  1. Joan, at 81, in Cannes. Happy Birthday to the most glamorous woman in the world.
  2. +1. We are absolutely on the same page when it comes to NYC. I have always been a LuAnn fan, but she is a freakin' delight this season.
  3. DaytimeFan replied to YRBB's topic in Off Topic Lounge
All I can say is after watching/enduring Barbara's last show...Connie Chung looks absolutely fabulous.
  4. Yes! That's exactly how I see it. They were both at fault in this instance!
  5. Now there's a girl with a great sense of humour. Love it.
  6. I really hope Lisa quits RHOBH so that I don't have to endure another season of BH with Kyle, Kim and Brandi...
  7. LuAnn is rocking it this season. I've always loved her, and this season I love her even more. Poor Sonja has lost the plot. She needs her finances sorted and to be put on an allowance and not have access to credit cards. She needs managing.
  8. +1. I agree with you on every count. LuAnn is the MVP of this season. She is a delight to watch, she makes every scene she's in good.
  9. I am with you on the host. He seemed to be gunning for Gina. It's weird to see a host be like that. Andy does that with Lisa every year at the BH reunions and I always wonder why. Andrea was smirking, but going in on Gina accomplished nothing in terms of Andrea being proven correct. Andrea is still a harpy with bad teeth. Yes, Season 2 was confirmed this past week by Arena/FoxTel. I'd like to see Lydia dropped over Andrea, because at least Andrea can go toe to toe with Gina (failing hard mind you) while Lydia is just too stupid to comprehend what's going on. I'm not too sure about a new girl, I don't want to see Melbourne go down the road Vancouver did and die a grisly death.
  10. RH of Melbourne This was a bad episode for Gina because she was exposed. She tried very hard to tap dance around the truth and rely on semantics, but it didn't fly. The video footage just didn't lie. That said, it did not support Andrea's ridiculous behaviour because nothing Gina was exposed for saying had anything to do with Andrea. Therefore, Andrea remains a totally humourless bitch and an absolute psychopath obsessed with Gina and hatred of her. Chyka was fab as usual, but far more restrained this episode. Interesting that she acknowledged how she, for certain, the 6th housewife. I really hope she comes back for the next season because she's been a delight to watch. Jackie was fiery and dramatic this episode, but I do think she was a bit over the top with walking off the set. Lydia IS an idiot, just because she can fly a plane doesn't make her intelligent. And she's not hot. Janet remains a firm favourite of mine because she is very straightforward and cops to everything. Sure, she 'gilds the lily'...but she didn't let anyone try and pull a fast one. Thrilled there will be a season 2, I hope the cast doesn't change one bit.
  11. OC This week was dull. I really don't care to see Vicki and Brooks together because he is Kentucky Fried Sleaze and it just doesn't reflect well on her. Tamra and Eddie...manufactured storyline. Unnecessary. Tamra is in her late 40s now? She's past it for a baby, we all know this. It isn't quite as preposterous as Countess LuAnn trying for a baby with Jacques, but it's pretty ridiculous. Lizzie. She has a business, kids, a normal house, a bolder personality...we'll see how she does, too early to call. Heather and Terry are a great match. They can be such delightful snobs together with their matching sweaters. Shannon and her husband and their crumbling marriage. Yeah, I just don't care. That St Regis Hotel at Monarch Bay has gotten so much promotion courtesy of RHOOC over the year's it's crazy. I miss the incredible Jeana. And struggling Tammy. And crazy ass Quinn. And debt ridden Lynne. And shady ass Laurie. Those women popped, in some of the best/worst ways.
  12. Agree to disagree. Neither one of them is blameless.
  13. Ramona reacted to something. Therefore she was provoked by something. That something was Kristin. She provoked her. It doesn't excuse Ramona's behaviour, throwing anything at anyone is not okay ever. However, let's not pretend Ramona went after Kristin at the lake throwing her glass without provocation because Kristin did approach her, not the other way around. Kristin's mistake was thinking Ramona would have a sense of humour about the harmless splashing. But she didn't.
  14. I'll trash it every chance I get because it was pathetic and such a chore to watch. I'm surprised Andy let it air as it was, so boring and tired and unglamorous. How the mighty have fallen. Wendy Williams is excellent promotion for the HW shows. If Bravo is putting her show on a blacklist they should think again because Wendy has a multi year renewal across the US and international exposure via BET. Her show is bigger than theirs and her audience is their audience.
  15. NYC What a great episode. Ratings be damned, this season is awesome and by far superior to what BH put out this year. The inconsistency between these franchises is terrible. Carole's house in Beverly Hills...incredibly bijou and unique. Carole seemed happier in California. Josh laying it out there for Sonja...yeah, she's delusional, but not everyone is suited to the basic interrogation Josh gave her. He's hard charging, which is why he's successful, but he isn't someone who could work with a delicate flower like Sonja. She is from a different generation when some women aspired to be taken care of from marriage to grave. And that's Sonja and what she's actually suited to do. I thought it bizarre that Aviva was out of the credits. LuAnn is a housewife. She has just as much airtime and is my favourite to watch because her interactions are great fun. That she isn't in the credits is nonsense. Ramona and Kristin. Obviously Ramona is a crazy jerk for throwing her glass (and oars) at Kristin... But Kristin is a dumbass for provoking Ramona knowing that she is likely to fight back. Kristin reminds me of a child poking a cat who then acts surprised when the cat scratches back. I will also say this: I'd have ordered in an air conditioner too.
  16. That was the thing, Gina came off as very defensive, which she usually doesn't, the control afforded by the talking head interviews not being present at the reunion. Andrea and Lydia were working as a team, they'd pre-planned what they wanted to try and say and Andrea's ludicrous tears at once being in overdraft when launching her business was a joke. Every cruel jab at Andrea's skill as a parent is deserved. She asked for it with her self serving, pat on the back book idea.
