  1. Ugh I forgot all about that! Dumb ho. Idiot just parrots whatever she hears. If she was an undercover lesbian during her Chrisshun/re-virginated years, sometimes the ones most in denial are the loudest antis. I don't think Kandi denied her claims, she pretty much said "I am very open about sex" on The Talk but denied that she and Porsha ever did it. Which is consistent with what she is saying on the show. However, I do think Porsha's allegations have Kandi's back against the wall to a certain extent. The fact is, Kandi IS open about sex and sex toys and the like. But she's kept her private arrangements quiet. I don't recall her talking about threesomes and female partners until this season tbh. The rumors were there before, but she and Todd never directly acknowledged them. Which I can understand as it is their private bedroom business and they don't have to explain themselves. But Porsha has brought that out onto the show now. And while Kandi is smarter than Porsha and has the upper hand in their back-and-forths, Porsha (and Phaedra's) tea spilling has put her on the defensive. She was defensive on Sunday's episode, and judging by the previews she is going to be even more defensive in the next episode. Porsha's claims have upset her.
  2. Me watching RHoA episode like Did anybody catch Cynthia's comment about Porsha and lines though?? Kandi wasn't the only one spilling tea. Cynthia's talking heads and reactions were the enjoyable parts of this episode. I did NOT need to see her vadge rejuvenation, however. I also felt so bad for Riley having to go through that cringeworthy recording. It wasn't even Kim Zolciak-recording-Tardy-for-the-Party enjoyable. While most of us already knew about this gossip, IA that it has made the show dark and murky with these threats to 'destroy' each other's reputations/marriage etc. Both Kandi and Porsha are Going There and as a result it's about to get nastier. Especially at Reunion. I don't think Porsha has quite lost herself that HW's paycheck, though. Not after this episode. Also because Carlos King... ahem, thinks she's great for the show. It's sad to think that Porsha was presented as a borderline debutante/Christian wife/civil rights royalty, and now she is (allegedly) a busy hooker with a nose for blow. Or maybe the deb/Christian wife was just a cover, as Kandi suggests, in which case, that is even sadder. As for Kandi, I doubt she was thrilled about the 'Marvin' revelations.
  3. It is a cold world. A lot of these footballers are trainees when they are 15. Then at 18 or 19, they might make the first team. Suddenly they get a couple thousand a week. These boys, mostly white or black, usually come from working class or very poor backgrounds. Football is the way out. They are making more in a week than their parents made in a month. And some haven't been taught how to save & spend. So they spend it on the Footballer Lifestyle. Payments on a Porsche, a mortgage on a designer pad, and brand-name clothes. Money on parties and ladies. Because you want to be taken seriously by your fellow players and the press. They are reading about Cristiano Ronaldo who lives large and gets over $500,000 a week. A WEEK. That is crazy money. They think all they need is a lucky break and Man United will snap them right up and give them that salary. But 99.9% don't get snapped up like that. Most will play in the mid- and low-table teams, and it's a hard slog to avoid relegation. Moreover, they've just met their girlfriend, and she likely comes from the same background they do. She wants better than what she grew up with, too. She wants the house that looks like a Disney castle, and the boob job and Maloof Hoofs (think Tanya). She wants to keep up with the other footballers' wives. So that means more money spent and an even bigger mortgage. As long as that weekly salary remains in 4 digits, everything should be ok. But suddenly, you hit 35 and nobody wants to sign you. You become a civilian again. You have to downsize your lifestyle. You hope to get into coaching, but maybe you don't have the skills (most coaches now have degrees in sports education). You hope to get into TV punditry (like Lineker). But just as foreign players in the Premiership got the biggest salaries, so too do they get the most offers to appear on TV. Because they were bought over as already-big names. TV would rather a world-famous Dutchman who speaks English perfectly than a grunt from Sunderland FC. So these ex footballers go a different direction, maybe flipping houses or a landscaping business. But you have to have some savings and be wiley with your money. It's easy for ex players addicted to the old lifestyle to get caught out. I think Ashley Ward got caught out. And he got caught out because once Dawn got the TV job, they figured the lavish lifestyle could continue unabated. Sorry, that was a really long essay, but the economics of footballer life is a fascinating thing here. Being a footballer is considered a dream job. But this is also a country that looks down on people because of class, and football has always been considered strictly lower class. Because that's the background of most of the players. Yeah, I would say that Ampika is definitely somebody who needs to be in complete control of her finances. Even though she has a nice lifestyle and (probably) a nice alimony, she has a business and she never wants to feel worried about money. I think she's probably OCD about it. It's probably why Dawn would never ask her for money. Leanne, though, was Dawn's BFF and viewed her like a sister, and that's why she agreed to the loan. Unfortunately, just like money is the #1 cause of marriages breaking up, so too can it cause friendship breakups. This is amazing. And Shamea's face at the end when Porsha lamely claims she's got a lot of info about Kandi is a PICTURE.
