  1. I totally disagree. LuAnn took Ramona's random apology, said in public, in the middle of LuAnn's estate sale, for what it's worth and said she would not forget what Ramona had said in the past. That's not shady, that's intelligent. And nobody knows what happens in a marriage except the two people in it. How you've chosen to characterize LuAnn's marriage could just as easily be said of Ramona's.
  2. RHoNYC Another good episode and I'm glad we're jumping right into the action because it certainly felt organic. Bethenny and Ramona are always going to have some kind of wild tension between them because they are so Type A. I do prefer Ramona because Bethenny seems really bitter about everything and her "I'm living in hotels!" storyline is nonsense, she could have found an executive rental in about 30 minutes that she could have rented for the duration of her condo renovations for far cheaper than what these hotels are costing her. I love LuAnn's house. Love it. It's spectacular. That view! I don't think Sonja's got great taste in real estate: her snide remark about LuAnn's house not being an estate like the last one and then crowing about her balcony in her own parking lot adjacent townhouse...sigh. She does not make sense to me. Kristen was irrelevant as anything. Carole is relatively pointless as well. Heather v. Bethenny will be interesting to see.
  3. RHoBH Reunion Part 3... Brandi has said for some time that she was "vindicated" at the reunion and that the "agenda" turned on a dime at some point and she felt the audience would see what was "really" going on. Well, all I think Brandi needs to realize that unless one knows the definition of a word, then one should not use it. She wasn't vindicated at all. She was slaughtered and dragged around that set for 3 episodes like a rotting corpse. If anything, Brandi just sat there and took it like a beat down dog. Eileen was the MVP of the reunion. There is no disputing that. She didn't let anyone get away with anything and her memory is like a steel trap. I haven't seen Brandi get so demolished by a cast member at a reunion like that ever before. Lisa V sat back, relaxed and collected her cheque. And good for her, she dealt with a pile of bulls*t last season, this seasons return was clearly agreed to on the premise she'd have an easier time. And she did. She is always the Empress. Lisa R cried and that was a shame because she should have just exploded at Kim's stupid ass, but her tweets have been hilarious watching the show. The lawsuit one is an absolute classic. She nailed Kim to the wall with: "Why be on a reality show?" when it is evident Kim does not want to discuss reality. Kyle should just cut the cord with Kim because they're relationship is disgusting and evil and twisted and sick. But she's won't because they're family and that's understandable. Still, she's put up with a lot. Way too much in my opinion. Kim. She's a filthy addict and I hope karma's a bitch and headed her way. She is mean. Nasty. Bitter. And full of sh*t. She doesn't have a thing on any of these women. She just has innuendo and that has been blown to smithereens this season. How she handled her awful dog Kingsley biting Kyle's daughter was crazy and disgusting. The dog should be destroyed. Period. But somehow, in Kim's allegedly drunk/high head Kyle's daughter is less worthy than an animal. An animal that has attacked multiple people (she was finally served the lawsuit papers by the friend who got seriously attached and injured by Kingsley last year). Kim is enabled by Brandi and Kathy and they should be ashamed of themselves. Kim's pathetic life gave this season its storyline...but how sad is that when BH has to stoop to dealing with a child star falling off the wagon for the hundredth time. Kim plays fast and loose with sobriety and the truth. Kim doesn't actually want to discuss reality. She wants to get paid for making sh*t up about people. That's not what I'm watching for. I'm glad this season is over and I hope Bravo realizes that Kim and Brandi need to go before this show gets more toxic than it already is. Thank goodness for the additions of Eileen and Lisa R, I couldn't imagine enduring this season without them. I do wonder if Lisa V will return, she has a great life, she may be over this nonsense.
  4. It's definitely Kelly.
  5. Reiko on RH of Vancouver ended up leaving her husband for a lesbian DJ...so pretty darn close!
  6. Miami and DC failed for Bravo's expectations and I think Bravo was very, very hesitant to kill either one because it damaged the RH brand. But they tried to retool Miami, and it still didn't work for them. Bravo should buy the rights to RHOV and air the two seasons as a single one in place of NJ until Teresa is out of the slammer.
