I get the idea that it hurts to be called out, but I thought that he would have said something much worse (like whether she has pimped out her daughter) based on their reaction. She has destroyed her face. Not much to deny there. Even thin-skinned Igloo didn't say a lot about the White Chicks jokes on her.

She needs to sue the nail technician 'doctor' who gave her and Brielle those lips. It looks like they injected cement in there and now there is an allergic reaction.

It's sad that she has destroyed her looks, she was pretty in her blousy, wig-wearing way of the early seasons! Somebody already mentioned on this thread that it would be interesting if there was a HW SL about addiction to plastic surgery, to the point of having to correct bad surgery. Not that I want Kim to return to RHOA or anything, but she would be a natural for a SL like this. However, Kim is so wedded to the Barbie/Kardashian-beauty ideal that she honestly does not think she looks bad at all. She's always been delusional that way. It's too bad she doesn't have people around her who feel they can point out a mistake like this, but Kim never liked criticism, even if it was constructive.

RHOP: Potomac is riding on a high. They did not come to play this season. However, there are a plethora of hypocrites this year. For one, Ashley, Robyn, and Gizelle should not be counting Karen's coins when they all don't have a pot to p*ss in themselves. All of them rely on their male partners to stay afloat. I found it weird too that they thought it was weird that Karen/Ray have different accounts. It's called being smart. Everyone with a brain knows that money is the root of evil and demise of all marriages. That's why Karen is still married while Gizelle/Robyn are divorced and Ashley is on her way to being divorced. Karen went of the jugular when she brought up Michael abroad playing with them twinks! It was valid too as Ashley loves to call out everyone else's deeds but doesn't like her own transgressions thrown in her face. Gizelle is a mean, nasty b-tch. I don't find it cute at all that she is basking in the misfortune of Karen's finances. I find it gross. Gizelle has no read of the audience at all. She tries so hard to be shady thinking the audience will like it, and she's comes off as foul and unlikeable. Andy's plan to make Gizelle the "it girl," which I never found her to be, is gonna blow up on both of them. Much like Erika, the audience is gonna turn on another one of his favorites.

Gizelle and her new beau. Do we care? I don't. He's old and out of shape and presumably wealthy? I guess she is getting what she want$. Gizelle is a mean bitch with an ugly heart.

The Grande Dame's "press conference" was a hot steaming mess. However, I do not understand why the rest of the women are so stupid as to not realize that Karen kept her finances separate from Ray for the exact reason that's happening before our eyes? He's her second husband, she probably earned an income from his businesses as an income splitting decision (perfectly legal) and she kept her finances separate so that in the event his ship sinks, she stays afloat. That's smart.

Agreed on Gizelle. I notice that whenever Andy fawns over a HW and hypes her up, that HW usually (though not always -- see Margaret) tends to be petty, mean and quite hollow and vapid. Andy is all about the surface, as he admits. Erika is one of his faves, so is Melissa, and, astoundingly, Gizelle is another. I never understood why he is so crazy about Gizelle when all her 'reads' and VTs sound scripted and over-rehearsed. There are much more witty and compelling people on RHOP imo. Gizelle is someone who has coasted on her Vanessa Williams-esque looks but not done much else (unlike the hard-working, smart and empathetic Ms. Williams who rebuilt her acting career from the ground up when she hit her late 40s).

Clearly Gizelle, Robyn and Ashley will keep coming for Karen now that Charrisse isn't there to do their dirty work. It makes me laugh at the hypocrisy considering their own situations. Ray Huger is in hot water with the IRS, and Karen is obviously trying to save face, and it is arguably the most riveting story on Potomac this season. But Karen and Ray separating their finances and tax returns was long-term smart. Robyn is trying to make the separate tax returns a shady issue, like why would you file separately when you get a modest write-off to file jointly? But Robyn is clearly v short-term in her approach to money since she is already spending Juan's paycheck before he even got it. Karen and Ray were likely advised by their financial adviser years ago to file separately -- as I myself have been advised to do in the past. The whole convo underscores just how dependent Gizelle, Robyn and Ashley are on their men to provide them with even basic living expenses. The Hugers are in financial difficulties but Karen still has some income she can call her own and not have to ask Ray for.

This is AMAZING. Kandi shut her down and nailed the trap door shut just as surely as she will on ATL next week.

I especially love how Kandi pointed out that Tardy is not pulling in the ratings it once did and, by implication, its future is in question. Indeed, that is the reason why Kim did S10 of ATL in the first place. Her lazy ass would never have bothered unless she felt she had to land another show before Tardy is cancelled.