  4. I can't take the credit. I am only a casual viewer of RHoCh. In fact, I am rewatching the first ever episode right now. I think it was DaytimeFan and possible Cheap who linked to stories about the Wards. It was never me. Sorry! Speaking from what I know of Dawn Ward via the tabloids and the first season, it seems clear to me that she and her husband were mortgaged to the back teeth. For an EX footballer (unless they are top-tier walking brand like David Beckham) to afford an 11-bedroom grand manor like that, outright? Not possible They wouldn't have the savings. Two live-in maids and a butler? Who is paying those salaries? That fully-staffed interior design company looked like a loss-maker too. I'm not surprised the Wards are in heavy debt, but their credit must be particularly poor because instead of going to the bank (where they probably already owe money), they went to friends to borrow money. That's worrying. I also wondered whether Lauren's husband was losing money and that's why he hated her OTT shopping. IA with NBA -- I think Magali could ask to come back to the show and the producers would snap her up. The rivalry between those two alpha females Dawn and Magali has never been topped (and it's pretty much why I haven't kept up with later seasons of RHoCh). The irony is that Magali was probably the one who lived the most frugally and within her family's means on that show (a beautiful but regular family home, no outsized McMansions and crazy cosmetic surgeries for her) but she is the one who walked away from the TV money first.
  5. It's John Waters' conservative twin brother.
  6. I thought they mentioned he was a nice Jewish boy from Mexico City. He was born and spent part of his childhood there before his family moved to CA. I'm assuming he has dual (or even tri-) nationality. Rinna played dumb and it was a bad mistake, especially as she and Eileen made it their mission to destroy LVP over something similar and even more innocuous last season. I get that Eileen is ride-or-die for her girl. But Rinna just needs to OWN that she is an incorrigible gossip. It keeps BH's wheels turning after all and it's not the worst character flaw in the world. When she backtracks or pretends like she doesn't know, it makes things 1000% times worse. The cover-up can be worse than the crime! ETA: Eileen is defending Rinna on her blog and saying "It's complicated/she didn't mean it." After the way she went after LVP last season like a rottweiler for apparently 'forcing' Rinna to mention the M word about StalinYolanda, I really can't forgive her attitude now. What's good for the goose is good for the gander, Nagleen!
  7. Ooo interesting theory. You're probably right, especially as didn't Sheree bring Porsha to Kenya's housewarming to stir up drama? Or maybe that was Phaedra. And I wouldn't put it past Wig trying to keep herself in contention for Season 10. She looks like she is trying to do the most in that clip.
  8. Why is Kenya going after Wig in that clip? I get that Kenya considers herself queen of RHOA. I get that she creates drama like nobody else. I get that she watched the show before appearing, may have met Kim briefly and heard allll about her from three other HWs. But Kenya cannot change history. She was not on the show during seasons 1 to 5 or whenever it was that Lazy Ass quit. She hasn't got the direct history that Sheree, Kandi, Phaedra, Nene and even Cynthia have with Kim. Kenya did not try to pull off her wig or give her the name Wig or tell her to CLOSE YOUR LEGS TO MARRIED MEN. Much as she wishes she had. I feel like she should have stayed in her lane and let Sheree or Kandi do the snarking. She did the same thing when Sheree came back and she went after her about 'Chateau Shebroke' like they have a history together.
