I just realized that Holly has an awful accent. What is it? I hope they put her with an acting coach & try to get rid of it. She is young enough that it would probably be good for her future career. I find myself comparing Charlotte/GH to Holly/DAYS. So far I think the new teens are good. I think Tate is so realistic. And, his scene with Brady was very good. Laughed at him saying that washing dishes is embarrassing. HUH? What's embarrassing about it? DAYS went all the way around the world practically to justify having Theresa move in with Alex! And then he invited her on the basis of her fine taste in china. Now that's a new one!

Notable: Only Brandon Barash looks like he doesn't fit in. Dee does not have on a blazer. Corday, who the fans feel antagonistic toward, is in these pix but I have seen NONE of him in any fan pix. I know of only Mary Beth Evans, Greg Vaughn & Ari Zucher not being present, but, somehow this just seems ... small? I wonder why they changed it from November to October & I also wonder how much notice people had of that change. Of course, it is free but most people have to make it work with their schedule, fly on Friday & Sunday, pay for hotel, etc. & it really adds up, etc. One other thing is that the DHs every other year exchanged a kiss & this year they chose not to, which some fans took as a real kick to "tradition."

I think they were trying to be clever.

Looking at their entire careers, I do not think they were guilty of not having sufficient attention span & I do think they ably did long-term plotting. Now talking about at this point in time after they won & got to go back to the show, empty victory though that was, I'm not disagreeing about anything that's been said. I am completely sure that they could not see the forest for the trees & were blind to the show! I only wish that they'd realized how hindered they were & had brought someone on to be their eyes & ears for them. What became of it was a sorry shame.

Were they in blue chambray shirts or in black t-shirts or black sleeved shirts?? From either one of these?

Well, if burning down Horton House is one more thing that accrues to the Monster Alarr, at least that will go some ways to ameliorate my feelings. Blaming him for: Lindsay Arnold, Camila, Marth Madison. Harris & Ava romance, the last Bope story & now burning down a house.

Yes, even a big yes, to one thing, Xander being the true heir. Burning down Alice's house? It's just BEYOND. It's as if someone said how else can we show our disrespect for the show legacy? History? And, with the 60th anniversary coming up, ... what's a big enough slap in the face? I know! I know! Let's burn down Horton House! I bet the ornaments can't be saved. Oh, yeah, there was significant chatter about the fact that last year, and perhaps other years before, this was in November. Apparently significant numbers of people couldn't go because of the schedule change. Greg Vaughn & Ari, they each had fan events in other states. Mary Beth Evans had something that schedule could not be changed.

@j swift Totally agree on the general ineptitude of NBC to promote their soaps! In any way, print or tv, at any time, with possibly some very few exceptions, they just produced one flop after another. @Xanthe This promo is just such a hoot! Such a total disconnect between the show, the characters, and this hip 90s dance theme. And, here we have a rare something, Dano in the hair extensions!! Those images are hard to find! I know. To come up with pictures of "Dano with long hair" that people ask for, I ended up making screen caps from that week Jason was killed, the birthday bash. Dano & Wm. Grey look ridic! I'm so tickled you found it. It should be soundly ridiculed among people who love the show! We always called her Cocaine Nicole!

Well, I think what should have happened is that NBC should've fired Anne Howard Bailey since the Dobsons wanted her off the writing team & they'd been pitched total creative control at the outset, only to learn that only NBC could fire her. But, still simple solution, NBC should've fired her. Once that did not happen & New World & the Dobsons sued & countersued each other, I just don't see a good solution coming out of that battle. It was an unholy mess. I go back to Bridget's statement about her & AHB & their philosophies. "It was impossible for Anne Howard Bailey to get inside my head, and I could not get in her head. You include the clone & I don't understand that. We know that it was mandated by CBS. We know that Rauch fought against it. Do you include it because it's result fit the pattern, no matter its origin? Or, something else? I started out very interested in Sebastian. I wish I knew what they had planned that required Ed Bauer. They made a mistake waiting for Peter Simon. If the story needed an Ed Bauer, they should have cast someone & written whatever it was they wanted to happen, to happen. As it was Sebastian just ended up being one unholy mess.

Oh, yeah, much less than 6 months. I can't wait till the show gets really past some of this! I love Tamara Braun but as much as I love her that much is how much I dislike Steve Burton. It was bad enough when the show wasted her just making pasta for Rafe every day & having sex every night. Now because Alarr wanted it we have to see a romance between Harris & Ava. Some people say that we lost Lindsay Arnold because of him. We know he was why we're losing Martha Madison. I also hope that someone makes some interesting statements tomorrow! If Day Of Days 2023 isn't the right time for a pep talk on the future of the show, the balance of Season 59 & the exciting Season 60 I don't know when would be the time! The only thing I liked today was that Greg Vaughn just looks at Ari like Eric is still in love with her. But I also did not hate today, and there's that, right?

Thanks for replying. I am an American & I have lived most of my life in the South & the Southeast. Except for 8 years when I lived in Brooklyn, New York, which is upper Northeast. While I lived in NY I met many people who were in & worked on the soaps Guiding Light, As the World Turns, All My Children & One Life to Live. That was one of many exciting things about that area.

I've thought that something like this was coming, for awhile, that they would have a serious conversation - or a fight - about Esme & about his living situation & even about his attitude toward Nik. Longtime regular watching fans seem to recall Spencer as a child having a rather idyllic childhood & receiving much love & attention from his father. Spencer's current version of his past is at odds with that. Nik needs to return & to be a father to Baby Ace. Spencer needs to have a place of his own. Spencer may have to go into therapy to get over his abandonment issues. Also I loved the Cher "Snap out of it!" reference. FUN! I have a question about Blaze. Is she a woman of color? Not that it matters ...

I began watching DAYS in the 60s, not the first year but very soon after. So, Wayne was my Roman & Peter was my Bo but I think that Robert was one of those excellent successful recasts!! And, Mark Valley, he. too, was a great recast and I also liked him on Another World! They were very worried about that recast, RKK, for good reason, because Peter was so popular, so they did a real makeover on Robert to make him look as close to Peter as possible and what's ironic is that turned out to be the look that Robert has continued throughout his life. If you ever see any YouTube of Robert as Sam on Another World, his look was very different. Longish hair & clean shaven.
