Sounds like there's been an unfortunate muddle, easy to happen when you have someone who likes to exploit his own fans.

I just want to say one thing. It is not at all uncommon for soap fans to discuss specific rapes when there is no question of there being a winnable legal case. Rape is an issue that stands on its own, with or without someone being charged, accused, indicted, found guilty, sentenced, etc. Rape is not only a legal issue. It is also a moral issue & a philosophical one, to boot. If the victim cannot give informed consent, it IS rape. There is no need for any further question or discussion about whether it is or not. By definition, it is. Any other situational aspects can of course be discussed. But not that one question. @ranger1rg you & I know each other. Does what I am saying make any kind of sense to you at all? Anyway, if this helps, good, and if not, just ignore me.

I would suggest that while Victor is dead-dead, that Spencer is only temporarily dead & most fans expect him to return from the dead. Some expect that to be NAC. Others expect a recast. And, there is some recent chatter that this may happen as soon as May. As Nik in prison is also temporary, it seems possible that in the near future if they decide to do so that there could be a Cassadine presence again. We will have to wait & see. Now where is this information coming from. A fan on NAC's Patreon says that right before he began filming with Ryan Murphy he told them he would be back after the filming. Some fans of the Willow family have said that recently they said on IG that Spencer would be back in May.

Yesterday an old friend caught me up on Mulcahey's work at B&B. I was watching for about 2 years then. I began with Karla Mosley's being hired as Maya but then didn't watch till the very end. So my friend said that besides writing dialogue that PM was the Story Consultant for Maya's Story. I would think that would have a lot in common with a HW's job. It made me get really excited but I have intentionally ratcheted it back to guarded optimism. Just afraid to get too excited. Seems there is safety in cynicism. But, I still have my fingers crossed. 🤞

Thanks for the event report. My understanding of why Adam Huss doesn't have a contract. They like him very much. They spent time reconsidering what to do with the Cassadines. Okay, but remember that this happened during the second consecutive unplanned dark week! No one was at the studio. Maybe they set it up online. But they were not physically in each other's presence unless they made a point to get together somewhere. And the original article said at least 25 cast members had signed it as of press time, possibly suggesting some more were going to sign it & they knew it. However, sure, I'm curious too.

I have become aware of some fans who are taking the burning of Horton House as an ill omen that the show is going to be ending soon. This is what I have posted about that. Don't attach any significance to this. It was Albert Alarr who did this! And it would have been one of the last things he did. So when he decided to put this into story & script he was under investigation for the second time in 2023. There was a huge fan campaign and petition to have him fired & 25 members of the cast had signed their own petition asking he be fired, as well. So, you know, come on, without a doubt that was his way of saying EFF You to the fans & the cast who were calling out his misdeeds! And I know it has been suggested that those of us who think this about Alarr are in need of psychoanalysis, but I just think that when there's smoke there's usually fire & this is what was going on when this would have been written in a script. (Notwithstanding whether any DAYS fans need to have their head shrunk or not.)

With the killing of Olivia Jerome, execution style, and Sonny giving Dex the choice to run or to be killed & his leaving Joss behind, it seems to me that suddenly the stakes are higher. If Dan & Chris were told on Wed. 1-17 and formally fired on Fri. 1-19 with the press being notified on Mon. 1-22, then, Patrick Mulcahey could have been talked with as early as Th. 1-18, is there any likely way he could've tweaked the script for yesterday?

I'm just looking at this for the first time. Just read of its existence last week. I can probably explain what happened in 1995. That was the year that RATS was split. RATS rec.arts.tv.soaps was all US soaps, each channel. There was a proposal to split it by channels. There was a vote & 3 new groups were voted in. RATSa, RATSc & RATSm standing for an ABC group, a CBS group & a miscellaneous group which is where NBC went & most of the traffic was NBC traffic. Formally the new groups were actually named: rec.arts.tv.soaps.abc rec.arts.tv.soaps.cbs rec.arts.tv.soaps.misc So in 1995 ATWT traffic for a period of time was duplicated, being both in RATS & also in RATSc. That made the volume of traffic artificially overinflated. Now, can anyone explain to me what the relationship is between this list & what is up on YouTube? Thanks!
