McConnell as Sophia & appreciated all of her disguises & accents not in the sense of their being consistently realistic, because they not only weren't, they weren't intended to be. But, you always knew what the intent was & what the elements being used were meant to stand for, if that makes any sense at all. But, it truly was always a "performance" not an actuality, again if that makes sense. Abrupt change of subject: Have you ever seen the Russian version of the "stunt, recast reveal" where it changes from Terry Lester as Mason to Gordon Thompson as MasonWannaBe? If not, here it is with the bonus of getting to hear Julia dubbed in Russian. https://www.instagram.com/p/DGimzgSpYp4/
