Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
And it's also - if people are on the side of TRUTH and JUSTICE, that somehow means they're wrong, Erika? No. Just because you are friends with someone does not mean you have to blindly stand by them. If she's proven to have knowledge of what Tom Girardi allegedly did, then she's just as bad as he is and can sit all the way down and shut all the way up.

That's how I feel too. It's uneasy that there's been ZERO information. On the one hand, the show has invested in new sets - why would they ever bother to do that? On the other hand, is this why Sweeney agreed to return because she knew it was a finite period of time to give the show closure?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
He is so tone deaf it's astounding. And of course, he's a hypocrite. He is making excuses for people's 'political' or 'cultural' views, meanwhile he's done lord knows what to as many HWs and Bravo talent (ahem, Kathy Griffin) for much less important and far more personal reasons.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I agree that Janet is top tier in the supporting role of the Botox loving witty gossip who has few inhibitions and isn't afraid of anyone. I am going to maintain an open mind about the newbies in Melbourne - Gina was a driving force, but her last season she seemed different, more guarded and clearly hated Sally with a passion and just didn't want to film with her. Lydia is someone I didn't enjoy that much - I thought she treated her employees horribly and I just could not laugh at how tone deaf she was. I got to the point where I questioned whether the show had become too repetitive with Gina lashing out two or three times a season, to great impact. This reset is either going to ruin the show or give it a new lease on life so I'm going to stay open minded. I just hope it isn't ugly like Sydney was. For such a beautiful city, the women on that franchise were heinous in their behaviour.

I've been asking the same for a few months now and it's crickets. I can't recall the renewal ever being announced this late and I'm a little bit concerned.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
What a perfect analogy. I found the BH trailer better than expected - and I'll be tuning in but only on the premise that we'll be witnessing the fall of Erotica Lame. I can only hope the editors feel the breeze changing as the evidence starts mounting against her (like last week when documents were discovered, apparently signed by Erika, that placed priority of a lender to Tom Girardi ahead of her own status as a spouse...). I'm glad to see Sutton get a diamond after she, Garcelle and Denise carried last season on their backs. Really looking forward to the Kathy Hilton FOH role. As @Soaplovers said Kyle is always overshadowed by someone and it'll be a delight to see Kathy naturally overshadow her. NJ I am loving this season. The production company hit it out of the park given they filmed right in the middle of the pandemic. I like that everyone has some skin in the game and that the group as a whole can move on from some of the pettier crap and still laugh. The importance of the husbands cannot be overstated - sometimes they *make* the show. DALLAS I tuned into this last episode to see what everyone was discussing re Kari and yeah...she's a terrible person. I haven't ever liked her and found her hard to watch always, but this reinforced it. I think this season has lost all of its momentum and I think this franchise might need to be put out to pasture. It's always struggled and this season has been markedly worse outside of the Mama D scenes which are, as always, soap opera gold. ATL For me, Marlo is a joy to watch and her appearances can make even a mediocre episode fun. However, I think this season is weird with so many people ducking in and out of the show like Tanya, Fallon, LaToya etc. The cast feels unstable. I also think Cynthia's time is up - that wedding was an appalling Covid caper and I just don't see what she brings to the show anymore. I think they need to bring back Sheree and Phaedra next season.

AMC Alum Joins General Hospital
Of all people...he seems like a decent person but the GH cast is bloated and he's certainly not needed.

This Jen Shah news is both shocking and not surprising. Her lifestyle made no sense at all. The Federal Prosecutors do not play around and the supposed tea that members of the Glam Squad were undercover agents is incredible.

As I thought. There was no way she was leaving without getting paid. CBS knew they had no grounds to fire her and that she knows where a lot of bodies are buried.

The Talk: Discussion Thread
There is no way on earth Sharon hasn't either had the balance of her contract paid or reached a settlement of some kind with CBS. She lawyered up very quickly and the last two weeks have very likely been solely focused on Sharon's exit package. That's exactly the problem. CBS has miscalculated this from a business decision - not only will the news cycle have moved on but nobody is going to care about the show because all of the 'heat' this controversy brought disappears into thin air when Sharon doesn't return.

Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread
Indeed - The Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine is being widely used in the UK, and is also in use in Canada and Mexico, as well as throughout Europe (with some countries pausing use while they investigate blood clots which were not found to be problematic in the US trials). Currently, the US has millions of AstraZeneca doses which it can't use because the FDA hasn't cleared it for use, so the Biden administration has generously made some of these doses available to Mexico (2.5 million) and Canada (1.5 million) before they expire.

Days: 3/22/2021 Weekly Preview
+1 - this is the latest DAYS has gone without a renewal announcement and the way things are currently, if they're cancelled they have more than enough time to wrap up their storylines neatly for September.

Days: March 2021 Discussion Thread
My question is what's spurring on the new sets? 1. DAYS has yet to announce a renewal and as far as I know this is the latest the show has gone without a renewal announcement. 2. The existing sets were acceptable as is. Y&R and B&B have maintained so many of their sets for decades - what is the benefit for DAYS to spend money recreating existing sets when the show has struggled with its budget for years?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NJ Tonight was such a perfect example of why I love this franchise. It had touches of drama, family, and humour. Key to this is the major role the husbands all take. When Bill was hauling Jennifer out of the party and the two Joe’s came to help him? I laughed so hard.

Harry and Meghan Interview with Oprah
I ask this seriously: where is the evidence that Prince Andrew is a pedophile? He has not been charged or convicted of anything. I’m not a fan of his, but everyone is entitled to due process under the law.

BRAVO: Vanderpump Rules
Not a surprise at all. Anyone who'd believe Jax would walk away from a healthy paycheque mid-pandemic with a baby on the way is kidding themselves. I'm sure he's letting his non-compete run and then he and Brittney will do the usual post-Bravo marathon of second tier reality shows on WE and Lifetime in order to pay the rent. LVP is being smart with the transparency over the current status of the show as not being picked up (yet).

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Ugh. This is why I did not bother with continuing with RHOD after the first two episodes. It was pretty clear that Tiffany was going to be targeted and I could not stomach these ignorant women going after her. I don't watch Housewives to see so much ugliness reflected. Leanne was fired for racist behaviour, what of all of these women (sans D'Andra)?

I really like the U Mask - it's very lightweight and the fabric is comfortable. Formula 1 uses them and I bought the McLaren team mask. It has a filter that's inserted and useable for 200 hours, and then is replaced.

Harry and Meghan Interview with Oprah
The Letters Patent of King George date back to 1917. They are the reason that Archie is not styled a Prince. The Queen had to issue her own Letter Patent when George was born to provide for William's children to have titles. None of the Queen's other great grandchildren have titles (Princess Eugenie and Princess Anne's children Peter and Zara all have untitled children) but because William's are in the direct order of succession, the Queen made an exception for them. Harry and Meghan lied about their security in Canada. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (the Canadian federal police agency) provided 24/7 protection to them while they lived on Vancouver Island fully at the expense of the Canadian taxpayer. However, that was provided under a mutual recognition arrangement with the UK's Metropolitan Police, so once the UK pulled their officers, the Canadian government advised Harry and Meghan that their police protection in Canada would end unless they paid for it privately. That is when they went to California. The only correction I'd make there is Harry inherited 10.5 million UK sterling from his mother when she died. That is equivalent to $27,000,000 USD in today's money.

Stars who didn't conquer TV
I wonder why this bombed? It was on the right network (CBS) and had the right kind of launch (2 hour movie event), with a generally well liked personality (Ann-Margret) produced by a prime time soap veteran (David Jacobs) - on paper it had all the ingredients. An episode of Good Sports is on YouTube. It is very obvious that Farrah displays a very easy, natural on-air charm that lent itself to a sitcom role. While she was certainly capable of leading a sitcom, I think the she would have been wonderful in an ensemble show. O'Neal was just awful and unlikeable. Faye Dunaway and O'Neal have something in common: they're unlikeable personalities and any light hearted or good natured performance rings absolutely false. The pace of sitcoms is such that the actor has to infuse a lot of themselves into the part - the 22 minutes of each episode doesn't lend much time to huge amounts of character exposition, so sometimes the personality of the performer is key to fleshing out parts of the character that the script doesn't. Alternatively, some actors just can't help but play themselves, especially in a fast paced production before a studio audience. And when that personality is unlikeable the result are disastrous.

AW aired in Canada before any other soap got onto a Canadian network (it is not uncommon for American soaps to switch Canadian networks over the years - AMC, for instance, aired on CBC, CTV, and CTV2 over the years).
