  1. These are good points. Blast, I am so ready to be done with him & with his influence. If I understand, at the height of his power, which apparently was right before the fall came, he was supposedly de facto HW & was overriding Ron's decisions, left & right. On to today, it's been a good while since we've had an episode this long, 45 minutes. Sonia directing again & another day of very interesting sexiness that is really hot! I had no desire to see action between Ava & Stefan, or really Stefan with anyone sexually, or anyone with Stephanie or any romance from Everett, but all of the scenes were quite good, even moving. What did Xander say about himself: his stubborn Scottish side & his what Greek side? So, is it just me or is Theresa really wanting to get it on with Brady? And does he see this? I'm gonna have to say that today was a good DAYS.
  2. Or was it really a case this time of being storyline dictated? At any rate I don't know & I don't know anyone who knows. Everyone seems to wonder.
  3. Also agree. I can easily see them resurrecting Esme in a year, maybe. ⬅️This reply should have gone somewhere else. It makes no sense here at all. My only point about HP & employment is that I don't think Frank would ever rehire her. But, that is only one job under one person, which is not etched in stone or anything. NLG tried to get them to rehire her & we see how well that worked.
  4. Generally speaking I agree that some actors are given too much control over story. But I do not think it is true for most actors, so it could be worse. I believe most people are playing whatever they're given to play. For example apparently both Michael Easton & Becky Herbst do not want to be playing the romantic couple Fiz but they're having to do so, and no one in the office is interested in their opinion. But, we know that both Mo & Burton have say in what they play.
  5. I thought it was altogether "fitting & proper"! I think they wanted her to be the kind of all-out full-time villainess that can't be kept on the canvas for too long. The alternative would have been to have her pay a price & then have her possibly be a full-time person who was sly & devious but not evil.
  6. He is probably the only actor on daytime who's acting got progressively worse the longer he played his character. When you ask the question what kind of a writer was James Lipton, the only possible reply is that he was an excellent host of Inside the Actor's Studio. In like fashion what kind of actor was Ronn Moss, he clearly was a great pop rock persona.
  7. 1. Sorry to duplicate. 2. It's yesterday so in January & I edited a tag in it for you.
  8. I'm totally uncomfortable with the idea of children competing against adults in the Big Acting categories. Me, I thought they should fix it by having a Child category & a Teen category, not dump it. So, I'm ... stunned. I'll live.
  9. Well, it was a tale about a woman who desperately loved two different men. Naturally she was gonna screw up. 🤔😉 You know I love & adore Deidre & just eat it up with a spoon if it's dramatic & she gets to play it. Every catch in her voice sends me. But, I think about her saying that she did not want anything to happen, when she chased John down at the airport. And, I believe that was true & I think John took advantage at that point but it also was a natural way for him to react. Starting with the scene with Abe when she vents her feelings to him cause he's the only one she can with & we hear how wretched she is when she speaks about how he can love them both but she can't & has to choose. I think that is Dee Emmy Reel #1 & I think the story creates many more Emmy reel moments. (Of course Deidre wasn't playing on a fair field, but the scenes are worthy & rate Emmy reel potential, even though she never had a chance.)
  10. It has always been said that DAYS fans were the most loyal, dedicated but also "out there." Fans as in fanatical. When it comes specifically to diehard I'd say AW fans definitely were. I'm still in touch with people I've known online since the early to mid-90s & we have a group that is called "AW LastGaspers". Nowadays I think GH fans have become diehard.
  11. I don't know this media outlet, but this is in fact the latest on Haley Pullos. https://dailysoapdish.com/2024/02/general-hospital-haley-pullos-molly-lansing-davis-involved-in-shocking-lawsuit-as-troubling-details-emerge-in-lawsuit/
  12. They offered him that story & he declined. Given that he complained about having too many lines to learn at DAYS I think we can conclude that the effort as an actor that would be required of a potential Emmy story where they dealt with his brain trauma & made him back into Jason Q, is just far more effort than he wants to put in. They are on hiatus this week. His first tape days back begin next week.
  13. Well, I can explain what it was & what it came from but not why he did it. All along he said that they would not be doing nostalgia at the end & then he did blatant 1980s nostalgia. WTHeck does that mean. No. Yes. ??? But in the 80s during the highjinks of Cass, Felicia & Wally there was a gorilla named Carolyn (after Carolyn Culliton) & she had a mate named Richard (Richard Culliton) and a handler named Sam (Writer thought to write the best comedic soap Sam Radcliffe). So, it was an homage to that back then. Now the scene of Felicia grinding the gears, driving a truck, where the brakes have gone out, and she & Wally are in the front of the truck screaming & Carolyn the gorilla is in the back of the truck, presumably also screaming & they ran into Tall Boys, the restaurant, that scene is hilarious but it doesn't make me any less mad about the damned gorilla in the finale!!! Now if you already knew all of that, oops, sorry. The final song & the final scene & Carl & Rachel's acting & brief dialogue with Rachel making the rounds of the portraits, yes, that is lovely. But, the only thing I find brilliant is the device of all the wedding guests speaking into the video recorder to give their well wishes to the happy couple, when really everyone in the show gave a message directly to the fans. That was worthy!!!
  14. In the month of January I watched Nyad, Fellow Travelers, Julia on max both seasons, Rustin, Barbie. Re-watched the 1991 primetime reboot of Dark Shadows & it's weird but there are episodes missing. Also re-watched some of Happy Valley & some of Last Tango in Halifax. Also re-watched Everything Everywhere All At Once. Also re-watched The Long Kiss Goodnight.
  15. No, I don't think it has been established. And, Alex's growing jealousy, like Sloan's growing concern about her fitness as a mother plus possibly her not getting enjoyment out of the baby, yes, they're soapy dramatic elements, which if taken to some conclusion we might really get a kick out of them! (When you read that sentence you may realize that I love Faulkner.) We have the scabs till May is what was said, right? Seems they will have to take some things to some high point of conflict! '
  16. Okay, but just to clarify what I am talking about prevents the other person from even seeing you. So, invisible both ways, not just one way. I am not arguing with you just being more clear about what I meant.
  17. I certainly agree with this that I have bolded. It could easily be the preface of just about anything one says during this time period about each of them & all of them.
  18. Well, she wouldn't have. After all she did sleep with two different men in a short number of hours, in the same day & she'd know that was the only reason that he used that word. This is not brain surgery. It's pretty simple human nature.
  19. Well, if I understand things, and I did say if, but I think this would have been right when the fan campaign was at its height to get Corday to take action on the miscreant coEP/Dir & they had 2 dark weeks that were spur of the moment decisions followed by his firing. So my point is that it was a crazy time I am sure & maybe they made a quick decision to waylay them for awhile & bring them back when things were calmer. Ya think?
  20. Absolutely! I mean, just look at Glo's facial expression! WHOA. And in case y'all don't have this https://www.welovesoaps.net/2015/07/remembering-woodbridge-the-secret-storm-1.html