  7. RHOMelbourne Ouch...that dinner was painful for Gina. She showed her ass and had her ass handed to her by Jackie (and Janet...and Lydia...and Chyka to limited extents) so many times. Jackie exploded with rage and the unfortunate thing for Gina is that Jackie said things and knew things that Janet could confirm. The Morning Show comments about Gamble and Rick and the "let's toss the newbies under the bus" were nasty and all Gina said was no, she didn't say them...but deflected like crazy when Jackie said she'd take a lie detector test over them. Gina did not win that fight at all. Janet and Chyka and the Tea Master was interesting. Lydia's warning with Gamble was fair and measured. She's right that Gina's for Gina and that Gamble's for Gina. Gamble is naive and she'll undoubtedly ignore Lydia's perspective on things, likely at her own peril. Lydia seemed pretty nice (but VERY dim) when she met her housekeeper's family. Pettitfleur has some of the tackiest taste of any RH I've ever seen. And it's ironic that she sees herself as sophisticated when the simple fact of the matter is she looks like a hooker in 1980's Monte Carlo. Gamble is correct in her estimation of Pettifleur - and I say that as not a fan of Gamble. But she's right: Pettifleur is tacky, she's nasty, she's obnoxious, she interrogates her and she IS new money. Pettifleur is a incredibly rude and an ugly bitch. And it's interesting that none of the other women thought her interrogation with Gamble was appropriate; Lydia especially went at her for the financial comments. "And then suddenly there's Grace Jones and I think 'Wow, when did she arrive?'" - Gina. That made me laugh really hard. She is so quick. The discussion about the fat sucking machine is what makes RHOMelbourne unique: only Australians have the balls to talk about getting their muffin tops frozen into slimness. Pettifleur and her damn book: good lord we need to never hear about this effing book ever again. It isn't listed on Amazon Australia, it's nothing. Next week looks juicy with the photos of Gamble...hmmm!
  8. You're right that Kim and Eileen never clicked - because Eileen had Kim's number from day one and Kim knew it...and that's when she started to hate Eileen. Eileen really didn't cross any of these women, she was the epitome of class this season: but she's icy and the moment they crossed her she looked at them with the disgust they deserve. Kim's ludicrous fake non-apology was absolutely awful. What a tacky bitch. Really, I don't think there has been an 'Eileen' on any of the RH franchises before...someone whose aloof enough to stay out of the mud, but smart enough to not let anyone get away with anything against her.
  9. That's absolutely true. Certainly, some are worse than others, but a lot of what people watch the RH franchises for is confrontation so yes, they're all bullies, to one extent or another. I say good for Nene and I hope she saves her money because the RH ship is sinking and the sun is setting on her, and all the other housewives, relevance in a big way.
  10. She's 76 this year, she's no heavier than she was on B&B, if anything she looks a slightly bit slimmer. Nice to see that her friendship with KKL endures.
  11. RHONY It was great to see this franchise back and what LuAnn has been saying in the media rounds to promote the show seems true: it's like the good old days and this has all the promise to be a really great season. I like Dorinda (and her boyfriend) already. She seems to inhabit a slightly humbler world than the rest of them (are at least willing to admit). Bethenny's return was seamless and it's like she never left. Ramona and Sonja - good lord Sonja, have some sensitivity to Ramona's life hitting the toilet! Having looked up Sonja's house in the south of France I don't know why she didn't just let her townhouse in New York be the one to satisfy the judgment against her and buy a smaller condo in Manhattan - that townhouse is an albatross that she doesn't want to free herself from for reasons unknown - maybe it makes her feel wealthy - but it's next to a parking garage on the Upper East Side. Why not sell it, satisfy the judgment, fire the interns, fire the staff and move into a nice $2 million 2 bedroom condo that requires little upkeep and have glamorous holiday homes to jet off to! She's delusional. I am LOVING LuAnn's new house and her tagline is the best after last year's demotion debacle. Carole does seem like a slacker writer. Heather basically had no scenes. Kristen...who cares? That's one return I just don't understand.
