ARTICLE: ABC to Air Primetime Special in January to Celebrate Milestone 60th Anniversary of ‘General Hospital’
I'm still pissed that Hulu watchers are second class citizens.

Today was another good DAYS but just barely. Didn't care for Chanel & Johnny. Why in the world was that their first time with food? At least Johnny has his finger on the pulse of Holly. If only EJ had listened to him. One thing that was wrong with today was No Nicole. BTW 2 days ago when she sang "Mockingbird" & cried just blew me away. And EOB's feathered folly for a blouse was appalling.

DAYS: Actor Exiting!
Here is where it gets ironic. How many of us are dual fans - both DAYS and GH? How many of us dual fans do not care for Burton? We're about to experience him on both of those shows, probably for several months. Geeze. WHY did I have to think this?!

Well, they supposedly played on that angle of Drew during Greenville but the character was said to have saved everyone when he really did nothing. I did not like Cameron on AMC but I was determined to give him a try here & I did try, hard & long, and it's just not there. At Portia's wedding every time he'd take the mic, to make a toast or whatever, he just looked like a product spokesperson! Bring on the Infomercial for ... something!

DAYS: Steve & the Pawn
She's been around a long time. I believe she used to write for Mimi Torchin at Weekly. And, now she has by-lines at both SoapHub & at Digest. Others at SoapHub who are excellent soap journos include Alina Adams & Michael Maloney. The pertinent text: John Black: The Rewrite According to a behind-the-scene source, the past has been tweaked a tad for the sake of telling this exciting story. Viewers will learn some new things about Victor Kiriakis’s original plans for The Pawn. It involves Steve (Stephen Nichols), who, at that point in time, was a villain and The Pawn’s handler, taking him to Greece for a specific assignment. That assignment spiraled and led to a tragic outcome. A Friendship Tested Obviously, Steve has knowledge of everything that went down, since his memories of the past are intact. Yet, he’s chosen to keep the information from John (Drake Hogestyn) for decades, despite knowing how desperate John is to fill in those missing years of his life. Has it been to protect his (now) best friend (not to be outshone by his old best friend, Marcus), or is it out of shame for his part in the whole horrible fiasco? Either way, look for it to cause serious tension between the two men. The kind of tension that could test their friendship and pit them against each other. Back to the Present As things come to a head, Konstantin’s connection to it all will be revealed. And, the tragedy from John’s past as The Pawn – remember, back then he was a hired assassin – will rear its ugly head in the present. At that point, its effect on John, Steve, and their loved ones promises to be riveting.

DAYS: Steve & the Pawn
I guess in my mind I have always thought that if they went back that they would go to the Alamains.

Not that I know. They do publish things that are actually speculation that some people conflate with spoilers. But, it just means you have to read the words.

DAYS: Steve & the Pawn
I am so worried. I mean, seriously, last year, for DVD week, when we learned he was a Robechaux, that was the best they'd done on a John Black retcon tweaking & they needed to stop, right there, and not go any further. And, now, here they come with some long-hidden secret. OMG.

12-4-91 Day 16 Not a jerk. (12-31-23) No idea who is playing Stefano but their accent is horrible! John finally acknowledges that he is not Roman. Roman looks forward to putting his family back together, beginning with Marlena as his wife. She has a funny expression on her face as he expresses this. 12-5-91 Day 17 Not a jerk. (1-4-24) Marlena expresses to John that she loves him & he says she doesn't & that he is not the man she fell in love with. He asks her if she can say that she does not love the other guy. She can't say that. He knew she couldn't. She tells Roman that she loves him. And that it feels very very good for him to hold her this way. But that she needs some time. Does he understand? He says he does. He says he is not going to push her. He's waited 7 years so he guesses he can wait longer.- GH: January 2024 Discussion Thread
Well, I had a totally different experience with today's show. I'll start by saying that I liked everything! The writing, the directing the acting. I've never seen a show approach a Memorial this way & so far I love it. Top of the list was Laura Wright, just at the top of her game & this doesn't happen to me often but she did make me cry. Very relatable. I loved how she felt like she should have done something to bring Bobbie home sooner, blaming herself when there is no blame. Sonny had a very interesting reaction. Willow showed me acting chops I didn't know she had. I thought for a minute she was going to shove him into the water & leave.- GH: Classic Thread
