  1. Good grief. I certainly hope Phaedra didn't know...but if she did...that she covered her ass expertly. That said, a spouse cannot be compelled to testify against his or her spouse, so unless the authorities actively pursue Phaedra on charges, she would be wise to wait thing thing out and once Apollo is behind bars, divorce him and move on.
  2. RHOBH I nearly thought it was going to be a Kim free episode...and then...out of nowhere, she emerges. Ugh. Joyce and her gun and her tubby hubby. Whatever. I now realize Joyce reminds me of a young Charo. So everything about her is hilarious to me now. Give her twenty years, this is her future... Kyle and her Big Fat Jewish Dinner...whatever. Maybe she's always done it. The fact she had a chef teaching her how to do says otherwise. Lisa, as always, fabulous. Even in workout wear. A perfect 10. Yolanda was extremely gracious in Sacramento and hit just the right note with Brandi's family, she was right to choose her over Lisa who would have been too different for them to handle. Lisa is high octane glamorous, and glamour isn't always approachable. Brandi...what an angry lush.
  3. Kyle? Quit? For Kim? Not on your life. To quote Joan Rivers: "She'd spit on the ground and drown her mother in it."
  4. Well wait...people have actually believed Kim is sober? Really? As far as I can tell she is functioning a lot better, but sober? Nah. I never bought it, particularly in regard to pills. Lisa is entertaining and provides balance against the trashy drama because she is good humoured and glamorous. Good point, JackPeyton, about Joyce only being able to handle Brandi because she flies off the handle. Someone controlled, like Carlton, vanquished her in under 5 minutes. I really hope they fire Kim. She is such a waste of screentime, and Kyle should go with her. Camille repaired her image but she still brought some heat. "We don't say he hits you, but now we've said it!"...that was epic. And they should rehire Taylor. New bride, new life, she is a helluva lot more relevant than half the cast.
  5. RHOBH... So incredibly boring this week, as others have said succinctly it just feels like a bunch of filler surrounding a non-existent story. So much Kim, way too much Kim...a housewife whose usefulness to the show ended after season 2. I could not believe how idiotic she was with Ken, acting like he said something out of line when, newsflash Kim, you even admitted in your talking head that you missed a ton of events...she is such a baby, not taking responsibility for the fact that her sorry, alcoholic ass couldn't be bothered to film half the time because she "didn't have a choice"...yes, you did Kim, and you chose to drink. The scenes with Kyle were reminiscent of the "Kyle and Kim have a facial where Kyle looks like she's wearing a scary hockey mask scenes from the first or second season" (to be repeated with Joyce this season)...who cares? No Yolanda this week, and the sad truth is, I didn't even notice because even Yolanda's fabulousness gets sucked under the budget aesthetic of this season. Lisa could very easily be a 32D. Her house never ceases to look spectacular. I love how Ken is SO over these hags. The Kim v Lisa thing was unbelievably stupid. They sent her a gift, RSVP'd that they weren't coming in advance, were OUT OF THE STATE the day of it, got back at night and didn't feel like dragging themselves to a party hosted by someone who has never been fond of Lisa. Not once have Kim and Lisa ever really gotten along. It's odd how neither of the Richards sisters can fathom the fact that someone doesn't like them and doesn't pretend otherwise. Joyce and Brandi...just plain stupid. Brandi is foul, but Joyce didn't come off much better this episode, particularly when she buckled after a three sentence exchange with Carlton, who really doesn't fit in.
  6. Totally makes sense to me. I think LuAnn is quite guarded about her personal life...we hardly saw a thing about her divorce from the Count...and what we do see is what she wants us to see, so as a main character she is sort of cardboard...but when she just gets to observe and interact in the moment, she flies.
  7. I loved LuAnn's affair in St Barth's...that had to be real, she did too much to cover it up for it not to be...but yes,the "pregnancy" and feud with Ramona was generated for story. I think LuAnn will excel as an official Friend of the Housewives.
  8. That was Sonja's finest hour...the way she dismissed Aviva, looked her square in the eye and said (and meant) that she didn't give a damn about her opinion and that she didn't need her in her life, as Aviva sputtered like a Pinto, was awe inspiring. Sonja, when sober, is razor sharp. I loved Season 5 too and I think the cast really gelled. I'm excited for this season after the lacklustre one we've had with RHOBH.
  9. I don't think Ramona hates herself/other women. I just don't see her as the jealous type. I think she appreciates that she 'made it' and has absolutely no filter about her social interactions with others. It might be that she had to be really controlled and quiet and deferential to her abusive father...as in the first half of her life was spent being very quiet, so the second half of her life was going to be spent being very loud. I do like Heather too because she *really* doesn't let anyone screw her over. And she does it with a smile on her face. And quietly. Very smart.