  9. Word on the street [(c) Aviva, (c) Carole saying "There is no word, there is no SHTREET"] is that the RHoDallas ladies are not getting paid anything, and that's why season 2 is actually happening. Because Bravo were able to keep salary costs to a minimum and the HWs are betting on a season 3 and a paycheck. This may explain why Tiffany has opted not to be part of the cast (so far it is Stephanie, Brandy, Cary and Crazy-Eyes). I'm guessing Keith Suburban's music career isn't bringing in the $$$. I still say they should have gone for Miami again with Lea, Adriana, Alexia, Marysol and Lisa
  10. Bulimia Jaw in that RHOT clip is clearly angling to be another Jody. I like the Hamlin girls for the very reason DF mentioned: they are completely normal and relatable. However, neither are model material and should not be encouraged as such. That is the road to bad plastic surgery (Brielle Zolciak *cough*), empty, broken dreams and ruin.
  11. SHE KILLED IT I've had my doubts about her in the past -- and I still have doubts about her longevity, but her vocal talent and her poppiest hits are without contest. Amazing half time performance! She gave it everything!
  12. I enjoyed the Stephanie-Brandi friendship and that Resting Bitch Face who was married to the plastic surgeon, but the farting/poo talk was too much. Also, Leanne Locken and her BFF were trying to do the most and it fell flat. Leanne just looked crazy. I am on the fence as to whether the show should have been given a second season because I fear it will give LeAnn a long leash to indulge in her worst impulses. I tried to like Potamac, I really did but the charity/etiquette stuff... All these women's charitable foundations, and I'm not 100% sure where the money goes either. With crown jewels ATL and BH looking a little lacklustre these days, I'm wondering whether Bravo should revive Miami tbh. I am currently rewatching Season 2 and it was on FIRE. I know it's been a few years now and lots of things have happened (Alexia and Herman have divorced, for example; Lisa and Lenny finally had a baby by surrogate) but I would still be interested in checking in with those two, as well as Lea, Adriana and possibly the thirstiest of the thirsty, Marysol. Throw in Lauren Foster and Ana as FOH and maybe a Cuban newbie (no, I don't want the unlikeable Joanna Krupka back), and it might be more exciting than a show like Dallas.
  13. Omg bless you for that. Twennyfive THOUzind was Dana Wilkey and she was gif worthy. From sucking up to Kyle and Kim, to begging Camille to take her to Hawaii, to then shitting on 'those bitches' one year later:
  14. RHoBH: Wow. I was not super excited to watch this week's episode and put it off until today. I just have not been feeling the chemistry between the current HWs and the newbies. And much as I dislike Kim, I'm kind of over poking at her sobriety in order to create a SL for myself. Which is what Rinna and Eileen have been doing. Interesting to see Eileen backpedal BIG-TIME this week, yapping to Kyle about her 'wonderful' conversation with Kim. Everybody is sucking up to Kyle this season! Maybe that's why she looks so fabulous at the moment. But this episode was actually good! I enjoyed Rinna's bbq. The backyard was gorgeous. And I still think Harry Hamlin is the Sexiest Man Alive. Even with dad pants and sneakers, HH (and his sexy voice) still blows all the wannabe pipsqueaks who've been declared SMA out of the water. Dorit is growing on me, and I think it's because she is so bubbly and upbeat. Despite being married to a grifter, sporting a fake accent and living in an empty, rented McMansion, she doesn't let bad vibes get her down. Maybe it's also the favourable comparison with Eden who is a walking rain-cloud and trying too hard to jump on the DrunkKim is My SL bandwagon. It's kind of like everybody looking at Trump and spying W at Trump's inauguration and for a moment wishing W was prez again. I used to think Kyle was an enabler for Kim, but now I don't think she is. I think Kyle wanted RHoBH to give Kim a purpose in life and turn her career around and help her quit her worst excesses. She spilled "You're sick and an alcoholic!" in season 1 in order to further incentivize Kim to do something. I also think she's been forced to be undercover about Kim's sobriety by her family and out of respect for Kim. She's in an impossible position because Kim's demons are a huge and she has no wish to acknowledge them. And as a result, she has no wish to acknowledge the booze and the pills she uses to block out her demons. Ugh, now I'm starting to sound like Eden! PK -- still gross and reminding me that with Dorit comes BH's very own grifting Peachter. The Great Gatsby party looked gorgeous. And finally LVP is involved with the women and their SLs after being iced out for a while ! And yeah, I do think Rinna, Eileen and Erika were careful to plan some of their filmed events without inviting LVP. Hope this Mexico trip brings some gorgeous locales and some drama!