If Tardy gets yet another season or two, Kim can thank another predominately AA show, M2M, which helped to bring in new viewers and demos for that entire Friday evening death slot.

Dorinda's new talking head with her hair combed back and the large collared shirt makes her look like a butch lesbian. I'm getting some Susan Flannery feels there. Meanwhile, Sonja looked like an entirely different person in one of her shots.

Not just a different person -- a different gender! Cheap got this great shot. She literally looks like a man whose child put make-up and a scraggly wig on him while he was sleeping. And I think Sonja is gorgeous 99.9% of the time!

I'm interested in seeing where this "renewed" (NYC's signature word) Sonja takes us. I wonder if LuAnn's drunken arrest will cause Sonja to keep it sober from now on. Doesn't one of the housewives reevaluated their alcohol intake post-LuAnn's ordeal? Pretty much everyone other than Carole or Bethenny love to get sauced. Selfishly, I hope Dorinda never goes sober for good.

lol I beg to differ -- Miss Skinnygirl herself loves to hit the bottle -- it's just that she plies her co-stars with alcohol, too, so that she looks better in comparison (because Sonja and Dorinda cannot handle their booze). Exhibit A: Mexico last year.

Also, the streets are sayin [(c) Mama Joyce] that Carole gets stoned. Often. Like her close friend Andy Cohen.

I too sort of hope Dorinda keeps slurring and CLIPping (in a healthy, high-functioning way of course). Selfish, I know, but she's a lot of fun both sober and sauced.

Carole with the marathon is the most she has contributed to the show in a couple of seasons.  Why she and Tinsley remain as full time I'll never understand.

Absolutely! She is showing us more than she ever has. Carole is actually vaguely relevant this season. No more watching her kittens ( or "ki--ins") rip up Lee Radziwill's mid-century couch. No more hipstery man-bun boyfriend breathing through his mouth. No more vegan-couples cookbook that no publishing house wants. She's had a face lift, fillers, chopped her hair, dyed it an awful blonde, and is trying to get in shape. She's being awful to Luann? LOL karma will get her this season. Luann is popular, and that's why Bethenny has migrated to Lu's side. I'm going to enjoy openly-villainous Carole instead of the bully's sidekick who hid behind her more powerful friends throwing daggers.

As for Tinsley, there is only one reason she came back, and that is Mr. Coupon Cabin himself, Scott Kluth. The Unicorn [(c) @DaytimeFan ]. She had a good thing with this amazing guy and now it seems to have gone south. Personally, I would rather Tinsley's mother Dale (Dayyyyle) was a HW than Tinsley:

  5. NYC!

Carole being the season villain and breaking up with Bethenny is the most relevant she has been in over three years. I am going to enjoy hating on her and Tinsley. Still, having to put up with Bethenny all this time couldn't have been easy. Bethenny is a b!tch to all these women and thank god at least Ramona stands up to her.

Ramona as Britney Spears (Ooops I Did It Again era) was the best costume at Dorinda's Hallowe'en party.

I was horrified when I saw Sonja's talking head. WHO applied that make-up on her? Rocco? She looked like a straight man in a Marilyn Monroe costume.

Seeing Luann in her Diana Ross costume was uncomfortable, although I don't think it came from a malicious place. She did look an awful lot like Rachel Dolezal, however.

Could you just imagine what she would be saying about that right about now.

I believe someone even asked her about that on Twitter recently.

    How did she respond?

    ETA: Found it!

I love that she answered for herself!  She's the best! I think the "2" she is referring to are Faye and Erika.

She also said she would never return: http://twitter.com/_KathrynEdwards/status/976302914682568704

And it was Erika and Eileen apparently. Wow. She spoke the truth about Erika with this one:

Cuz she was given a pass by EVERYONE on her language, lack of underwear (yes, even back then) & lack of respect 2 all, including crew. She spends a ton of $, that goes far. She sure cleaned up her mouth after her first season. Has she called anyone an F’in C___ again? Not my fav

    I probably liked Sonja's best...

I know Kenya is polarizing but I was disappointed at how many people were defending and supporting Michael Rappaport for his attacks against her. He has a history of these comments about black women.

I like Lu's the best. And ITA about Michael Rappaport. He's always trying to make himself 'be seen' with this RH obsession. The monkey pic alongside Kenya's was especially egregious. How can anybody think that kind of 'joking' is ok?

I sort of wish Tinsley wasn't part of this cast. I find her a weak link. Don't hate me lol.

