  1. BH I'll keep it simple re Yolanda: she is milking everything for sympathy and I think it's a bad decision. That scene at the end with her will was done purely for dramatic effect. And implicating two of her kids as Lyme disease sufferers: maybe they are/were but that's their personal health information and I don't like that she disclosed it on television. LVP has known the kids and Mohammed for years and she had no idea. Why? Because if they do/did have Lyme their father has the sensitivity not to talk about it, even with a close friend. Erika: I'm still very on the fence with her. I like how she is calm and seems sly and intelligent and hard to rattle. And she was certainly eyeing LVP up and down (Yolanda's obviously given her opinions in advance), but she also doesn't seem dumb enough to take someone else's opinion as gospel. She seems hard, but not bitter. It'll be interesting to see how she develops. That Cartier panther ring was incredible. Eileen: I hope she was having a glass of the driest-white-wine available when she spilled the beans on Lips talking about Yolanda. She didn't throw Lips under the bus of course, given that it seems she and Lips made the wise decision to forge a blood pact about having each other's back, but she seized her moment to keep her hands on a diamond. I liked the peak into the Y&R set, if anyone watched Lisa Kudrow's The Comeback it's funny how Eileen's dressing room is just like Valerie's was: tucked away in the middle of nowhere. Kyle: not much from her this episode aside from 'working' in 'her' shop. Lips: that was one of the funnier waxing sessions in Housewives history. She is always hustling, that Lips is. Her waxer could have been the mother of NY's Sonja's facialist. Very gossipy. Lips was wise to run off to Ontario and catch some family time. LVP: she's a better person than I am. If a swan bit me I'd break its neck. That shows some level of patience I just don't have. She definitely gave Erika a light grilling as the 'new girl' and she's territorial, but she's been bitten before by the likes of Cedric and Brandi, so it's not a surprise she's a lot more guarded these days.
  2. Martha Stewart vs. LuAnn de Lesseps. It's so ridiculous it's funny: http://pagesix.com/2015/12/22/nasty-war-of-words-between-luann-de-lesseps-and-martha-stewart/
  3. I am on the fence about Yolanda. Clearly, something is wrong with the woman...but it may not be what she thinks it is. It may not even be physical. She may just be mentally ill. But it's contradictory to be on a beautiful trip in Vancouver Island on a yacht and then posting selfies of being miserable. At the same time, that might just be Yolanda having moments of stoicism. I can't fault Lips for talking about the issue because it's a blatant issue for everyone on the show to deal with. LVP is an animal hoarder - but she has the space and the money and the love to give. Frankly, I'm not an animal person at all and I couldn't stand one animal, let alone her ark of multiples, in my home. And why shouldn't LVP be pissed that Dim Richards is slagging her off on Entertainment Tonight? I didn't find the scenes with Kyle and her daughters getting their ears pierced endearing or sweet. They're spoiled brats. They either wanted it done or they didn't. The hysterical theatrics just go to show that Kyle is raising a pack of drama queens. Erika...hmm. Still on the fence about her. She's clearly smart and crafty. Eileen and Vince are an interesting pair. I think he spoke to her quite rudely.
  4. There is something about Erika that strikes me as a character that Morgan Fairchild would have played seriously in the 80s and then spoofed in the 90s on a sitcom. It will be interesting to see how she progresses because there were some promising soundbites: "If you're a poor as$hole you're just going to be a rich as$hole and if you're a sweetheart you're just going to be a bigger sweetheart"...and I like that her marriage has run 15 years, that says something...but she's friends with Yolanda and her alter ego makes me go hmmm. Taylor is so damn messy and she hasn't changed a bit. You'd think with everything she's gone through she might have calmed herself and started acting like an adult...but there were major shades of season 1 Taylor in this episode. The trip with LVP and Lips was great. While I know some people are going to criticize LVP for not taking that imperfect horse, the simple fact of the matter is when a horse has a bad leg that horse suffers incredibly and most horses who break a leg are shot immediately. LVP didn't need to make that kind of decision, she even mentioned the need of having to put the horse down so she made the right choice in not taking it. Those two were a hoot in the back of the limousine in their cowboy hats. Lips and Eileen showing up in matching leopard was awesome. And I liked that they let it fly with Kyle about that mess of a sister of hers. It was interesting that little confrontation in the park between Dim Richards and Lips was filmed. Clearly, Dim was off the wagon (has she ever gotten on? anyone?) at the time since she hopped over a retaining wall in a canyon park. I'm glad Lips cuts the bullsh*t and says Dim is dangerous because she is and continues to be, especially when she has an enabling sister like Kathy. Lemon Lyme and her vitamin drip. Did anyone else hear her say to Erika that she either goes for a colonic or vitamin drip every day? I hope she's exaggerating. That is just plain dangerous. I'm not even opposed to either of those treatments, per se, but with that kind of regularity the body can't cope. I adored LVP and Ken being whisked to Monte Carlo in Sir Philip Green's helicopter. Now THAT is how you do it. What I did not adore was Ken being pushed into the pool. The man has had a double hip replacement! That was just crazy of whoever that stupid guest was. Ken needs to be treated gently, he IS 70 years old regardless of how full of vigour he is.