  15. Yes, she is too obviously thirsty for a peach. She's always been thirsty af but clearly figured this camping trip was her one chance, so instead of carefully cultivating an insta-feud with Kenya like Sheree did, she went right in. The comment is just cruel. It's not funny or even 'good' shade. It's like when Nene told Claudia her ladybit wanted to quit her. It made Nene look bad, not Claudia. One person I like after this episode is Shamea. I don't know (and don't care) what the status of Kandi's relationship with Shamea is, but I do think Kandi cares a great deal for her. You could tell by the way she was talking to her, which is not the way Kandi talks to most of the other HWs. And Shamea seemed genuinely moved. Actually, if Bravo wanted to give Shamea a peach, I wouldn't be against it rn. I feel bad for Porsha because everybody is leaving her ass high and dry, like Kandi, Phaedra and even Shamea. Oh well, that's what happens when you play with girls who actually have two braincells to rub together. Kenya bothered me this episode. Last week I felt she goaded Porsha about anger management (even though we all know Porsha has a 'wannabe thug lyfe' issue) and it wasn't a good look. But blowing up at Cynthia for calling her a drama queen (the God's honest truth)? After she twisted her arm to go talk to Matt on her behalf? Kenya, next time, go talk to Matt your own damn self if you're not happy with Cynthia's wording of her defense of you. He is your spoiled, tantrumy, anger-management problem now. (Having said that, I liked the convo between Cynthia and Matt because he seemed to actually listen to her voice of reason -- at the time).
  16. RHoBH: Erika is extremely watchable, and I love her persona in the VTs. But she is also very icy, controlled and strategic. Her sudden admiration of Kyle is strategic, for example -- Kyle being a producer of RHoBH and much more malleable than LVP. There was a point in the episode when Erika waxed lyrical about talking to Kyle about 'mom' things "unlike those other fools who don't have a clue." I'm sure Eileen and Lisa Rinna, President and Treasurer of the Erika Jayne Fan Club, will be thrilled to hear this. Eileen especially has a massive girl crush on Erika, and I bet she was lowkey devastated she didn't get invited to Mykonos. I'd like to know how Eileen is reacting to these episodes given that Erika seems gently uninterested in forging a closer friendship with her. Maybe Reunion will be more interesting than I anticipated! I loved Kyle's phone convo with LVP and the fact that Portia wanted a sleepover with LVP and the ponies. Nevertheless, I have a feeling this may be LVP's last season. Once you admit to being queen, the countdown is on for a new queen. LVP is not really involved in events with lots of women, and I feel that the lack of comment in blogs by Erika, Eileen and Rinna is deafening. They sort of want to ease her out by denying her existence. Dorit was winning me over at the beginning of the episode, but lost me when she yapped about Lisa Rinna's vitamin Ziploc. I take some multi-vitamins and recognised some in her bag! I don't think she's a massive druggie, but there may be some Adderall in there too to 'keep the weight down.' Eden is pushing too much, and I can see why she didn't get a diamond this season. The thirst is real! Somebody boned up on House of Hilton. I'm side-eyeing the starry-eyed memories of Kim and Kyle about their 'wonderful' mom who lived off their careers and pimped them out to the richest men at the Polo Lounge (literally, it is a MIRACLE that Kyle prioritised marrying for love and giving her daughters a real family life). However, do we really need to rehash Kim's sobriety again? The audience knows Kim isn't just a recovering alcoholic, but also abuses prescription medication -- which seems a perfectly acceptable habit in Hollywood since Eden copped to it, too. I just can't deal with another season of Kim in Cujo Mode.
  17. @Nothin'ButAttitude IA this is game changing -- almost as game-changing as when RHoNY fired Jill, Kelly, Alex and the grumpy chick. Moreover, still no word on Kelly Dodd -- I'm guessing her hubby and family probably do not want her to re-sign, and Andy isn't too enamoured of her either. Shannon hasn't said if she will continue. Andy *LOVES* her, but she did threaten to quit if Vicki stayed. I would LIVE if Jeana came back as a heavily involved FOH. I love that Jeana has never pretended to be someone she isn't and was open with her faults and problems as much as her ups. I would also love Lizzie back as she takes no BS, and she and Shannon have fallen out over Vicki. Gretchen? Eh. I hesitate. And it's not just because Slade is a [!@#$%^&*] albatross around her neck. She was pretty basic, and when she was fired, it was clear the franchise was trying to move on up in terms of aspirational lifestyle. Her budget business ventures all seemed to be on a par with Alexis Couture. The one thing she does have going for her is that she sends Tamra into fits of Exorcist-like rage.