I loved Potomac’s premiere. Looks like they’ll have their third good season in a row. I must say I don’t understand the glee about Karen’s situation after they gave Ashley a hard time for looking into Robyn’s background. I expected her to be the main one advocating for them to give her space.  Ashley, Monique and Karen remain the standouts for me. Gizelle is gorgeous but she’s not very likable and Robyn is a fool for moving to a bigger house with a man who don’t want her. She should’ve stayed where she was at and stack her coins. As much as I love Ashley I can’t understand why she’s paying anything for her mom when she don’t have the money herself. She needs to secure the bag for herself first. She should’ve been had a baby if she were smart.

In other news, I’ve decided to rewatch RHOA on Hulu and I’d forgotten how juicy the first two seasons were. I’m midway through season 2 and Kandi came out the gate a star. She’s always been a gift to this show showing her full life and everybody in it. Good or bad I always ride with Kandi bc she’s been more authentic (willingly) than anybody and as the rIchest on this franchise she certainly doesn’t have to be but I love that she is. She doesn’t get most of the attention but she’s truly the glue that holds this show together and keeps it grounded.

The other big big thing I noticed was what a good housewife Lisa Wu was. I loved her friendship with nene and I think she could’ve brought a lot to future seasons. I don’t think Bravo wanted her to go, but she didn’t want her money and relationship problems with Ed filmed. I wish she’d stuck it out because a comeback story with her would’ve been interesting to watch and I think she’d still fit in.

This is what I've been saying!!!! How is Robyn buying her kids all those team items (that sh*t gets expensive) AND looking for a bigger place? Juan is only coaching at a state college. That's middle income AT BEST, not the big leagues. He could be fired at any time, and he could hook up with a rich lady and leave her ass for real at any time. She needs to sit on that rental in Hanover, pay off some debts, bank that Bravo cheque, put away some savings (even though she's probably banking on her kids getting full sports scholarships for college) and keep her head down money-wise. And she DEFINITELY shouldn't look down at the Hugers' IRS troubles because we know the IRS gets its best info from the RH. I'll bet they are sniffing around her and Juan's finances.

Early RHOA is so good. I watched Seasons 1-3 not so long ago. S1 ATL is the best first season of any franchise. I LMAO at delulu Kim thinking she was a country singer and the recording engineer at the studio literally wincing when she started to sing and turning down the volume! Nene's story about her mom and finding her biological father was very affecting too. Kandi was a great addition. I did like Lisa Wu a lot, but I also thought Phaedra (her replacement) was better. She was shady (verbally and financially) from the start. I would have liked to see Lisa come back, though. She eventually divorced Ed which I was always sad about because they seemed genuinely into each other and had a strong bond.

Remember how they introduced Katherine, when Rinna essentially talked to her like once in her life?

For some reason, I actually believed they had crossed paths before, lol. Just the way she was teasing Rinna about being thin. I'm so gullible! But then again I loved Kathryn and think Bravo was too hasty to fire her. She had chemistry with a lot of the cast.

  8. 4 minutes ago, Antoyne said:

What Andy said about the cast being friends off-camera is exactly why NY is the best series. All of the other shows, it's very clear none of them see each other until it's time to film.

I would agree. Dorinda is the best recent addition to any RH show because it was such an organic choice. Sonja, Ramona and Luann all recommended her after knowing for a number of years. It makes a change from OC Meghan (shudder) pretending to know Kelly Dodd when it is clear they've never laid eyes on each other and have zero in common. Even BH Dorit said she'd only met LVP briefly before filming started.

I have seen pics of Margaret hanging out with Teresa, Melissa, Dolores and Danielle off-season so in a sense NJ has that bond -- sometimes.

  9. Candiace seems very feisty and outgoing. It's a love-match with her and Monique!

Now you know I love Karen, but she is clearly putting up a front for the ladies and the audience. She is trying to save face. Looking back on the episode, it struck me how empty that big ole Great Falls mansion was. It reminded me of Teresa Giudice's McMansion after she and Joe had to sell off half the furnishings. I noticed in the season teaser that nosy-parkers Gizelle and Ashley dress up as pizza deliverymen  and ring the doorbell and the place seems totally empty. Do you think this mansion is staged for the cameras and that Karen and Ray live somewhere else (somewhere smaller)? That place looks way too big for the two of them and, frankly, beyond their current means and circumstances.

Also when Ray was talking to Karen on-camera about the tax lien, it seemed to be the first conversation they had in days.

