  1. NYC What a great episode. Ratings be damned, this season is awesome and by far superior to what BH put out this year. The inconsistency between these franchises is terrible. Carole's house in Beverly Hills...incredibly bijou and unique. Carole seemed happier in California. Josh laying it out there for Sonja...yeah, she's delusional, but not everyone is suited to the basic interrogation Josh gave her. He's hard charging, which is why he's successful, but he isn't someone who could work with a delicate flower like Sonja. She is from a different generation when some women aspired to be taken care of from marriage to grave. And that's Sonja and what she's actually suited to do. I thought it bizarre that Aviva was out of the credits. LuAnn is a housewife. She has just as much airtime and is my favourite to watch because her interactions are great fun. That she isn't in the credits is nonsense. Ramona and Kristin. Obviously Ramona is a crazy jerk for throwing her glass (and oars) at Kristin... But Kristin is a dumbass for provoking Ramona knowing that she is likely to fight back. Kristin reminds me of a child poking a cat who then acts surprised when the cat scratches back. I will also say this: I'd have ordered in an air conditioner too.
  2. That was the thing, Gina came off as very defensive, which she usually doesn't, the control afforded by the talking head interviews not being present at the reunion. Andrea and Lydia were working as a team, they'd pre-planned what they wanted to try and say and Andrea's ludicrous tears at once being in overdraft when launching her business was a joke. Every cruel jab at Andrea's skill as a parent is deserved. She asked for it with her self serving, pat on the back book idea.
  3. RH of Melbourne "Andrea says I have a vulgar mouth, I think Andrea has a vulgar heart." - Gina. "She basically has a prostitutes mentality, she sells herself for money." - Gina, on Lydia, as Lydia's jowls shook. "Take your husbands away and you'd have nothing." - Gina, on Andrea and Lydia. "You are an insignificant ass hair." - Gina, on Andrea. Jackie + Janet = Adorable. Janet reminds me of Carmen Duncan from AW. Andrea really has no grasp of legalities. That email/letter said absolutely nothing about any of them being sued or served with a lawsuit. Chyka was the only one who interpreted it correctly and read the situation perfectly. We all know Lydia's an idiot so the less said about her the better. Andrea is so delusional, saying that she's "moved on" and that Gina's subsequent comments about her on the Mission Beach trip were what really bothered her...give me a break. She has had an axe to grind with Gina from day one and considering they knew each other before the show that's pretty pathetic. I give Janet a lot of credit for how she laughed off Gina's comments about her. Although she is a bit flighty, Janet does strike me as someone who forgives easily and gets on with life. She's old school that way and I appreciate it. Chyka was a lot more active in the reunion than I expected and she rocked it. I don't think Gina got a bad edit, the reunion moderator was trying to keep order and keep the show moving.
  4. They don't even caption LuAnn as a "Friend of the Housewives"... She is a wonderful addition to the cast. Why she isn't holding an apple is beyond me, she is as much a member of the cast as anyone else and frankly she is one of the more entertaining ones to watch.
  5. NYC... I get the feeling Sonja, LuAnn, Ramona, Carole and Aviva all knew around this time about Ramona and Mario's marriage. Just a hunch. Kristin is a sweet girl with a middling career and a barely average apartment but I like her because she is a nice balance to the luxury and money the others have. There is an economic diversity in NYC that doesn't seem cheap (in comparison to BH with Kim and Brandi's crappy houses). Sonja is really deluded and needs a a manager...if she had a viable idea or career, which she does not. Ramona should have expected Kristin to fight back, why would she resist? Carole's apartment is very bijou and interesting...but she should keep her kitchen. The contrast between spa experiences was pretty amusing. I am just loving LuAnn this season. She seems so relaxed and happy and her straightforward approach is wonderful. I'm glad she told Sonja she thought she was a bitch for what she was saying and telling Aviva she didn't have to take a position. Speaking of whom, Aviva has a nice little family there. Reid always seems like he's about to burst, mind you, and seems focused on being as 'cool' as Harry but it seems to be working. Next week looks good. I still wonder if it is the glass that draws blood from Kristin and not the canoe.
  6. Oh...I cannot wait.
  7. What an epic moment in this franchise. We have been absolutely on the same page about this franchise, what a great one it has been!