  18. The backlash must be strong. I'm assuming she decided on a tactical retreat, possibly because there were stories surfacing about Terry's alleged cheating a few months ago. I don't know if they are true or just part of the backlash. Maybe she was worried they would pop up on the show -- you know how Tamra can turn on a 'friend.'
  19. Dang. http://www.bravotv.com/the-daily-dish/heather-dubrow-confirms-leaving-real-housewives-of-orange-county I don't know how I feel about this. On the one hand, she's a bore with the house building stuff. OTO, she's an evil witch and I live for Kelly bringing her down. Even though she and Terry never met a camera they didn't like, I guess the backlash got severe enough that the Jutting Jaw of Doom felt it was time to run. I wonder what that means for Shannon. I hope Shannon stays for drama purposes.
  20. lol Bummed about Trailer Park coming back, but are we even surprised? Tamra is the sharkiest of all housewives. Can't fault her moxy or her plotting skills, but she really is an awful excuse for a human. As much as I hate Alexis and Gretchen, both were horribly bullied by Tamra and she was completely encouraged by production to keep doing what she was doing. I just hope that THIS is the season she finally gets called to the carpet. I don't count Season 9 as a takedown -- it was hardly the all-kill that Vicki has had to endure the last few years. Plus this was some baaaaaad acting on a par with Heather 'crying.' I'm assuming Shannon will be back for another year of self-aggrandising victim-playing. I would have thought the boob flashing thing was small potatoes after Trampa mom-pimped her own son on 'naked wasted' Gretchen! Luckily Ryan realized Gretchen was all mic-ed up and I'm guessing the cameraman interrupted them before it could go any further. However, the fact that Tamra was given a free pass for that incident by Bravo meant that they really have no grounds to stop her now. Can you imagine if Gretchen had had the brain power to file an attempted rape suit? To this day, Andy still views Naked Wasted as a punchline. And a pic of Vicki's boob... I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't want to see it. But Brooks has given me much worse visuals about Vicki's body with just his words.
  21. No problem! If you watch the show, you should have little trouble spotting the street as LoL does do a lot of outdoor shots of the street and her house.
  22. I have finally caught up on LoL. I really love this show! Not that I live their lifestyle, but the locations mean a lot to me because I live here, too. I walk past Caroline Fleming's townhouse in Chelsea almost every evening home from work (it is gorgeous with a HUGE glossy black front door and literally a beautiful jungle of ivy and plants outside her front window). Their friendships are fairly authentic; as Caroline Stanbury said, she's known most of the group excluding Julie for about 20 years. It's not as if we didn't already know that Juliet is an awful person. I used to joke that if you open the dictionary at 'mediocre,' Juliet's picture would illustrate the entry. But the last few episodes we can see what a truly jealous, vile person she is too. I can only imagine that Juliet's innate mediocreness has finally caught up with her. She now realizes that next to the other women, she is completely lacking brains, sparkle, character, looks, home, money, and connections (as snobby as it sounds). She has nothing to offer except as Stanbury's lapdog and even then Caroline looks like she is over it. Seeing her go after a post-partum-depressed Marissa was a new low even for this dumb-dumb, and a producer must have eventually clued her in to how badly she was coming across, because she spent the rest of the episode trying to make it up to her. I love Sophie (and her gorgeous hair) but she is too much of a people-pleaser. IA with all of you about Caroline Fleming. IMO she is the most watchable lady this season. I love her kookiness, humor, no-nonsense attitude and boho-aristo demeanour. And her wardrobe! Having the husbands join them in Scotland made for a nice ending to the episode. It was nice to see and hear Cem, and I finally understood why he and Caroline S are a couple. They seem a good fit, and he calms her.
  23. You're right. Apart from Nene back in the day, none of the women are tight with Marlo. They enjoy her on a superficial level but always keep her at arms length. Every one of them views her as a rival and/or trouble. She would def need an ally/allies.
  24. lol I do think when she is asked to bring drama, Marlo more than steps up to the plate! I would personally love if some of the other women would 'discuss' where Marlo's wealth comes from. But yeah, probably Sheree and Phaedra are the only ones who would film with her outside of the cast trips. For now. Unless Kenya and Nene fall out with each other again.
