What are you thinking was a retcon? Vicky & Jake had an absolute past as a couple & certainly were potentially a supercouple. There was nothing that was retroactively conveniently made up as a romantic background. They were a couple when they first came to town. They grew up together. In their joint past sometimes they weren't romantic & sometimes they were. Personally I didn't care for Vicky & Jake together but that doesn't mean they didn't have tons of fans. Me, I was Jake & Paulina all the way & in like fashion I was Vicky & Ryan all the way. Death interrupted that. Anyway, unless you're thinking of something I do not remember, there was no retcon between Vicky & Jake.

I so badly want them to come up with something good for TB! guess it would be out of the question to break up John & Marlena to put John with Ava ... Maybe it's time for a John Black doppelganger?! He could be returned from the far distant past & be Forrest!

Well, as I've said I am loving Cady as Jenn & I think she's doing a great job with grieving Jenn & JJ's mother & I have no problem with her as Jack's wife. I have problems with Jack right now but I have had off & on ever since he became so hopelessly devoted to Gwen. But, I think that the idea of going back & forth between Cady & Missy is probably up there with a Top 10 Stoopid Idear! How could it not create problems? It just seems ready-made for trouble.

Well, when you put it that way, there's a dearth of "big baddies"! Has someone buried the template for the real deal in a mayonaise jar in the back yard?!

I have no suggestions for DOOL. For GH I think Esme does the trick.

Writers are always giving women nurturing lines in the clench. Who else is gonna say them? Julie can't do them all. As it is this family is picking up a lot of slack. They ID'd the body. They made the trip to the funeral home to make the arrangements. They got a dress. Everyone is doing fine by Chad.

I didn't have a problem with Chandler either. I suspect that the is hyper-suspected of having a sh*t-eating grin on his face by a cadre of folk here.. How do we know he didn't do it? I think he remembered hurting his hand the morning after, on the bottle. I think Jack looks like hell & acts like hell. His writing now is for sh*t. But I think it's because he is in a very bad place. I loved Jenn talking to JJ & the obit & Kayla struggling & Steve signing to her. Chad's small but important moment with the pocket square was a perfect touch. I like it when DOOL is this kind of writing & acting & directing.

I'm not a fan of back from the dead, but I am a fan of Abigail's mouth. I loved the things she'd say & the ways she'd say them. I think it's a fair bet that when she was annoying you, she was delighting me.

I find this a funny thing to answer. One, he refused to come back if it meant playing Sam again. Two, at some point he said he would never work with Sandy again. Three, at some point she said she would never work with Robert again! A fair answer to your question is Yes! and then some more! But, they wanted him, for some unknown reason, and they were willing to come up with that cockamamie corneal transplant along with the dreadful name, Bobby Reno, and then they let MM change him from the get-go. Retired race car driver, just doing work around the house, ma'am, to a citified, urbanite doctor. Sure. It would have been Sandy Ferguson, as that's where they were then. And, she & Vicky could've been set up in a triangle with Evan maybe, but not with Bobby/Shane which is in another post. I can't think of anyone but Evan.

But for those of us who loved Abigail who were lucky enough to get to spend even a few moments with her that task may prove insurmountable. She had so much more life to live, memories to make and fine work to do. This should not be the last line of her story.

Most of what he did at AW wasn't really "AW" stories. He had had this soap that was supposed to really take off, air at supper time, be set in New Orleans, etc. It may have been named BOURBON STREET. It may have been earmarked for the USA network. (Might have been Hallmark.) And, JG may have been co- with him on it. Not sure. But, I am sure that the leads were a couple Shane & Lila Roberts. I believe Shane had been a pilot in the Air Force but now he is a doctor. Lila was very much a fainting Southern belle type & she was terrified of storms. So, Robert Kelker Kelly had been hired back at AW but not as his old character, as a new character, Bobby Reno, a race car driver who had had a terrible accident & had had to have his corneas replaced. The corneas he got were from Ryan Harrison donation, Vicky's beloved, who had died. Malone gave Bobby Reno a whole new character, that of Shane Roberts. Lisa Peluso was hired as Lila. Malone took the iconic working class guy who always had a chip on his shoulder & was generally defensive Jake McKinnon & decided that he was a Cary Grant type. Whoosh. Personality change. He tampered a bit here & a bit there, always changing things with the rest of town. Mostly he used up that show bible! Frankly, I think it would've made a good soap but it was not good as a transplant onto struggling AW.

Yes, I think we can tell from the rest of his affect that he is not a bad actor. I think he's a pretty good one, who has this one thing that is really annoying! He could hire an acting coach & do some work & fix it. If anyone knows someone who knows him, do a good deed, say something! Careers are cut-throat enough. He could only help himself by fixing the only flaw I see.

Is it just nervous tension that he can't suppress? A good director or a good acting coach ought to be able to drum that out of him in just a few sessions.

Thnx. When he came to AW for 6 months, anticipation was so high and then it was so very terrible, well, I wondered if it was just us. I've often wondered if the magic of MM & JG their first go round at OLTL was actually the magic of Gottlieb.

Did Malone live up to expectations on his second foray into OLTL?