  8. RH of Melbourne! What a satisfying conclusion. Just like RHOV Season 1, this show had 10 episodes of perfection that had a beginning, middle and end to a delicious arc where all scores are settled. Janet was held to account and exposed as a big gossip who, to her credit, copped to all of it and got over slagging off Gina. Janet may have been the oldest cast member, but she is certainly young at heart, in both positive and negative ways. Chyka continues to be the gold standard in straight shooting, kind, fresh and fun. I like that she said to Janet that she needed to watch her gossipy ways. Chyka is very fair and that was welcome. Jackie, hilarious as always with her kooky ways. She got very lucky finding her husband, they are a very natural fit, and she seems appreciative of it all. Lydia continues to think she is more important, smarter and hotter than she is. And she's also quite the bitch as she imitated the other ladies posing at Andrea's book shoot. She should well know that the 'skinny arm' pose isn't Chyka's trademark...with her thick arms it should be Lydia's standard. Thick arms, thick waist, thick head. Andrea...what a humourless bitch. Gina concludes on top, fabulous and unapologetic. What a winner. What a great season, the reunion should be spicy.
  9. RHOC Shannon...I knew I called it right. She is insufferable and that marriage of hers is one that is going to implode before the decade is over. Vicki, Tamra, Heather...they're all enjoyable to me. OC is the OG of this franchise and it's never a chore to watch. And I appreciate that after enduring BH.
  10. RHNYC Aviva...what a nutjob, but what an epic nutjob for this franchise. She is a delight in her single white female craziness. Her compulsions and hypocritical behaviour rocks each episode. We love to watch this brand of crazy don't we? Because it isn't dangerous like Kelly Bensimon...it is laughable. The scenes with Heather and her husband and son when they found out about his ears? Authentic housewives at its best. That little guy has been through the ringer, as have Heather and Jonathan. Do I ever wish them well. Carole bores me to be perfectly honest. But for this fight with Aviva I honestly don't know what she's got going for her on this show. The look on her face when Aviva whipped out the galley edition of her book was priceless. She was horrified. Ramona, I think, was in the midst of Mario cheating on her when this was filmed because when she and Sonja were sorting out their conflict Sonja said "I guess you're just taking it out on me." Speaking of Sonja...who I have always found enjoyable...girlfriend is delusional as hell. A crowd of 10,000 would come to see her in Mykonos? Bookings in Berlin and St. Tropez? I really don't think so. She doesn't see any of her ideas through. Harry, Ramona, LuAnn...all of whom like her, all said it to her face. Flipping out about that was defensive and stupid. LuAnn...perfection. She is a housewife, she should be holding an apple. She is divine this season. Hell, the captions don't even refer to her as a friend of the housewives. Kristin... Meh. She's pretty, but not adding much except being a punching bag for Aviva and Ramona. But what a great season so far after the awful BH season we all endured.
  11. I can't get over how tragic Nene's wigs and/or weaves are. They look so incredibly cheap, she can't afford a lace front?
  12. Somewhere in that part of Bel Air that's a helluva lot closer to Sherman Oaks than Beverly Hills, Kyle just died a little inside. And somewhere else in Malibu Yolanda just looked like she sucked a lemon. And somewhere in a (rented) house in the Hollywood Hills, Brandi is kicking herself for torching her best relationship on the show.

#Shade Well played. I'm here for Meredith, Star and Rosie.
  14. Jody is truly hated in Vancouver. And we all know why. Christina was fabulous and truly funny, and she balanced out the ugliness of RHOV provided by Jody and to a lesser extent the crumbling of Ronnie and Mary's friendship. She was necessary, and production didn't replace that element she brought with Ioulia or (that cow) Amanda. The producers also screwed up by not bringing back Reiko, who left her husband and embarked on a lesbian affair, that would have made for great television.
  15. In RHOV's case...likely axed because... 1) Jody received death threats from a friend of Mary's which were investigated by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police 2) Jody's store was stink and smoke bombed by animal rights activists And the thought of finding replacement wives in Vancouver was slim to none, it's a small town, socially, and so many relationships were destroyed by the show, though I do wonder if Ronnie and Mary won't find their way back to each other now that Ronnie's marriage is over. Allegedly, her husband cheated on her.
  16. I love your insight into Melbourne too, and I have the same concern you do about season 2, Vancouver just fell apart like some shrieking, toxic monster, it got way too personal, way too nasty, and it died a grizzly death with Jody Claman shrieking at a tea party with a crown on her head like a bipolar hyena. PS: Ronnie Negus is getting divorced from her husband, making RHOV the only franchise to have 100% of the wives divorced.