  17. RH of Melbourne "Andrea says I have a vulgar mouth, I think Andrea has a vulgar heart." - Gina. "She basically has a prostitutes mentality, she sells herself for money." - Gina, on Lydia, as Lydia's jowls shook. "Take your husbands away and you'd have nothing." - Gina, on Andrea and Lydia. "You are an insignificant ass hair." - Gina, on Andrea. Jackie + Janet = Adorable. Janet reminds me of Carmen Duncan from AW. Andrea really has no grasp of legalities. That email/letter said absolutely nothing about any of them being sued or served with a lawsuit. Chyka was the only one who interpreted it correctly and read the situation perfectly. We all know Lydia's an idiot so the less said about her the better. Andrea is so delusional, saying that she's "moved on" and that Gina's subsequent comments about her on the Mission Beach trip were what really bothered her...give me a break. She has had an axe to grind with Gina from day one and considering they knew each other before the show that's pretty pathetic. I give Janet a lot of credit for how she laughed off Gina's comments about her. Although she is a bit flighty, Janet does strike me as someone who forgives easily and gets on with life. She's old school that way and I appreciate it. Chyka was a lot more active in the reunion than I expected and she rocked it. I don't think Gina got a bad edit, the reunion moderator was trying to keep order and keep the show moving.
  18. They don't even caption LuAnn as a "Friend of the Housewives"... She is a wonderful addition to the cast. Why she isn't holding an apple is beyond me, she is as much a member of the cast as anyone else and frankly she is one of the more entertaining ones to watch.
  19. NYC... I get the feeling Sonja, LuAnn, Ramona, Carole and Aviva all knew around this time about Ramona and Mario's marriage. Just a hunch. Kristin is a sweet girl with a middling career and a barely average apartment but I like her because she is a nice balance to the luxury and money the others have. There is an economic diversity in NYC that doesn't seem cheap (in comparison to BH with Kim and Brandi's crappy houses). Sonja is really deluded and needs a a manager...if she had a viable idea or career, which she does not. Ramona should have expected Kristin to fight back, why would she resist? Carole's apartment is very bijou and interesting...but she should keep her kitchen. The contrast between spa experiences was pretty amusing. I am just loving LuAnn this season. She seems so relaxed and happy and her straightforward approach is wonderful. I'm glad she told Sonja she thought she was a bitch for what she was saying and telling Aviva she didn't have to take a position. Speaking of whom, Aviva has a nice little family there. Reid always seems like he's about to burst, mind you, and seems focused on being as 'cool' as Harry but it seems to be working. Next week looks good. I still wonder if it is the glass that draws blood from Kristin and not the canoe.
  20. Oh...I cannot wait.
  21. What an epic moment in this franchise. We have been absolutely on the same page about this franchise, what a great one it has been!
  22. RH of Melbourne! What a satisfying conclusion. Just like RHOV Season 1, this show had 10 episodes of perfection that had a beginning, middle and end to a delicious arc where all scores are settled. Janet was held to account and exposed as a big gossip who, to her credit, copped to all of it and got over slagging off Gina. Janet may have been the oldest cast member, but she is certainly young at heart, in both positive and negative ways. Chyka continues to be the gold standard in straight shooting, kind, fresh and fun. I like that she said to Janet that she needed to watch her gossipy ways. Chyka is very fair and that was welcome. Jackie, hilarious as always with her kooky ways. She got very lucky finding her husband, they are a very natural fit, and she seems appreciative of it all. Lydia continues to think she is more important, smarter and hotter than she is. And she's also quite the bitch as she imitated the other ladies posing at Andrea's book shoot. She should well know that the 'skinny arm' pose isn't Chyka's trademark...with her thick arms it should be Lydia's standard. Thick arms, thick waist, thick head. Andrea...what a humourless bitch. Gina concludes on top, fabulous and unapologetic. What a winner. What a great season, the reunion should be spicy.
  23. RHOC Shannon...I knew I called it right. She is insufferable and that marriage of hers is one that is going to implode before the decade is over. Vicki, Tamra, Heather...they're all enjoyable to me. OC is the OG of this franchise and it's never a chore to watch. And I appreciate that after enduring BH.
  24. RHNYC Aviva...what a nutjob, but what an epic nutjob for this franchise. She is a delight in her single white female craziness. Her compulsions and hypocritical behaviour rocks each episode. We love to watch this brand of crazy don't we? Because it isn't dangerous like Kelly Bensimon...it is laughable. The scenes with Heather and her husband and son when they found out about his ears? Authentic housewives at its best. That little guy has been through the ringer, as have Heather and Jonathan. Do I ever wish them well. Carole bores me to be perfectly honest. But for this fight with Aviva I honestly don't know what she's got going for her on this show. The look on her face when Aviva whipped out the galley edition of her book was priceless. She was horrified. Ramona, I think, was in the midst of Mario cheating on her when this was filmed because when she and Sonja were sorting out their conflict Sonja said "I guess you're just taking it out on me." Speaking of Sonja...who I have always found enjoyable...girlfriend is delusional as hell. A crowd of 10,000 would come to see her in Mykonos? Bookings in Berlin and St. Tropez? I really don't think so. She doesn't see any of her ideas through. Harry, Ramona, LuAnn...all of whom like her, all said it to her face. Flipping out about that was defensive and stupid. LuAnn...perfection. She is a housewife, she should be holding an apple. She is divine this season. Hell, the captions don't even refer to her as a friend of the housewives. Kristin... Meh. She's pretty, but not adding much except being a punching bag for Aviva and Ramona. But what a great season so far after the awful BH season we all endured.