  12. RHOBH Part 2 of the Reunion was essentially Eileen dragging Brandi's rotting corpse back and forth for 42 minutes as Kim and Kyle and Lisa Rinna had a three way shouting match in the periphery. Brandi had previously tweeted that the reunion went in her favour...and I have no idea what she's talking about because Eileen rode her hard and threw her away wet. It really was interesting how Eileen slaughtering Brandi was a solid theme throughout the episode. Andy usually picks the topic, it's yelled about for a couple of minutes and then an unnatural transition occurs with some choppy editing of Lisa V swallowing hard or Kyle rolling her eyes and then it's onto the next topic. Not this time. Eileen definitely came with a list of grievances to address and systematically got her point across with a lot of skill. That memory of hers is something she really does have going for her that the rest of the housewives just don't have on any comparable level. Kim vs. Lisa Rinna really demonstrated what a sack of sh*t Kim is. She didn't dare say anything about Harry because she knew a slander lawsuit was headed her way the second she uttered a word because it was all totally made up nonsense. And I doubt she can pay for those legal bills...she hasn't been able to get her house out of 1972 Sherman Oaks Hell. That said, Lisa Rinna is going to go down hard next week with the text messages she sent to Kim...but that will blow over. Kim's multi-season behaviour will not. Kim vs. Kyle really demonstrated how awful Kim is. I'm no fan of Kyle, but I believed her rage filled tears when she admitted that the only reason she mends fences with Kim is so that she can keep Kim's kids in her life. I don't think Kim has heard that one before, she looked surprised and Kyle was crying too wildly to have calculated that remark too far in advance. Kyle truly hates what Kim's able to do to her and Kim doesn't give a damn about Kyle. It's as plain as day that once Kyle stopped being her enabler that Kim's use for her really dwindled. Lisa V basically had nothing much to do, aside from contributing a hilarious behind the scenes moment about claiming she could say she had diarrhea if things got too heavy during the reunion. I love her.
  13. It's just ludicrous. And I was glad to see Janet, despite all the crap with Gina, flatly deny what Petifleur was saying and flatly denied that Gina was racist.
  14. RH of Melbourne Petifleur made an attempt to get at Gina, with the ludicrous argument of racism, and it said a lot about her: she's the nasty bitch I said she was from day one.
  15. Ben is awesome! He's married to Jackie, the one who claims to be psychic and says "Shine, Shine, Shine" all the time. They're a cooky couple. Adorable.
  16. I totally agree with all of this - you nailed it Cat, as usual.
  17. I believe it a lot more than Kim's assertion that she's sober. Commercials do pay well, embarrassing endorsements pay better, and if I recall the commercial came out a year after DWTS, which is always good for an actors Q score.
  18. And for some Real Housewives of Vancouver Tea... Jody Claman's divorce trial concluded and she was ordered to pay special costs to her now ex-husband. Special costs are used by the Canadian Courts to demonstrate reproof or rebuke on a litigant whose behaviour has been exceptionally poor, Madam Justice Gropper of the BC Supreme Court held that Jody "deliberately intended to mislead and deceive the court on numerous occassions"...FINALLY this trash is getting what she deserves! Here is an article all about it: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/real-housewives-of-vancouver-cast-member-s-lies-lead-to-special-court-costs-1.3018076 And for the real juicy reading, here's the judgement: http://www.courts.gov.bc.ca/jdb-txt/SC/15/04/2015BCSC0482.htm Somewhere, Mary, Christina and Reiko are laughing their asses off while Ronnie shakes hers in dismay.