  5. Oh, wow, I was thinking the same thing! These are so beautiful. They really are so beautiful, particularly the second one, closeup on Dame Joan's smiling face.
  6. I am LOVING VPR this season... Jax vs. James is so good because they're both loathsome! The Lauren/Lala/James storyline was so deliciously terrible and that it started, existed and concluded in a single episode was amazing. That stupid girl, thinking she could cheat on camera...incredible. Love when people rip off their mic thinking that solves the problem. Shay and Scheana...Scheana is so awful. She is disgustingly self centred, selfish and stupid. Shay is clearly struggling and his friends, the Tom Toms, are the only ones supporting his health. What's Scheana's position: "I couldn't be with someone whose 100% sober." Stupid bitch.
  7. LVP picked up an award at the British Consulate's residence in Los Angeles alongside Dame Joan Collins.
  8. Dame Joan received an award at the UK Consulate's residence in Los Angeles alongside Lisa Vanderpump from RHOBH. Not bad for 82:
  9. RH of BH Yolanda: first of all, her story makes me sad for her because she's clearly ill...just not in the way she probably thinks. Yolanda is one of those people whose probably dealing with depression, menopause, empty nest syndrome, a bad marriage and ageing - and now she's made it into some kind of over the top illness. She's manifested a lot physically. But then she's made it so much worse by doing a wild ride of treatments that are bogus, California crap. Word to the wise, Daisy, her 'healthcare advocate' admits to being a former hooker on her website, among so many other professions my mind boggles. And let's be honest, being a former hooker might work on a soap opera (take a bow Karen Wolek!) but she has basically no formal medical training. That's just plain dangerous. That closet of vitamins and medications was just ridiculous. That many pills can lead to extreme liver toxicity. I really did not appreciate Yolanda reading, with a bottle of Patron next to her bedside, only to make herself look exhausted and tired once Lips and Eileen arrived - I just have to call bullsh*t on that. LVP: I loved seeing her in Tuscany and it's interesting that the Vanderpump-Todds are in LA because Ken likes it there. I am quite sure that, one day, Lisa will return to Europe, at least part time. She will go 'home' again, those English girls always do. Lisa was right to say that Yolanda is taking so many steps it seems that she doesn't know what's wrong with her anymore. That isn't mean or critical, it's a factual observation. Lisa looked gorgeous in her floating dresses and perfect hat. I also don't fault her for discussing Kyle's f*cked up family. It isn't as if the kids don't realize that half of them haven't been invited and that Mauricio is being treated like crap. Eileen: her trip to Palm Springs was sad and otherwise she put in a respectable appearance at Yolanda's condo. I love that Eileen drives a Ford (me too!). Lips: I love that she calls Harry "Harry Hamlin" and that she was showing off those beautiful earrings. That is so adorable. I do think Lips should keep in better touch with her parents. It's just laziness on her part that she doesn't. I loved her girls lunch with LVP, they are a winning pair. Kyle: she comes from a truly heinous family. We already knew this since we've seen Kim...but good lord Kathy Hilton, way to not control your PR image well. There is no positive way to spin "I invited my sister, then disinvited her, then invited her and kept half her children in the wedding party but left the other half and her husband out" in a positive way...I don't know what she was thinking. She could have just sat them in Siberia in the Kensington Palace gardens (that anyone can get married in by the way, they're open for rent!) at Nicky's second wedding. I do sort of feel sorry for Kyle as she can't seem to do anything right with her horrible family. Her mother failed them, despite Kyle's praise of her as some kind of amazing mother. LVP is right that Kyle should simply distance herself from her whole family for her own sake.
  10. Good kick, Cynthia! She hit that trash where she lives...
  11. That lace front is fabulous.
  12. I disagree about Liz. I loved the recent scenes with Liz dumping Tony and getting his shares of the Rovers, all the while still loving him, but being rid of him because it was the smart decision to do.
