Sandy Gabriel (Edna Thornton) and her real life husband John Gabriel (Seneca Beaulac - Ryan's Hope) did a interview on The Locher Room Today. Sandy's on-screen daughter Tasia Valenza (Dottie Thornton) surprises her at 24:30.
Sandy and Tasia both look FABULOUS!!0 -

This makes me very happy! This was the first storyline I remember as a kid and one that hooked me to AMC.
YES!!
But....I went back to try to link the post, and it’s since been deleted.
It was posted on Reddit, andI’ve come to think it was probably just a rumor.
Sorry. It COULD come to fruition, though; at least a reference.
People still talk about “the well.”

I've looked over those archives in the past just for fun and I took a peek yesterday. There were hundreds of posts per week in the early 1990s archives which really goes to show how popular soaps were.
I inquired earlier, but no one responded.....Can you please tell me how to access those archives??
I can’t seem to figure it out (and I remember viewing them a few years ago).

Who was ‘Hunter’ again??
Natalie and Jeremy’s secret son??

Can anyone direct me how to access the USENET soap opera archives??
I tried to find them, but my effort failed.
I actually do remember finding something called “RATS” a few years back, and seeing soap opera discussions from as far back as 1986 (which was mind-blowing to me)!!
I remember an AMC topic discussing the character of Cecily (favorably).
Is “RATS” (I think that’s what it was called) the same as USENET??
Anyway, to stay true to the topic at hand:
-When the hell is Natalie getting out of that stinkin’ well??!! (which is a topic I actually remember seeing in the archives )

I feel it started to look really cheap when Jean Dadario Burke became EP.

Chuck hired Danny to tutor Donna, but she refused to stop seeing Ty, her black boyfriend...
”Ty” is Tyrone, correct??
(Donna’s first pimp, right before Billy Clyde)

The interviewer is irritating, but it’s nice to see Kate.

Ryan Lavery, AMC
And all of them were dreadful, horribly-written characters (Ryan, too, post Gillian’s untimely demise).0 -

All My Children wins for ‘Outstanding Daytime Drama:’

All My Children is the only daytime soap that Kate Collins appeared on, I’m fairly certain.

Oh that’s shocking and so sad. I too loved the Kevin coming-out story.
Agreed.
The storyline (written by the wonderful Lorraine Broderick) was definitely ahead of its time / daring for the time period.

AMC: As mentioned, Kate Collins and Robin Mattson as Janet on All My Children. Apparently Collins' (in a dual role) Janet was supposed to be twins with her original character Natalie.
It’s often erroneously stated on sites that Natalie & Janet were twins; if you watch the “Natalie In the Well” story (which is on YouTube from start to finish), however, it’s clearly written that Janet is Natalie’s younger sister (by one year).Janet was introduced as an overweight woman with dark brown hair, who looked NOTHING like Natalie (other than facial features).
I’m always annoyed when I read that they were “twins”, when they only looked identical after Janet made herself over.
Yes, it’s incredibly far-fetched that a non-twin sibling could make herself over to look identical to her sister, but Kate Collins did such a stellar job.
The storyline has become iconic.

What you think of Dr. Jonathan Kinder?
I thought Michael Sabatino did a fine job in the role.
I believe they briefly had a different actor portray Dr. Kinder originally.

I was going to ask what was this cyber storyline. I watched AMC that year and LOVED it. In general, I thought early/mid 90s on AMC were just awesome. But I cannot remember Charlie/Cicely having this storyline at all. LOL I remember them and I know that they were a couple, but just don't remember them having an internet romance. lolI
I believe they both worked at a detective agency and started chatting on the internet computers at the agency, not knowing who the other was in reality.0 -

How in the world did I forget these scenes with David and Kat on GL? Was this the first time the N word was used on a soap?
No.The ‘N’ Word was used on AMC in January 1992, when Terrence was attacked by the 2 white racists at the gym.
I don’t know if that was the first time ever on a soap, though.
