Apparently, his character, which never appeared in the animated film and is a newly written character, has now become a lightning (or is it lightening? ) rod for controversy.

LMAO at lightening. That doesn't surprise me. In most cases, that would be warranted, but since this film is not an adaptation of only the animated film, we know no details about the character (large/small role?), and they have created at least one more new character who is Middle-Eastern or at least played an actress who is, I don't think it's a problem -- yet.

Perhaps he's one of the suitors Jasmine's father brings in? Or a visiting Prince? A brand new storyline? An enemy? A rival? I need the details.

  2. I do like the beat, pre-chorus & chorus. Not crazy about the rapping but, hey, if I put up with it from Madonna and Kylie Minogue, I suppose it's fine   Most pop-stars have that moment. lol

Has Taylor Swift borne an uncanny resemblance to the '80s country-pop singer Juice Newton ("Angel of the Morning," "Queen of Hearts")?

No, and she also has no connection to Marcy Walker or Santa Barbara in any way whatsoever.

IMO, Theon's scenes were a waste. The character is awful and should have been killed off already. I dont see why Euron wouhld even keep Yara alive. I think and hope he was just f--king with Theon, whom learns she is dead in the first episode of the next, only to get killed off. He and his story seem so insignificant to the bigger picture and with 6 episodes left, they shouldnt waste any time on it. I hate that they didnt wrap it up here

Whoa, we really couldn't see it more differently, since I love Theon and have enjoyed his long, complicated journey. I suppose whether his story should exist at all is another matter, but since they did it, I'm happy they didn't drop it without a satisfying resolution. That still hasn't happened, but it's clear they are committed to it in the future. After all he's been through, he needs this.

It's true, Yara being alive is a long shot (that guy even said so), although Euron could have kept her alive because he gets sadistic pleasure out of it and/or, in the show's words, for a "bit of rape".

At the very least, whatever they do with this story will provide some variety from constant war/white walkers storyline next season. I think that's still important. And I wouldn't be surprised, if he saves Yara, that he unites the Ironborn under him and they join the fight too, only on the other side. So his story would merge with the main climax anyway.

As for the six episodes -- I expect supersized episodes anyway. I imagine (hope) the running time with rival almost as if it were 10 episodes

  4. Watching all these characters come together, some of them with serious ties to each other, some never sharing scenes before, was wonderful. Pure soap opera. The Tyrion/Cersei scene was a standout, like something out of Season 2. It felt false that Cersei didn't kill Tyrion and agreed to send soldiers to fight the White Walkers, so I was hugely relieved (and cursed her out) when she told Jaime it was all a ploy. Jaime's "I don't believe you" and walking out on her was another highlight.

Theon's scene with Jon and finally standing up for himself was hugely rewarding. To think this story has been going on since Season 2... I am glad they didn't give it up. I am glad he's going after Yara to save her. Great work by Allen. I guess being without genitals came in handy!

Another payoff: Sansa and Arya confronting Littlefinger and his execution. AG did marvelous work in those final moments too. That Ned Stark callback nearly brought me to tears.

The dragon tearing down the wall -- stunning. A great way to end the season. Kudos, again, for the SFX!

  5. She just created another video that will take her beyond a billion views, I think.

My favorite part was all the old Taylors. The snake serving tea (and I hate snakes). Here lies Taylor's reputation. The "shut up!"

It's brilliant marketing taking all the stuff people say about her and using it to make coins. Clearly, it bothers her, but she'll make dozens of millions from it, so that should help. She's got EVERYONE in the world talking about her with this song and video.

I do hope we don't see yet another 'experimental' album later this year though.

ETA: I watched the video, refreshed, and the view count went up by half a million. Insane.

  6. I was watching Bryan Cranston's episode on TALKING with Chris Hardwick yesterday.

He mentioned being on Loving for a couple of years, and during the trivia segment he said that the cast started calling the show "Leaving" since so many people were fired at the end of their 13 week contract.

    "Leaving" :lol:

  7. She'll release reputation magazines, two volumes, as Target exclusives, which will include handwritten lyrics, photos, posters, etc. as well as the album of course. I don't know if there's any difference between the two volumes but I'm going for the orange one lol