  13. It's why I'm always hesitant with 'alternative' therapies when a medical doctor isn't involved. People like Yolanda jump from treatment to treatment like many people jump onto crash diets. That's just dangerous. All treatment takes time to work or be proven ineffective. The thing I've considered is that Yolanda is in menopause and is improperly diagnosed and treated. A lot of her symptoms (an "overheating engine" is how she describes herself) are very menopausal. And menopause is no joke: it decimates some women and can lead to real suffering. There's no denying Yolanda isn't well. Take one look at her. She looks awful. But there's a lot of other variables (ie: crumbling marriage, empty nest syndrome, general stress) that, combined with something like menopause and/or depression, could just slaughter someone. She is her own worst enemy in this by not having any discipline or patience in sticking with a treatment plan. Loading up her body with a zillion herbs, vitamins, stem cells in the Bahamas and Korea, non-regulated treatments, traditional medication - it's a LOT for the human body to handle. We are a delicate, yet tough, species. I wish Yolanda good health, but I also wish her common sense and none of the passive aggressive crap that's sustained her for years. Ken and Lisa, particularly Ken, showed a lot of compassion about Yolanda being ill at Lips' dinner...it's just that they aren't demonstrating it in exactly the way Yolanda wants to hear it. That is my biggest problem with her: everything is either her way or no way. She does not seek a happy medium in anything and if you aren't kissing her ass you're wrong.
  14. Lemon Lyme's illness shouldn't give her a pass for all the crap she's pulled against Lisa over the years. It doesn't absolve her of all her bullsh*t.
  15. BH They're baaaaack at last. Eileen: "So thanks for that...bitch." Sad for Eileen and Vince to lose his dad. Lips: I love that she's made her daughter get a job, at a deli no less, and then laughs and admits that the golddiggers who have it all are likely totally happy. "I almost feel like I don't deserve it...but I do!" Hilarious. She's still herself, thank goodness. Kyle's legs are too dumpy to wear shorts like that. Of course she's doing a show about her childhood in the 70s. No reason to come up with an original idea when you can mine your own history. For someone who claims to have grown up keeping things in the family she's done a good job at putting her business out in the street for everyone to observe. Lisa was brave to whip off that blouse, revealing a very imperfect tummy. But not bad for 55. I know people are going to say Lisa and Ken were harsh about how Lemon Lyme looks, but they were being honest. She looks so sick and everyone else is bullsh*tting them except Lisa and Ken and their blunt Britishness. Lemon Lyme looks like hell. There is no denying she's ill. Whether that's Lyme Disease, who knows. She very well may be totally mentally ill and it's manifested itself physically. When she says she has 'no brain function' that's just bizarre. She'd be dead if that was true. Is anyone surprised that her marriage to King David is over? Of course not. He's a jerk and she's an arrogant bitch. It was never going to work out. All of those illness selfies are bizarre, quite frankly. She should cut out all these alternative bullsh*t treatments, check in with a psychiatrist and get a full physical and start over.
  16. Oh my god those are GOLD. Both of those are incredible!
  17. Empress Vanderpumps tagline: "I'm passionate about dogs, just not crazy about bitches."
  18. Ronnie is a private jet taking, Philip Treacy hat wearing, friend of Caroline Stanbury and Stella McCartney...I don't think she'd be a great fit in either franchise, but definitely not suburban OC. If Ronnie ever moved to a US franchise, it would have to be NYC, she and LuAnn would be a hoot. Really, Ronnie moving to Los Angeles is a weird one (her son Houston is living there now and pursuing an acting career), it's so different from Vancouver (Ronnie grew up in Seattle, a much closer vibe to Vancouver in many respects, albeit less cosmopolitan).
  19. For any RHOV fans, Ronnie recently gave an interview to Entertainment Tonight Canada. In the clip below she discusses the show. In the full story that aired she said she would consider joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and that she is planning to move to Los Angeles.
  20. Yes that's what Botox looks like after it is injected. It rapidly absorbs as the patient moves their facial muscles to allow the medication to absorb.
  21. Latest RHONYC rumour: LuAnn, Ramona and Sonja are all 'pay for play' and didn't land season contracts. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3319087/Real-Housewives-New-York-castmembers-LuAnn-Lesseps-Sonja-Morgan-Ramona-Singer-time-season-eight.html Not sure how much I believe any of this because they're half the cast and the producers, quite frankly, need them. This is one franchise that is in serious trouble of not finding its footing.
  22. It's the wonderfully steaming hot mess I know and love. Jax remains a psycho who treats women horribly. This poor Brittany chick is this season's Laura-Leigh. Scheana remains an idiot. So low class. It was so weird of her and Katie to instantly investigate this Lala hooker, whose clearly a pretty bitch bitch. James is a pig and an awful person and a terrible liar. Kristen didn't deserve that, even though she is an absolute psycho. Like, Fatal Attraction psycho. Most of what's gone on IS her fault - but she's not at fault for James cheating on her and lying about it. Faith seems like she actually wants to work and do well. Aside from Lisa, the Toms and Arianna remain the only cast members I can root for. They're just plain old nice people.