  10. @Nothin'ButAttitude Saw Kenya on WWHL. T H I S is the Kenya have been waiting for all season -- nay, for two seasons! First of all, she looked PHENOMENAL. That hair, that dress, those legs, those shoes, her makeup -- she was legit stunning. I noticed she kept her stomach well hidden. But best of all was the way she shaded Michael Rappaport so effortlessly, without breaking a sweat. She left him bumbling, dazed and confused.

I had to look up exactly what their beef was about, and it was way back when Porsha physically attacked Kenya at Reunion, and MR supported Porsha for doing so. Because Kenya is "the villain," according to him. So I applaud her for standing her ground on that issue.

Andy was so shady for booking the two together. But I think it was clear to him by the end why Kenya should be back next season. She had Andy and the audience and even M-m-m-Michael in the palm of her hand by the end of that show.

    ATL

There wasn't much for me to comment on this episode -- as has been the case all season. The execution this year has been woeful. I think Nene & Greg as Exterminator & Roach should have won 1st prize.

Eva Marcille is still meh to me. She looked beautiful in her Cleopatra costume but her voice doesn't stand out and isn't distinctive. If anything, she sounds whiny and nasally. I don't know why that bugs me but it does. You can't shade properly with that Valley whine.

    POTOMAC

The show I have been waiting for ALL WEEK! Even though Bravo had already put up three-quarters of the episode on YouTube.

First of all, this says everything about Karen and why I love her:

    8 hours ago, Nothin'ButAttitude said:

I don't care but I live for Karen! I love her and all her delusions. She might be delusional, but she does still hold center court! The whole episode was about the Grand Dame.

My only gripe about tonight is that none of these chicks can comment off Karen's situation when they have murky situations of their own.

She is totally delulu but her and her story still dominates and drives this show. She is the OG as far as I am concerned. I was anticipating her lunch with pea-brained Robyn who foolishly thought she was going to speak truth to power. LMAO! Robyn who lets her trifling ex cheat on her but climb back into bed on Sundays. And she proudly admitted it in tonight's episode! Robyn is so weak. She actually thinks this is some kind of reward. And WTG spending all of Juan's new coaching cheque and moving into a bigger place. What happened to settling your debts first??

Speaking of debts, I was honestly dumbfounded that it didn't occur to the other women that Karen files separate tax statements from her husband and his business. Because I'm pretty sure some of these ladies (side-eyes Gizelle, Robyn, Charrisse) have done some murky IRS sh*t! I have been filing my own tax returns since I left college and started working. These girls are true dependants in the worst case of the word. How have they never kept a little savings or trading account for themselves and declared it as a separate entity? Karen has the right idea to keep her money and the BBG's separate. How messy would it have been if the BBG was giving Karen a household allowance out of his own company's piggybank?

All of them are going after Karen to an extent, but seeing Cha-Cha-Charrisse there, bobbing her Cleopatra wig as she tried to elbow her way into the camera's eyeline was the worst. She's so eager to milk Karen's hard times because it makes her feel better about her own unpaid-champagne-room situation.

I keep forgetting Monique is on the show. Ooops.

So glad this show has started tho!! I am excited for the season.

RHONY are hitting the ground running. Dealing with the divorce right off the bat, but in a way that feels familiar and comforting -- at Dorinda's home over tea and food. Dorinda did the same thing with Ramona after her divorce in S7. In fact, that scene was her introduction to the show.

Luann looks good in her VT.

  12. Kim's lips are OUT. OF. C O N T R O L.

Wtf is Porsha doing wearing a tiara? She thinks she's Meghan Markle now? I do love her dress though. As @Chris B said, they are the best-dressed Reunion crowd, and it has been that way year after year.

Eva 'threatening' to go into labor was so meh. And Sheree calling up Prison Bae so he could say those things about Nene was even more meh.

Bravo is not letting it slip if Kenya is preggers or not... but her face does look more filled out.

Holy [!@#$%^&*] are pigs flying? Giselle and Ashley as friends? Sunday can’t come soon enough.

I know! It's really noticeable between the BH teaser and the two Potomac ones, which show is the more gripping and compelling. Potomac doesn't have the blingy wealth, but like M2M it does have women who are going through something real and have a bond with each other, and some measure of empathy. I remember last season's reunion and the audible gasp when Ashley admitted she and Michael had separated. Gizelle was especially affected, maybe she saw something of her own marriage breakup in that news. At any rate, I like that it has brought the two of them closer together and they can lean on each other a little bit. This is a better look for Gizelle. I am looking forward to liking her more this season!