  10. Right, but the same team that produces RHOBH produces Vanderpump Rules with Lisa and Ken, so it isn't as if Lisa's working with her enemies, they have a symbiotic relationship between them, they need each other to keep the shows going. I see what you're saying re: Kyle's attitude seemingly directing coverage...and if that's the case, then someone better act quickly because it has been a bad season, very disappointing in terms of production value, casting and storylines. I am still stunned at how much useless filler featuring Kim there has been this season. Half a season's storyline...about a dumb dog.
  11. Oh I don't think Lisa's position at Bravo has changed...Vanderpump Rules is performing well, Andy always encourages drama with her at the reunions (to see how she crushes people with a single sentence and flick of her bejewelled hand, I think), and the "Lisa Gets the 'Bitch Edit' Campaign" has been going on since the beginning of last season and it just doesn't work because Lisa has the audience behind her. I think the breaking point with Lisa/Yolanda/Brandi is going to be ugly and messy, but I don't think it's really going to diminish my opinion of Lisa or Yolanda. the only thing that's changed is Kyle has gotten a very bland edit. I wouldn't say it's friendly or 'nice'...it's bland, she hasn't given the editors anything to use against her, and that's smart (a la Camille) but that act can only go on for so long, and then she'll crack and be back to the loathsome cow she has proven herself to be for years.
  12. THAT is how you do 54. And in case anyone cares to know how she does it: Lisa admits to "a lot" of Botox, "a little" filler, topical Retin-A and a physical sunscreen.
  13. It has seriously deteriorated visually...considering it was visually the most appealing, so much so that the executives at RHOV consulted with the producers of RHOBH to get the production model right (with glorious results), it has really deteriorated...and why is that? Carlton's house looks like a half empty Broyhill showroom, Brandi's (rented) house is a half empty Ikea filled dump, Kim's (rented?) house is a dump filled with relics of her 1990s wealth, Kyle's store looks like a Marshall's and we have only seen Joyce's house once when she was cooking her family breakfast...that leaves only Lisa and Yolanda, and they live fabulously...but 2/6 isn't enough.
  14. Yes, the reunions really are 'Pile on Lisa' events and Andy is always there doing it...which I always find kind of odd given that he seems to like her a lot and credits her with RHOBH's success (much to Kyle's chagrin). The issue is, whenever people go after Lisa, it doesn't end well for them. Kyle, Adrienne, Faye, Dana...they all crossed her and paid for it.
  15. It is a credit to LuAnn that I can recall exactly how/when/where/how she said that line. It was devastating. Even though she can be horrendously nasty, I love LuAnn, I think she's an extreme person, if she's for you, she's really for you. The way she let Sonja lean on her when she took down those paintings illustrated that. Brandi is a lunatic. Do we know all of our best friend's friends? I sure as hell don't. She is going to really try and go for Lisa at the reunion. It isn't going to end well for Brandi. That Housewives cheque doesn't last forever.
  16. The NY trailer looks EPIC. And I bet I'm going to love Luann as a Friend of the Housewives...it seems like she's going to be the Faye of this show.
  17. RHOBH... Joyce has come alive in the last three episodes...Brandi's irrational hatred of her is the best thing that could have happened to her for storyline purposes, otherwise she would have been one of the dullest housewives ever. But now, she is a hair tossing, pageant queen, Puerto Rican diva who takes no nonsense from no one. She has become the most relevant housewife on the show in the span of three episodes. Kyle, for whatever reason, is looking particularly aged in her talking head interviews, she might just be pulling odd facial expressions that she thinks are 'cute'...whatever. It was such a pleasure to see Jamie Lee Curtis, who I think is just dynamite, but I had to laugh as Kyle and Mauricio bought their way into LA society, at least for a couple of weeks, with that $100,000 donation. That said, at least it was to a good cause and not a new car. Lisa looked STUNNING at the fashion show and she was one of the audience members. She can wear a pair of cigarette pants like nobody's business. She just radiates glamour. And I agree with Lisa about Joyce's husband, Ken would have done exactly the same thing, to his credit. Lisa's already scotched Kim's stupid claims for next week's episode about skipping Kimberly's graduation (she invited Lisa? someone she openly dislikes? to her daughter's graduation party?) and being in town by posting a link to the alopecia event in Missouri that she was at the weekend of the party. Kim remains as irrelevant as ever. I cannot fathom how the editors at Bravo thought we wanted to see this much filler about Kim's dumb dog. Carlton is also irrelevant, but at least she does something different (though always within the same sphere of witchcraft, tattoos and swearing) in each episode. Unless something drastically changes, I think Carlton is safely a one season wonder. And she should take Kim with her. I would so have preferred Taylor stay on the show, even if she is basically living in Colorado these days, she could have hosted one heck of a girl's weekend. Yolanda gave it the old college try with Brandi, but it's clearly falling on deaf ears. Yolanda is a good friend in that she is quick to defend, but also realistic in how she handles Brandi after she's cooled down. I would say that, between Yolanda and Lisa, it is actually Yolanda who is maternal to Brandi. Lisa is more of an etiquette teacher to Brandi, one Brandi has rebelled against. Brandi. She is a dumb, messy, drunk, whose also probably struggling with her mental health, if not an addiction or two. I don't know what it is, but something is definitely off with Brandi. Her racist statements to Joyce are absolutely ridiculous, her zero to sixty behaviour implodes her credibility and her general ratchet behaviour is either a symptom of something else very wrong in her life (and the Leann and Eddie excuse is wearing very thin, it's been YEARS) or the reason her life is the way it is, who knows who Brandi really is.
