  1. I've been thinking about that as well. I'd add Brian to the mix. This thread needs a conservative voice. No, it doesn't.
  2. This tax information had Trump Tower listed as the return address. And here is the really interesting part; It's Marla Maples' copy. Make that of what you will.
  3. This doesn't sound good at all. A revival would be better than a reboot, but even a revival would be terrible in the wrong hands. Kristina would be in her early 30s now, so she could possibly be in a power struggle for Denver-Carrington with one of Fallon's children, Steven's son or Adam, who would obviously have Alexis in their corner. Or another possibility is that Kristina could be an environmental activist or politician against fracking, which would put her at odds with Denver-Carrington. One more story possibility is that she would have transitioned Denver-Carrington toward clean energy while some of her family did not want to go in that direction.
  4. A colleague of mine in New York said that she was talking politics with some young latinos and a lot of the Cubans say their parents say they'll never vote for Clinton because Bill sent Elian Gonzales back to Cuba. The older people are quite conservative, but Castro is enough of a deal breaker for them to just sit out.
  5. The sniffing and red eyes were indicative of Trump doing cocaine before the debate. Even Howard Dean and Michael Reagan acknowledged that.
  6. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/04/us/politics/donald-trump-supporters.html?_r=0 That seems deplorable to me. This didn't happen in 2012, 2008, 2004 and even before that. This is a not a normal election.
  7. Basket of Deplorables is a good phrase and I have to think that this was strategically planned out. That aside, what is far more concerning is that Trump stating that he would take military action over hand gestures.
  8. I don't think anyone is worried or thinks HRC wanted those votes nor does anyone want her to want them. And what she said was right but the question becomes how do people outside this fringe element react to what she said. I am a supporter of hers and while in some ways I praise it, saying it at a fundraiser with a bunch of Hollywood liberal elites is not the place. While the gist of what she said is not the same and is certainly not the same volume, it reeks of Romney's 47% comment. I know some don't want to see that, but that is the overall impression left. Romney spoke to a closed fundraiser where he thought the public wouldn't hear the comment, but someone secretly recorded him. The same is not true for Hillary, as she said it and knew she would be heard. No one outside of the fringe element is reacting to this, because it is clear exactly who was talking about. She specifically mentioned racists, xenophobes, etc. What she wants is to get suburban whites in her column and to drive minority turnout.
  9. A spade is a spade, let's not sugar coat it and accuse Hillary of being wrong or elitist for saying what we all know. Trump has attracted David Duke and most of the white nationalist bloc to his campaign, all of which are deplorable people. These people shout racist slurs and call for violence at rallies, which is deplorable. No one should walk on eggshells to preserve these people's feelings. Anyone offended by this comment was never going to vote for Clinton and was already backing Trump. The votes Clinton needs are not from racist whites. If you are worried about the feelings of racists, then you should be voting for Trump. These people are not going to change or like you if you coddle them.
  10. Dick Morris weighted by party ID, which is a big mistake. Gallup messed in 2012 because they predicted that the electorate would be a lot more white that it actually was. Each election cycle, the electorate gets more and more minority, it doesn't regress.
  11. That D.A. got filled full of bullets and for once, Veronica is actually scared of someone. Between that and Candace beating the crap out of Oscar/Brandon, this was a pretty violent episode.
  12. It has always seemed like there were issues at Fox News. Most of the female anchors seemed to be dressed for going to a club or a dinner party, not for doing the news, so it's not surprising that Ailes wanted high hemlines.
  13. A taco truck on every corner is not a strike against immigration. There's a taco truck that pops up at night a few blocks from where I live and no one complains about it.
  14. Below 80% is nothing. Trump is still nowhere close to being President with those odds.
  15. I really think Hillary's speech is going to cause Trump to have another meltdown, because he hates being called out.
  16. Interestingly enough, McCain seemed to let go of his animosity toward Bush despite that trick Bush pulled in South Carolina about McCain having an illegitimate child, which helped Bush win that primary. I suspect that difference is that being defeated by Bush is the primary was nowhere near as bad as being defeated by a black man in the general.
  17. The thing to remember about the media is that they need absurdity to keep ratings. No one turns on the news anymore just for information purposes, they only turn it on to hear about someone saying something stupid or crazy. Print media is the same.
  18. Just contributing a little Olympic presence Asafa Powell
  19. His political career was over even before he ran for President. He has no future in office.
  20. Watch the whole thing. Please.
  21. Trump is saying all these crazy things to stay in the news cycle and not be upstaged by the Olympics, IMO. Not that he isn't really unhinged, but there is a method to his madness. These pivots and resets aren't going to do a thing, because the damage is already done. On top of that, Clinton has booked millions in air time and Trump has booked zero.
  22. At this point, there is no way to force Trump out of the race other than him stepping out voluntarily. Even if the Republican Party wanted to take the nomination from him, it would only be ceremonial. He'd still have the Republican line on the ballot. You can't force anyone out of an election when they have been chosen by voters.
  23. Events are open to anyone who gets in line in time to get a spot before the arena gets full. Had he been thrown out or prevented from entering the media would have made an issue about that.
  24. Establishment Republicans will continue to back him, because all that matters to them is the court. They want to preserve the conservative majority at any cost and gambling with Trump is their only chance to do that. Clinton will undoubtedly appoint younger and liberal justices to any vacancies come up, which will completely shake up the court. That terrifies Republicans.
  25. I don't think Trump has dementia, he's merely a narcissist with delusions of grandeur. He has been behaving like this for years, it's just that the presidential campaign has allowed it be put on full display. Being a narcissist with delusions is a mental health issue, but at the same time Trump doesn't appear to be mentally incapacitated. He's mentally disturbed, but he still knows what he is doing.