  14. Finally watched BH, it was a better episode than I anticipated. Nothing much happened and what did happen was petty as f*ck (which goes for the entire season). However, it was nice to see some intercontinental jet-setting. And the interaction between the women was light-hearted. Even the Nanny Kay (for a moment I thought LVP said "Danny Kaye") stuff. I liked seeing everybody getting along and gently ribbing each other. Moments like these, I feel like Erika and LVP could be friends, so could Dorit and Teddi. Alas, Rinna still sounds bitter and salty AF towards LVP.

    All of this.

Especially the portion about Kyle. I've been saying this for years but Kyle is no one's friend. People should be well aware of that given how she threw Kim under the bus to provide her with years of story.

    5 hours ago, DaytimeFan said:

Exactly. Kyle is just awful. Her big fake laugh and big insincere smile. I can't think of a moment where she was anything less than totally selfish.

Not just Kim -- although that was awful how viciously she humiliated Kim in front of Adrienne and Ken's friend in the limo. BH S1 screened here recently, and Kyle set Camille up all season to look like the bitch. She was deathly afraid Camille would steal the spotlight. The crux of their fight was whether Kyle said to Camille off-camera "Why would you show up to an event without Kelsey Grammer?" The implication being nobody knows Camille without her famous husband. Kyle denied saying it, but I can 100% picture her spouting those words with her overly-loud seal-laugh (while throwing her own marriage in Camille's face). Because there is nobody Kyle finds more witty and hilarious than herself.

Oh and ITA about Rinna. The jabs at LVP on Instagram weren't cute either. Don't bitch from a closet in the safety of your own home. Participate in the show or get off the pot. And at least one of the Hadid girls has a personality. Not so with the Hamlin offspring.

    8 hours ago, Nothin'ButAttitude said:

They just need to have a 90 minute reunion b/c ain't no way you can get more than one episode from this dull ass season.

    RHOP sneak peek:

I have been thinking about Potomac all week. I cannot wait for it to start. This looks good! It's always goosebumps time when Robyn starts to lose it. She and Ashley have butted heads for a while. Ashley is always asking her about the arrangement with Juan and Robyn never really gives her an answer that satisfies.

And one 90 minute reunion is more than enough for BH this season. <_<

  16. 1 hour ago, Gray Bunny said:

Yes to all this. Kenya found herself the whole package.

Meanwhile, anyone know just HOW Sheree affords the Chateau? I know it's in her mom's name, but like, what does Sheree DO? Other than Bravo checks, which is no guarantee (see: seasons 5 through 8) and will not last forever, where does she get any source of income?

I can only speak to what I have read on Tamara Tattles -- TT is Atlanta-based with a fair knowledge of legal court documents, and she's seen some of the ones pertaining to Sheree. She even got sued by Sheree at one time (and Sheree lost!). She has good local sources.

Apparently there is no income coming in, apart from a Bravo check (I don't believe the 'book' that she 'wrote' is bringing in much cash). The Bravo checks are not enough to cover the costs of upkeep of such a place, LET ALONE the back-pay she owes contractors, gardeners, furnishing companies, etc. FYI Sheree apparently does not live at Chateau Sheree as it is uninhabitable -- no air con, no heating, no damp prevention measures, no certificate of occupancy. Sheree shows up to film at Chateau Sheree when necessary and the rooms are then staged with furniture. She had to get the contractors in last season when she returned to RHOA full-time and promised Bravo she would do a big party at the 'finished' Chateau Sheree. The contractors who did her front lawn and driveway and furnished the kitchen and bathrooms, etc, are currently all suing Sheree for the money she said she would pay them for that work. Sheree is ducking and diving and saying they didn't do a good job and why should she have to pay for bad work, blah blah. In other words, she has no money to pay them with. There has never been money to pay the suppliers, ever since Season 1 when she was in hock to her seamstresses, party planners, and Dwight.

If Sheree is in cahoots with a fraudster like Tyrone who owes millions regarding securities and wire fraud, well, maybe that is no accident. Either she believes that after his release from the pokey, Prison Bae will cover her deluded ass with gold and diamonds.... or she wants in on some scamming herself?

  17. Sheree shading Marc because he works in another city is hilarious considering (a) he does actually work -- as a well-regarded NYC chef, no less -- and (b) he is not incarcerated. In other words, he can fly to Atlanta whenever he wants! Kenya hit the jackpot with him, as far as I can see.

Sheree, meanwhile, is conducting a relationship with a prison inmate who is not due for release until 2022. Way to go, Sheree.
