On this we agree. I think AZ is going to be Lukey's competition - at least that's how spoilers sound. Could be interesting having both Luke and Tracy being attractive to the town's Criminally Insane and trying to manoeuvre their way around them.

Larry is dead. Sorry. I'm not worried in the least that GW will put JE on recurring, but I am convinced she will become more of a presence. And Old School Tracy with Old School Luke would work just fine. The basic reality of soaps is characters need to be in relationship in order for them to have a story - and since LuNacy is the Vet Couple who hasn't really been explored (at least Tracy's story certainly hasn't) I doubt GW will look that gift horse in the mouth. Besides, Tracy is now firmly the Maternal Figure for the Spencer household and holds that family together. TG's Luke can't do that anymore because he's gone so much of the year. Now having said that, it doesn't mean that Hellzabub can't play Luke while AZ plays Tracy, forcing LuNacy to deal with other issues. Monica will probably be pulled into the Jason/Michael universe (hey, at least she'll be seen) but LuNacy are in play on the other side of the canvas. (It's also through Tracy that Luke will be "redeemed" - the Spencer Sibs don't have that kind of emotional pull since those children will always forgive their father.) Anyway, time will tell and all this negative speculation will only help ulcers, nothing else. BTW - on a totally different note - thanks for the birthday greetings. You guys make me feel so special. Rusty's new BFF also had a birthday yesterday, and since she's only 9 I had no problem celebrating her instead. Today is for Mama though, Lobster and Cheesecake are in my immediate future. YUM!!!

Well, I've said it before and we will have to wait and see, but I it doesn't make sense for TG to return briefly in September and that's that. The King of Daytime is going to have a whole lot more fanfare involved with his departure than a quick week or two wrap up. I'll be more than happy if MB is the male leaving though. His wagon was hitched pretty tightly to Guza's so he might see his days in the sun numbered and wanting to get out while he still looks like he's on top. The bit about TB returning could be interesting, but it only makes sense if MB is sticking around since she was his most successful Carly (not the show's mind you. That honour still goes to originator SBr). All the attention might have been on LW, but IMO it was IR's Jax who made this version tolerable.

Hey everyone, I'm taking a break from all the Canada Day festivities here in Ottawa (nope, didn't see Will & Kate - didn't try to) and was just checking the IL on DD. Apparently GW's stuff starts airing week of July 26th and there is supposed to be a lot of Helena and Tracy that week. Here's hoping! Anyway, off now to see fireworks. Ta ta

Thanks everyone. Lupe would have been interesting, but I'm okay with her not staying on. It's quite the Guza style though - killing someone as opposed to having them live their lives elsewhere. Oh well. What used to be story telling I could enjoy devolved into stupidity, so anything new will be welcome. But "get their balls back"? Note to Wolfe, take a look at a pre-schooler's biology book - women don't have "balls". Way too much male domination going on, sheesh.

I think all bets are of with Wolfe. I just read something on DD that said we had to hold on for 6 more weeks [until Guza's stuff ran out] then it would be a whole new show and much better. We'll see. Fireworks tomorrow for us. This is the first year we are actually doing anything for Canada Day, and now that we are in Ottawa we can be part of the really big party. Will and Kate are also in town, so it should be wild.

I could live that that Baby Boy, just as long as she doesn't rub Tracy's nose in her friendship with Luke (Trace has had enough of that BS to last a few lifetimes). AND she's not Caucasian, which is a very good thing. You know, she's be the right age for a JPL's Dillon - imagine the story that could provoke amoungst all the Spencermaines.

I didn't pay attention to Sonny's crap, but I will say that watching Lupe with Luke, it didn't appear sexual in the least. And when he laid his head on her lap it reminded me of a child laying their head on their mother's lap when they were upset. Luke was not interested in her as anything more than a person who had no connection to all the people he loved. That's why I'm not terribly upset about it. If going back to the brothel in Florida was Luke retreating to his "home", then it's quite likely that these women/girls were little more than maternal substitutes for him.

Excuse me? This was written by Guza, I'm assuming. He seems to have a talent for given positions that belong to women who have earned them, to males who haven't put in the years. Evidence includes Patrick and Steven for COS when Monica was the one who earned that job, Nicholas suddenly because the Chair of the BOG when Tracy was given that position, and now teen-age Michael has been given an office that has been used by the CEO of ELQ? Aside from the fact that this is a snub all women who have rightfully attained power and prestige in their chosen fields, this makes a complete mockery of the characters erroneously put in positions of power to which they are not qualified. GW has a lot of these little fixes to put in place if he's going to give this show back any credibility. The more I think of it the more I am convinced Guza knew what was coming - you don't f*ck up this badly if you expect longevity.

Don't know Lain, its up to 3 chapters now and I know what I want to do with it, so we'll just have to see what comes. I'm glad you like it. I know you don't beta my stuff anymore but your honest opinion is always welcome. I wouldn't feel this comfortable doing it if you hadn't taken me under your wing a few years ago.

In all honesty she might be busy, but it's a shame. MW is Kate, and they shouldn't do recasts unless there isn't another solution. I'm starting to disagree about JJ being "awesome" though - he's terribly one note. Now, having said that it's the precise note that soaps need, so it's a good fit. But what more can he really do except melodrama? He can't do comedy, he's not sexy enough for heavy romance…. really, he's kinda blah. Enjoy your trip. Fan weekends have no appeal to me ever but I hear others have a great time.

Trucky never gets the screen time it deserves - mind you my perfect Trucky is GV's body with JJ's treatment of her. THAT is pure Trucky goodness IMO.

I don't think we've seen Tracy in an office since that infamous desk scene with Scott - and that wasn't her office.

I imagine ELQ runs itself with a staff but the HS would be something she did in person. It would be nice to have her in her office though. GH seems to run fast and loose with the employment of the women.

Judging by what I see, Tracy considers Luke to have made his choice and she's always quicker to let him go than the others. I think that speaks honestly to Tracy's sense that she's never going to have what she truly wants and it serves her right for hoping. Tough love is the only way she knows how to deal with it, but it is breaking her heart to see Lulu react so badly. I'm with you, Hooked, I want Tracy to be behind anyone to give Michael a hard time at ELQ. Who the hell is he to get the family company in the first place and WHEN is someone going to call Edward on the mat for always favouring every penis even slightly related to him over his obviously capable daughter?

Okay guys, I'm trying to get my writing mojo active again so I'm returning to the familiar stomping grounds of Tracy-fic while I exercise the muscles. I promise, there's more to come but this is where it can be found. As always, your opinion matters to me. I trust our little group to be honest in critique. A mixing of CassaSpencermaines always brings story of humour, danger and wicked one-liners. I'm all for it. I stil think we should have a Hellzabub/Sonny moment - she's make that "dangerous gangster" look like a grade-school bully. I'm trying to picture that Thanksgiving pizza with all the rumours we've heard (the ones I like anyway) : Edward, Helena, Tracy, Luke, Alan, Monica, Dillon, Brook, Lulu, Dante, Lucky, Siobhan, Ethan, possibly Kristina, maybe even Alexis and Molly….. Wowza. The whole show could be about them for months and it would be entertaining down to the last morsel.