  19. RHoBH Reunion Part 1 Lisa V: she stayed incredibly calm and it bothered Brandi so much. "No, no no, she burnt that bridge." remains an epic assessment and Lisa's right that Brandi doesn't take responsibility for anything. Why shouldn't she have taken The Slap to the bank? It was a heinous thing of Brandi to do without any provocation. Eileen: she was laser focused in what she said, which wasn't very much, but she articulated why she thinks Brandi can't hold her liquor very well without sounding too judgmental either. Kim: she made excuses for Brandi and fake laughed her way through this first hour. Kim's a mess and she loves how Brandi enables her addict behaviour. Yolanda: she is truly suffering and I don't think there was anything less than genuine about how she seemed. I do think the article about Yolanda getting sold quack medicine has a point, far too many people suffering with chronic illness go down a road that leads them nowhere. I really hope Yolanda gets well. Brandi: she was, understandably, on the defensive because she knew what was coming. Her logic with saying Lisa R doesn't have an eating disorder and that she wouldn't make that judgment because she hasn't seen her eat was faulty because everyone has seen Brandi's drunken behaviour...and because she sent Lisa R a text that she's "an anorexic old hag." What she said about Lisa V wanting to have sex with Andre was disgusting. She should be fired. Kyle: she had very weird makeup and looked like she'd had some filler and Botox injected recently. She looked very hard. She's livid with Brandi and we all know Kyle goes wild when she's angry, but that makeup just made her look like a frozen doll. Lisa R: seven figures for the Depends commercial?! That's amazing! Way to go Lisa Rinna! Andy's suit was awesome.
  20. Indeed. When Russell Armstrong killed himself, that was the Moldavian Massacre for the RH franchises...Andy even responded to a tweet that someone sent saying the very same thing at that time. He neither confirmed nor denied the accuracy of that depiction. But that's where we are. If the RH was 'Dynasty'...we're in season 7 or 8...it's not quite over, but the light has dimmed greatly. OC, as the original, has much life left in it. NYC could have a renaissance this season, the buzz is good. BH has another season or two left in it. ATL has become quite toxic and needs retooling. NJ is on life support. MIA is dead. That Bravo is launching more iterations of RH under different titles speaks volumes about how limited the outlook is at Bravo for new programming and that's trouble for the network.
  21. RH of Melbourne... Gamble is an absolute moron and she's played these women so incorrectly. She really didn't know who she was tangling with when it comes to Janet. Janet is in her 50s, she has been there, done that, and dealt with basic bitches like Gamble for years. And when Gamble told her sister a version of the story that cast Janet as if she was the one who started everything (under a ludicrous premise that because Janet repeated rumours she was stating them as fact which is plainly illogical, a ridiculous premise that she reiterated when Gina explained reality to her sister), it demonstrated how Gamble is a liar whose only interested in casting a victims light on her. She isn't willing to let anything go. She loves that the conflict is all about her and centred on her. When she made the chicken squawking noise into Gina's phone, it showed what a dumb bitch she is. Her sister was either drunk or just trash and so drunk on emotion that I can't have any respect for her whatsoever. Janet was right to leave. And she strutted out of that gallery like a star, to have Gamble run after her like a schoolgirl chasing her crush, it was a win for Janet who was clearly pissed off at how Gamble seems to be setting her up for an attack at every turn. She looked amazing in the white suit she wore to the Sydney hotel. Janet caught Gina in the rumour she spoke to Lydia about: it's exactly the same thing Janet did, she took the rumour back to the source. Janet held herself together very well throughout the episode. She knows when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. Gina knew how stupid the situation was and seemed taken aback when Gamble's sister said that Gamble hadn't said Janet was repeating rumours. Gina clearly explained how that was different than just stating things as fact and it blew Gamble's credibility as her big personality got awfully small one Gina started to analyze things. Much as Gina tried to wriggle out of it, Janet did get her with the Lydia Rumour Repeat point, Gina did the exact same thing Janet did, she took the rumour back to the source. And then Gina really screwed herself by saying she "embellished the story" about Janet flirting with Rick...that said, I can definitely understand why Gina doesn't get along with Pettifleur, she IS highly strung and that isn't a trait some people really enjoy, I know I don't. Pettifleur had Janet's back when it came to Gamble's drunken pig of a sister, and I liked that...but she's very prickly when it comes to Gina. She's very serious and very highly strung and thinks incredibly highly of herself...and that can get a bit much when she expects everyone else to be as impressed with her. She's also very defensive straight out of the gate, true, she's probably had a hard life, but she's bitter from it. Jackie has become the Greek Chorus, I don't find myself disagreeing with her assessments of things at all. Chyka lives gorgeously. I could kill for that house of hers and the windy picnic she threw. She IS 'Slither Barbie' because she's a lot shadier than she gets credit for. I really liked her scenes at home, it's a nice break from the constant scenes with the other women. Lydia's drunken, bitchy, wind fuelled impression of Gamble was hilarious: she clearly hates her. And that makes Lydia a winner for me for this episode. There very well might be something with her marriage going on, who knows (for now)... I loved how this week's episode was shot: it showed so much of Sydney at its best and the music was fun. RHOMelbourne is really beautifully produced. I think it may be my favourite franchise ever (Vancouver and Cheshire were both fabulous too).
