  2. Well, that’s going to be a question for anyone, especially because he’s Russian. But you have to imagine he’s being tested a lot. The big, prolific champions have usually stated they are tested more. Until there’s a public announcement of a positive test (and if they can nab an iconic superstar like Maria, I suspect anyone can be caught), it’s all speculation.
  3. Gauff has done it! Woeful from Penko in that third set, but Coco held her nerve.
  4. Ostapenko has a lot more experience in these situations (she’s a Slam champion, after all). Certainly it’s beyond impressive that Gauff can get this far in any main tour tournament at 15. Let’s see what the third set brings.
  5. Gauff a set away if she can hold her 15-year-old nerves...
  6. Medvedev wins Shanghai rather easily over Sascha and leap-frogs over Federer to No. 3 in the Race to London.
  7. One of the better SNL parodies in recent memory during David Harbour’s episode last night.

  10. Gauff/Ostapenko could be a very entertaining final too. I wonder which Jelena will show up.
  11. Medvedev is just rolling like a boulder. Meanwhile: LOL.

  15. And her next match against Petko is totally winnable. I dunno. If Sascha is as sloppy and unclutch as he was today, Berrettini could sail through.
  16. And Federer out in spite of a massive choke from Zverev to lose that second set after holding five match points. Oh and Roger was sniping with the umpire and also got a point penalty. When are we going to put this “classy” nonsense to bed?