  18. Could not have said it better myself. Especially since you omitted any mention of Kim who is becoming more irrelevant as each episode goes by. Carlton doesn't fit and she doesn't work on the show. A once and done cast member if there ever was one. Re: Yolanda's acne. Take it from me, gentle cleanser, salicylic acid gel or lotion and benzoyl peroxide are the gold standard. In a pinch the visine trick could work to reduce some redness since it constricts blood vessels. But acne is better prevented and that is through daily routine. I thought Lisa looked gorgeous and her poor friends Martin and Mohammed having to tolerate Brandi's offensive antics.
  19. Why wouldn't Lisa stand on her own? She is The Queen, someone who has lived life, been there, done that, bought the t-shirt and is unimpressed with other people's nonsense. If it appears she is above the rest of the women, it's simply because she is superior to them. And yes, she is absolutely over them, they're petty women who bring nothing to her life. Lisa is in her mid 50s and has been at the game called 'life' long enough to know that it isn't worth it.
  20. Another yawn inducing episode of RHOBH... Carlton bores me with her pseudo BDSM obsession, I'd be so creeped out if I were her nanny. Her body looks so old and sinewy and that face of hers has seen better days. Joyce...can't be bothered with her because she is guarding her picture perfect image like a hawk onscreen...if she's able to let loose at the reunion, so be it and maybe, just maybe, she'll make herself relevant. Kyle...yawn. She is such a whiney loser, highlighting the 'hearts' issue of the placecards, she is itching for a fight. Kim. Her entire storyline is centred around a stupid dog. Need I say more? The most irrelevant housewife in RH franchise history. Lisa, per usual, is glorious and delightful to watch. Yolanda, and her amazing fridge, also was a delight to watch. Brandi...messy, idiotic, poorly aged, alcohol abusing, bimbo.
  21. I have missed Taylor/Shana/Armstrong/Ford the moment I saw Joyce who is so dull and pointless I can't even begin to describe my disappointment in her. Taylor was a mess, but last season she proved herself to be a HILARIOUS mess, especially when drunk and with nothing left to lose. She was liberated once Russell died, she was broke and Adrienne had thrown her to the wolves. Her slurring, middle finger in the air antics were excellent. And just looks at Wendy's face...she can't believe Brandi's said all that mess. Brandi is so over.
  22. RHOBH: Yawn. Basically, this episode was a snooze after the first ten minutes wrapped up last week's drama. The only enjoyable part of the episode was Lisa dismissing Kim to exit stage left as she stumbled around her bathroom with her skirt half off. Lisa looked STUNNING lying on the bed talking to Kyle, and even more delicious as she waltzed away once Kim started making an ass of herself. For someone who is sober, Kim has a really messy personality, poor recognition of social cues and bad manners. I don't need to hear Carlton describe her Wiccan faith as "sacred" one more time. I think I counted 4 'sacred's this episode. Also, much as I like Carlton I can't help but notice how rough her face looks. So terribly thin and wrinkled. Joyce. Boring. Kyle. Whatever. Her tears just reinforce that something has happened with Mauricio in the past...there's no logical alternative explanation for her theatrics about tabloid reports. That she sobbed her way into a reconciliation with Yolanda (she crumbled fast) just makes me roll my eyes. Yolanda gives Brandi a bit too much a free pass on her drunken behaviour, I know I couldn't stand to be around someone who gets as sloppy and insulting as Brandi does when she's had too much to drink. Faye Resnick was a total sh*tbag cow, but at least she was haughty about it and her presence would have likely raised the stakes in terms of conflict. She would have started insulting Brandi way before she went in on Kyle. She's evil, but I miss Faye. You know things are getting dire on the show when an episode's cliffhanger is Brandi driving back to Los Angeles to try and find her dog...gripping? I didn't think so.
  23. This is the end of the career road for Gretchen and Slade. What a relief. Soon, they'll be obscure nobodies, just as they always should have been.
  24. I think it will go beyond Lisa vs Brandi. I think it will be every Housewife against each other, even Lisa vs Yolanda. And I will choose Lisa every time.