  17. I am just loving this franchise. It is impeccable. Andrea is such a horrible bitch, she mustn't be very self aware because her behaviour is just destroying any image she was attempting to cultivate from this show. Lydia IS brainless, so I wish Janet hadn't softened what she said to her face. That was either intentional softening or recall failure (Janet is 55 after all) on Janet's part...but I do give her credit for copping to judging Lydia...it's just that Janet fails to realize she judged Lydia perfectly. She's an Andrea ass kissing idiot who is beyond oblivious to how different her life is from her housekeeper who seemed like a lovely lady..."she's my housefriend" made me cringe. Jackie is fun, so is her husband, I like Jackie and Janet together, they're fun. That's Jackie's role and she plays it brilliantly. She is over the top but seems ernest. Chyka is fab. Kind, relaxed, fair, smart, hard working, and a straight shooter. What's not to like? Gina continues her streak of fabulous. She seems like a ball of fun, her date with that guy was excellent material, she seems way less intense than at first glance. She's a good sport and she doesn't give a flying fig about Andrea. That said, I don't like how she said "friendship over" with Janet, someone she's known for 20 years, when Janet called her on behaviour that would put people off. I think the Andrea/Gina conflict is twofold: the 'legal email' and then when Gina referred to Andrea and Lydia as the c-word. I can see how it would irritate them both, but I also think Andrea, in particular, deserves it all, and more.
  18. LuAnn is a 'Friend of the Housewives' in name only...she has had more visibility this season than Kristin, Sonja and Ramona. Jill and Alex should be brought back, which would mean dropping Kristin and demoting Sonja to 'Friend' status...but that would be a wicked cast for next season. RHOC Anyone else not like Shannon? She is a bit too 'California' for my liking... Vicki is always such a hilarious mess, Tamra's gym should give her plenty of storyline, Heather's house is over the top and her placeholder rental is eerily like Lynne's house that she got evicted from. I hated Gretchen so didn't miss her sorry ass at all, nor did I miss Lydia.
  19. I love watching Chyka too. They'd be really foolish to not have her back for next season, she is delightful to watch and easily the most relatable. I think it helps when we see the women with their families like we did in Vancouver. I'm a broken record, but Melbourne and Vancouver, for my money, are pitch perfect iterations of the RH franchise. Bravo should be looking to their international editions to see how these shows can really be done. I just love Jackie now that she's given Gina a fair shake. She's hilarious.
  20. RH of Melbourne Gina's triumphant return at Chyka's party was a thing of beauty not because of how she behaved, but because by talking to Andrea's husband, she unwittingly exposed the fact that Andrea keeps BIG secrets from her husband about her disgusting behaviour. Interestingly, RHOBH's Lisa reached out to Gina on Twitter and the two had a nice little exchange: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2601186/Lisa-Vanderpump-reaches-lend-support-Gina-Liano-amid-Real-Housewives-Of-Melbourne-war.html Andrea was the most delusional housewife I have ever seen, across any franchise (including that pig Jody Claman) when she went to that meeting with the publisher who mercilessly shot down her (horrible) book idea. Andrea just seems so angry, bitter and full of false pride about her 'fabulous life' and how everyone else wants to be her. Let's face it, she has dodgy teeth, thick legs and for the wife a plastic surgeon, an unfortunate default facial expression. Lydia is gross. She just seems like a dumbass with no sense of timing or sophistication. There are ways to be a saucy minx (see Christina Kiesel of RHOV) without coming across like a drunken slag. Janet's story about her son is so sad, the burns he has suffered are very, very intense. I like that when she said "If I had to sell everything I owned I wouldn't think twice about it" I could believe her. I think Janet is old school and although she is a gossip, she has her redeeming features. Chyka is a really nice lady who seems to really have it all together: a healthy attitude, a good heart, a loving and fun husband and a thriving business. Jackie continues to be a hoot. Her lingerie shopping was great, as was her absolute obliviousness to how badly her alcohol business is actually going. She lucked out with her husband, they seem an ideal match.
  21. Nene has been looking absolutely dreadful from all the pictures I've seen posted. Her wigs and weaves haven't looked this cheap in years. I'm shocked to hear that she has turned down paying acting work. She is going to pull a David Caruso with her career.
  22. RH of Melbourne was so good. In fact, I'm going to watch the episode again right now. Janet is a gossip, but she is straightforward with Gina and I think Gina gets Janet. Chyka, she is wonderful, a totally decent person who strives to be really fair. Andrea is such a bitter bitch. Lydia is a puffy faced cow. Jackie is a hilarious kook. Gina is a fabulous diva. She is a force of nature. The show is shot so beautifully, the music is near identical to that used in Vancouver and the arc is so perfect. And it's only 10 episodes, so we're going to have a fabulous run for the next 3 episodes. I think the seasons being too long is killing BH and the rest.
  23. Damn. That was unconscious shade on my part.