  22. It's incredibly different for LuAnn, but she's got the bone structure to pull off anything.
  23. RHoBH "You do magic now?!" - Kathy Hilton Kim: She thinks that she needs to be treated as the "healthy older sister"...well then she could start by being that since she clearly is not. And she's even an as$hole at Kyle's store. Much as I love a cameo from Kathy Hilton, she's clearly just enabling Kim's behaviour of shoving everything under the carpet. Kim was particularly bizarre when she cornered Lisa R about the use of the word "intervention"...and then swiftly left when the rest of the housewives sat down, totally ignoring Eileen. Kim's worried about her reputation? She ruined that years ago. That fake, faux magnanimous grin she had on her face as Lisa R said she learned she needs to stay out of people's business was infuriating, Kim just wants people to fawn all over her and God forbid someone level her with the truth. Kyle: She is in a terrible relationship with Kim that needs to end for both of their sakes. Kyle is all about conflict: she invites it and she revels in it and she hates it. She is indignant with Brandi whose clearly gotten under her skin. Her life would be much simpler and happier if she just accepted and enjoyed being the realtor's wife who lives in the house that's a lot closer to Sherman Oaks than Beverly Hills than the fake LA socialite who has it all. Lisa R: It didn't make sense that she wouldn't flesh anything out to Kim. She cracked, her backbone snapped. She was right she was in a lose/lose. In addition, she was right that Kim didn't really want to know, because when it Lisa R offered, Kim dismissed it like the spoiled bitch that she is. And it was classy of Lisa R to at least cop to the fact that she caused problems for Brandi by discussing their lunch with Kyle. I believe that Lisa R had good intentions and that she's an emotional person who feels compelled to do things...but she was trying to reason with a crazy person. Brandi: She's a mess, careening out of control and she's of an age that being a mess doesn't work anymore. Her constant mentions of Xanax only served to explain her lunatic behaviour with Lisa V at Adrienne's party. What did she expect Lisa to do after she'd slapped her? That she immaturely walked away from Lisa said it all. Obviously, her father's health had an awful impact on Brandi, understandably so, but she doesn't seem to cope well at all. And then she lied to Kim about the "intervention" discussion. And she shouldn't have because it wasn't said from a malicious place. She did let something slip in her conversation with Kim that was telling: "I want people to worry about me."...That's not an adult perspective. She doesn't understand why she always has to be the bad guy? Poor thing, she isn't connected to reality. Yolanda: For someone who crowed on about not wanting to be "Hollywood Friends" with anyone, Yolanda sure seemed enamoured with Kathy Hilton who appears to have the "Hollywood Friend" motif mastered. And she seemed to take the reins of the Kim/Brandi conversation and have them sit down like adults, which was a good thing. It's sad that she's suffered a relapse of Lyme Disease, I wish her so well. Eileen: She was so right about Lisa R: she loves the truth, it was time to tell it and she didn't quite get there, despite being the horse's mouth. When Lisa R had told her the same thing and she couldn't back it up...sigh. Eileen's razor sharp soap star memory is something so useful in the RH universe: she doesn't remember the gist of things, she remembers things exactly how they happened. I thought it was hilarious, right at the end, when she asked Lisa R "What the hell happened?!"...there's a little Kristen Blake in Eileen, and that's a great thing. I really hope she returns next season, she was wonderful. Lisa V: She is nobody's fool. This season Lisa took a slight step back and, as a result, stayed mostly out of the fray. And when she needed to zero in on behaviour that was out of line, she did it very succinctly. The way she handled Brandi was a thing of beauty, she's right: you don't always get to apologize and then have life go back to normal, that's not how life works. Lisa V is living a great life and these women...they come and go out of her life and she just keeps going being fabulous. Kudos to her I say. And with that, bring on the reunion!