  23. The finale of Ladies of London... Caroline Fleming can go f--k herself. What a bitch. Thank goodness she was hardly in the episode. She is such a haughty, nasty, ugly souled bitch. Condescending doesn't even begin to explain her. She needs to GO. Annabelle needs to get ahold of some maturity and stop being so selfish. She did explain that she gets introspective under pressure, which was valid, but she is a mature woman and should know better by now that if she has an anxiety issue that she needs to be up front about it. It is not fair for her to expect people to read her mind. Julie is a tightly wound wreck. Her implosion at the table was sad because she clearly has a lot of pressure. I am so glad she basically told Caroline Fleming to shut up and let her talk. It's good that she basically worked things out with Annabelle. One thing I don't like about Julie is she pleads poverty and that the family estate is in dire financial straits - and that just isn't true. The Montague family has been running their home well for years. Juliet is totally irrelevant. Now that she has her blog she doesn't seem to have much to do and nobody wants to deal with her loud, Chicago ass. Marissa is a boss. She's in control of herself and her future and she does it without being a gloating, offensive, cow. She is great. I was so impressed with how well mannered her little boy was, asking "May I have a babyccino?"...that was super cute. Adorable. Marissa is good at managing all of the other women and seems to get along with all of them, sans Juliet and Caroline Fleming, very well - and who needs those two hacks? Caroline Stanbury won me over this season. Big time. Between losing the business and not wallowing in self pity about it, being a mother to children who clearly adore her (she actually seems like a very chill, unflappable mother, and laying down the law with basically everyone in the show, she was the standout. I really liked how she explained things to Annabelle in a way that held her accountable for her crap but didn't trash her. I think Caroline Stanbury is one of those people who laughs at themselves when nobody is looking and otherwise seems quite serious. I dig her. **Honourable mention to Sophie Stanbury who was always a hot mess and hilarious.
  24. RH of Cheshire... Okay, so Ampika is only 34? Did that catch anyone else by surprise? I was thinking more along the lines of 38. The thing I can't stand about Ampika, and women like her, is when they have a birthday or a wedding or an event and suddenly they think it gives them a hall pass to be a prick. Magali did the same thing with her wedding vow renewal. Dawn did the same thing in her season 1 dinner party. It's the worst type of entitled, stupid behaviour. Ampika is clearly bitter about her relationship with Mark, which is sad, because they're clearly made for each other. I agree that Tanya and Lapdog just don't bring much to the show - but Tanya is a pot stirring idiot to the extreme and always has to get "something off her chest" at an opportune moment, so she certainly has a purpose. Lapdog, much less so. She's poorly spoken and couldn't manage a well timed put down if her life depended on it. I will point out that both of their husbands are actively playing footballers, so it's not a surprise that they aren't in the show, as they're on the road. Magali is no angel and I suspect she and Dawn are two sides of the same coin. She is fierce and fabulous. As she's said, 'Mama is ready!'...I just wish she didn't become so petty about that vow renewal. And when she came to Dawn's house in the last episode and essentially revel in how great it was when she purposely didn't invite Dawn was bizarre and tacky. Dawn is brash and also vulnerable and manipulative. She was clearly angling for sympathy, which none of us want to see because we know she's built of much tougher stuff than that. She has got a solid relationship with Ashley, he is clearly devoted to her. Dawn grabbed the brass ring when she had her chance and she got it and it's a struggle to hold onto that kind of life, but she's a tough Northern woman and she will. She just really needs to dump those bitches Nick and Royston. Lauren is a sloppy, big mouthed, selfish cow - and I love her. She was right to fight back against Ampika butting her divorced, lonely ass into her marriage. She should NOT have thrown that cake though, that was just tacky as hell. She has a sense of humour and brings a lot to the show. She's a hoot. "What did I miss?" - great way to end a fabulous season.
  25. I am loving this season and I am loving Caroline Stanbury. How did that happen!? She's sort of fearless in how she lets it all hang out. The dinner party scenes with Caroline Fleming's family highlighted why Caroline Stanbury is different from the rest of 'em (aside from Annabelle): she can paint on the perfect appropriate face and make witty party banter even as her whole business implodes. Annabelle is losing me with her behaviour with Julie. She's expecting Julie to read her mind, it seems so stupid. I still love Sophie Stanbury because she's a lush and a total hot mess at all times and one withering comment away form decimating someone. Marissa behaved just perfectly at the Fleming castle...she really knows how to fit in. The same cannot be said for Juliet who just SCREAMS Illinois. Finally, Caroline Fleming can go play in traffic. What a pretentious bitch. She's awful. I can't believe next week is the finale!
