Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I wish Kenya were more like Camille Grammer. Not that bitch was a world-class [!@#$%^&*]-stirrer and very calculating. A boss, as you would say. With Kenya, you see the rough edges more (hello, the batteries and the bullhorn). And let's be real, she's inauthentic. She comes off as a woman without a core, even with Aunt Lori "grounding her." And no real friends in the cast. Even Cynthia abandoned her last night. I would like to see both her and Nene gone.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That was a bizarrely unsatisfying first part of the reunion. The dynamic between these women is every bit as toxic, if not more so, than NYC S4, when they purged the cast. Outside of Kandi and Phaedra, whose relationship seems genuine, these women CAN'T STAND each other. And once that's the case, as it is now in RHOBH, something's gotta give. Nene looked as ugly as her behavior tonight. She clearly didn't want to be there. Kandi really checked her ass too.

I wonder how much of the actual violence will make it to air.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I suppose it would have been a editing nightmare to re-arrange the sequence of events if indeed the fight happened early in the taping. I'm sure it colored everything that followed. I'm LMAO at Cynthia recoiling from Porsha and Kenya in that trailer. For me personally, I actually don't think Nene came off that poorly in her one-on-one with Andy. She seemed subdued compared to her earlier appearances, where she was playing the grande dame. Yeah, her comments about Cynthia were crappy (and response to them overwhelmingly negative on Twitter), but she spoke the truth.

Was surprised at the vitriol and ridicule Kenya got on Twitter for how devastated she was about the dog. I get that some people don't understand the bond between people and animals, but I'm a big dog guy. Whatevs. Nene needs to get over herself. She's acting like she's Dame Maggie Smith herself and can pick and choose projects without honing her craft. Plus, why hadn't we heard about this fashion line before? Shades of She by Sheree...

Married to Medicine
Solid season premiere. Interesting to see the doctors as the nucleus of all of the drama. Dr. Heavenly certainly came on a bit too strong, but at least she made an immediate impression. Love Dr. Simone and Dr. Jackie going in on her; I really enjoy their friendship, which feels genuine.

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Well, this is what Colin Egglesfield a.k.a. Josh from AMC is up to: getting arrested for disorderly conduct in Arizona. Mugshot at link. http://www.people.com/people/mobile/article/0,,20802636,00.html

Interesting. Bravo did put RHONY behind RHOA this past Sunday for sampling, and it only managed around 1 million viewers out of an almost 4 million viewer lead-in. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2014/04/01/sunday-cable-ratings-the-walking-dead-wins-night-talking-dead-real-housewives-of-atlanta-shameless-naked-and-afraid-more/249656/

Yeah, Luann's absence has been deeply felt, by me, at least. I love to hate her. I adore Heather (although admittedly she's been a little grating). Can't wait for "You wanna deck me, honey? You might want to stand up straight. You wanna deck me? DECK me."

I wonder if they hired extra security for the NJ reunions, since that franchise set the precedent for actual physical violence (the Joes, Teresa, etc.) I can't help but feel a bit sad about this, though. Will we see security lurking around the perimeter of the set at all ATL reunions? It's a bad look for the only black franchise. I want to see how it plays out, and if it completely overshadows the other conflicts we wanted to see resolved this season. (Phaedra must be thrilled, for many reasons.) Given the coverage the fight is getting, Bravo is guaranteed big ratings for it.

Not that it's that much more of a reliable source, but US Weekly is confirming the physical altercation between Porsha and Kenya: http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/real-housewives-of-atlanta-stars-porsha-stewart-and-kenya-moore-get-in-scary-brawl-during-reunion-taping-2014273

Not a bad mugshot. Nene was quite striking in profile.

Santa Barbara Discussion Thread
Apparently, she was nominated for playing Heather on GH in the early '80s, but I think her other noms were for Gina. Never did care for her as Janet and don't like what I see as Heather (which, granted, isn't very much). But she seems born to play Gina.

I'm struck by how sexy Justin Deas is in the clips I've seen of SB. He was like an anti-aphrodisiac on GL. And yeah, chemistry out the wazoo with Mattson (another actress I've found problematic in other roles).

Oy. With this her messy behavior on this trip, Kenya has totally lost any audience goodwill she's gained this season. Shame. Apollo's body is on point. Too bad he's a nutcase and a lowlife.

Tyler Perry's 'Haves and Have Nots' on OWN
Oh that was a mess. Was he playing that for comedy?

Tyler Perry's 'Haves and Have Nots' on OWN
Wait, Benny is actually dead? I thought Katheryn just put him in a different hospital. There was a lot of sloppiness in terms of continuity. I thought the last scene between Jim and Candace was really well done acting-wise, but that scene with Candace bringing everyone in the room and extorting the Cryers was laughably awful. I've never seen a show that can veer from brilliance to ghastly incompetence within one episode, but that's TP for you.

HBO's Looking
I liked Tovey on Being Human a lot and wanted to see him play gay, but I don't find him physically appealing, which I know seems like an odd contradiction. And I have an often visceral repulsion to what the Patrick/Kevin relationship represents.
-
HBO's Looking
The actual sex was too skeevy and uncomfortable to be hot for me. Patrick looked like he was suffering through it. I can't help but feel a bit of schadenfreude for the Kevin/Patrick shippers. A lot of them were saying that Kevin was better for Patrick for the most superficial of reasons (they share the same race/class/social status), even though we knew very little about Kevin as a character. (Meanwhile, we knew a great deal about Richie.) Now we have confirmation that Kevin is a total sleazeball, and it's great.

HBO's Looking
I had been spoiled on the Patrick/Kevin sex scene, so I was surprised that HBO didn't include a warning for sexual content or nudity for this episode. I have problems with the dialogue on this show. The scene in which Patrick and Agustin talk about Richie and Patrick says he "could spend all day licking Richie's armpit" didn't ring true and seemed like a failed attempt at SATC-esque dish. It seemed silly, especially given Patrick's complicated feelings for Richie.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Has there been a husband on a franchise who's been as desperate for airtime as Peter? Maybe Simon from RHONY or Joe Gorga from RHONJ. But Peter inserts himself in places where he has no business AT ALL, like this Kordell/Porsha stuff. Plus, he's the main reason why the Pillow Talk escalated into violence both with Brandon/Apollo and with Kandi/Todd. Forgot Slade from OC.

HBO's Looking
Not only did the scene show how sleazy and manipulative Kevin is and how desperate Patrick is for validation, but I just find Russell Tovey repulsive. Blech. I wonder where they'll go with the Kevin character now that Tovey is a series regular. The show clearly wants us to prefer Richie, so I'm wondering if Kevin will go full villain (well, as much as a show this naturalistic will allow).

HBO's Looking
I'm sorry, but I was grossed out by that sex scene. Kevin is creepy.

HBO's Looking
I find it interesting that few have brought up that what Kevin did could have the appearance of sexual harassment, even if it occurred outside the workplace. After all, Kevin is Patrick's BOSS, and what he did was extremely unprofessional. Boss/subordinate relationships rarely end well, and I can see Patrick being slightly weirded out by a drunken kiss from his supervisor, even if they had some intense flirtations. I know I could never date a boss.

HBO's Looking
Happy that Patrick had the presence of mind to reject Kevin's drunken advances. Julia Duffy looks fantastic.
