All of NYC and much of the Northeast look like they’re under a sepia filter right now due to poor air quality (the result of smoke from wildfires in Canada). People are recommended to stay indoors:

On the basis of taglines alone... it feels like I'm coming home to OG OC! Right down to the ubiquitously blonde newbie who looks like a Tamra-Gretchen-Peggy Tanous prototype.
The music got a little kick, which I'm not sure was necessary. I'm already over the glittery special effects. Those flying oranges are like a Fanta ad.
ETA: LOL
I’ll miss the little zooms with the whoosh when the housewives appear with their names, but at least they kept the gate.

Good.
Having Djokavic meet Alcarez in the semis is so dumb. They shouldn’t have been in the same half of the draw. This was the most desirable matchup….and it won’t be the finals.
If points counted from Wimbledon, a lot would be different.

Lanier is fine but I miss Hunter King as well. A lot of the material AL is struggling with currently HK would’ve had an easier time playing, she could knock out those bratty whiny freakout moments with little effort. AL’s Summer should be written as icier and more indignant.Totally agree. AL isn’t suited to Summer written this way (which is, truthfully, in character). HK wasn’t credible in the boss-bitch moments, which AL plays more easily.

Just read and saw the clips from the women's doubles controversy where the ball girl was accidentally hit with the ball. It was clearly an accident and they didn't deserved to be disqualified. Apparently the umpire only gave them a warning, but the other pairing complained which brought in the supervisor and tournament referee, and they were the ones who made the disqualification call.
Bouzkova and SST’s Instagrams have been inundated with angry comments.
They lost to Perez/Melichar in the QFs.

I love Michael Graziadei, but his faux-James Bond intro pose kills me every time I see it.

Another week at the top for Morgan (nine weeks, passing Miley’s “Flowers” as the longest-running chart topper of 2023), with TS and Ice Spice nipping at his heels:

Cameron is a lunatic so I could see how things like grooming might take a backseat to his obsession with Sharon.

DGA has struck a tentative deal. It is said that the WGA has its own proposals that do not align with the DGA’s demands, making it unlikely that DGA’s progress on residuals and data transparency would significantly impact the writers (one of their largest concerns is staffing requirements for episodic series).

There’s not a single thing about B&B’s stories that interests me. Y&R at least has a couple of mildly intriguing ideas (Christine back in Phyllis’s orbit, Nate/Audra) that we know will be terrible in execution. (Christine will be the Coyote to Phyllis’s Road Runner, for instance.)

It’s worse here than yesterday. I’ve been having a headache (haven’t been outdoors but air definitely gets in my building from outside) and this might be why:
